Feng's arms were getting tired, but he was doing really well. It was a grueling mental battle to decide if he was going to keep pushing to win this or if he could give it a rest. In the end, he didn't hit nearly as hard as he should have because he was too busy thinking.

Al on the other hand had been biding his time throughout his thrashing. Once Feng seemed to be distracted enough he took the opportunity to aim and crack Nuru across his face. Hard. And then scrambled to get away while he was (hopefully) distracted.

Feng hissed as the weapon whipped across his face ans stumbled backwards. He was too distracted holding his head between his hands to adjust to the dull throb to even attempt to take.
Jesus, that hurt.

Luckily Feng's weapon could still function at a longer distance. He sent the sharp end flying towards Al.

Al was hit by the weapon and went flying through the air before running back up to return the gesture in kind with a hard whack acrossed Feng's face.

Feng took the brunt of the attack and curled in defensively around himself, trying to avoid taking more damage the next time Al's weapon came for him.

The self defence may have dampened the attack but had not stopped the onslaught entirely. Al swung again and again determinedly until he finally grazed Feng.

When there was a break in the attacks Feng quickly struck out with the huge head of his weapon.

Al flew back again at the blow, this time staggering a few steps backwards. His mind was spinning. If not for the fear shield still in place, he would have sworn he had a concussion. But he didn't. It didn't. He had to keep fighting for as long as he still had one ounce of strength in him.
He had several ounces it turned out as he swung Nuru around and threw him at Feng, dog-head first like a spear. He was determined not to go down without a fight.
