As if they were aware of her disappointment in regards to the seaweed, a particularly friendly set of tentacles greeted her. Physically.

Had Mimsy not been wearing diving equipment, she would have made a very startled noise.
She still did, really; it just wasn't audible in the slightest. The tentacles seemed to accept her offering, and released her soon after.

They were gentle, for the most part, and seemed almost curious.
Mimsy froze and tried to think about anything else.
This made her into very unamusing prey, and they released her again, disappointed.
