She stared curiously at Bix before looking back at her opponent. He was still in range. No matter how hard he tried to escape, did he really think the sun hunter would let him go? Then again, Harland instead tried to come closer to use his gauntlet. All the better for Alaska. That just meant she could bring down both of her leiomanos upon him. "Hmph."

Harland tipped an imaginary hat to Bix, grinning wide. His real one had fallen down around his neck, quite untippable at this point. He had, by this point, learned that he'd take a pretty solid thrashing if he went near Alaska. Well, lessons learned, right? He filed that information away.
She'd be good in melee combat, a helpful partner for someone like Harland, whose weapon was designed to take things far away and bring them in close. At the moment, though, he contented himself with using the hookshot function to target one of her wrists instead, trying to hinder her ability to hit him with her weapons.
Harland kept it to himself, but they looked kind of like little crocodile heads. He grinned as he thought so.

Harland was beginning to feel the wear and tear of combat, and though he was trying to remain as polite and cheerful as possible, he did kind of want to nap.
Mostly he just kept aiming for her hands, for her arms, trying to hold her back even if it was hard. The razor wire would do its job even when he was unsuccessful in his ultimate goal.

Once he had her arms snared he held tight, pulling the razor-edged cable more taut and refusing to let go until the fight was over if he could help it. "Are ye as hungry as I am? " he asked, with a smile.

She was still trapped in his lasso, but at least she could still grip her weapon. In a stroke of pure sun hunter genius, Alaska spun around and whacked him with her leiomanos.
