Jerry wobbled, feeling winded as the world swam and the blades slashed deep. Marcus's blows had softened a bit, he wasn't sure if the man was taking it easy on him, or if he really was quick enough to slip out of the way.
"The... the act of creating music together should be bribery enough!' Jerry snarled, built up frustration ebbing through him as he hauled himself through the mud.
Alright, he couldn't pull his band together. Couldn't find himself a girlfriend. But he could blow that smug face off.

When Jerry got serious, Jerry got serious.
It was always surprising to see when Jerry got serious.
The bow did more than sting, it hurt, it burned, and Marcus was betting he'd be sleeping on his back with a nice wrap over what likely was a ********-" Grunting as he was flung into the mud and forced to get back up, the moon bit back another curse as he charged forward, slashing.

The light left Jerry's eyes as he flopped face first into the mud.
At least a handful of bubbles confirmed he was alive and would probably be fine, if a bit scratched up.
Mud in broken-shield slashes was probably not hygienic.
