His friend did have a point. Who wanted sandy donuts or eggs. He hadn't thought of that when he had suggested what he had literately run into.

"Let's sit outside," he suggested. "I've been stuck inside for a couple of weeks." He held the door open for Xander. "And, like you said we can always go to the beach afterward we eat or at another time." He was actually a little relieved his friend had suggested this rout. He hadn't thought about the fact of pushing himself to much. The last thing he wanted was to end up back in bed.

After hearing were the two wanted to sit and grabbing a couple of menu's the waitress held open the door to the outside seating area.

Auden pulled a couple of chairs together and spread out. He did not feel up to or in the mood to try and sit like a 'proper true human'. Just the thought of half his body being bent at that angle made him twitch.

He smiled briefly when the menu was handed to him.

"Order what ever makes you full and happy," Auden said as he looked over the menu. "I don't know what I want. Everything looks good, but that is what happens when you swear you've ate nothing but mush for a couple of weeks." He gave a weak laugh.

He knew that he wanted a side of or something to do with apples. He had missed that the most on his previously limited diet. Now he just had to figure out what he wanted with his apples. Normally anything overly sweet was a no by preference. But now that he looked at the apple pancakes he was greatly tempted. Warm apples and caramel. He could really careless about syrup or whipped topping.

The waitress returned and left once more after having their order.

"They say it is better to eat small amounts throughout the day. I personally don't know if there is any truth to this. I just show up when the dinner bell rings," he laughed.

He sat there for a moment afterwords saying nothing and just staring off into no particular place at all. "I miss home." He finally said. "Everyone else has gone and come back at least a couple of times. Mom says we won't leave our temporary housing here until she is sure that I won't relapse." He sighed.

"The meal schedule at our home is pretty strict also. If you miss a meal, you miss a meal. But, mom doesn't stop us from snacking. But snacks in our home is mostly fruits, nuts, or other healthy treats."

He took a sip of his drink and nodded his head, "okay I'll tell you about home. I just don't know if it is what you consider proper. It is so large you can get lost in it. There are, I think, in total eight bedrooms. Mom having the largest. There is just about a bathroom to every bedroom with a couple extra. Each of the bedrooms is decorated by the person that uses it. Alison loves the library. Willow loves the outside garden as well as the laundry room. I don't really have a favorite room since I am a bit limited in my exploration depending on which bottom half I have. But, there are a couple of offices." He stopped to think. "A foyer, tea room, living room, and parlour are just a few of the miscellaneous rooms. Of course we also have a kitchen, dining room, and closets. Then there is the stable and place for the hired help that isn't apart of the house but is still on the property."

"You know we should visit each others houses sometime," Auden suddenly sounded a bit more perky.

"Mom acquired the house from her late husband. She won't take about him or his passing. She ignores the subject all the way around. There are only a handful of pictures of him in the house."

"As for the servants. They came with the house. They stay with the house. We are told not to abuse their services."

Auden frowned when he noticed the change in Xander. Perhaps he should have left the house to imagination. He didn't realize that the size of ones home made a difference.

"I'd love to visit your ship." He hoped that the persistence would pay off.

"Turning chores into a game. I like that sound of that." Auden smiled.

He was about to say something else when the waitress brought them there food. Once she was sure they were okay and everything was correct she headed back inside.

With the site of food he had forgotten what he was going to say. "Looks good." He settled on saying since he couldn't remember what he was going to say.

"I know about the basics and I also know how to fix stuff out of a box or the like. That satisfies mom. In the event we don't have someone to fix our dinner she doesn't want us to starve." He grinned. "Or, go broke eating out."

He took a bite of his pancakes and for a moment enjoyed them. He didn't normally enough sugary foods or treats but there was something about this meal. It was amazing! He was almost sure it was due to the fact that he hadn't ate anything 'real' in almost two weeks.

"So how about you? Has the cook of the ship or your mum taught you anything about cooking?" He asked after a couple more bites of his food.

"Well if you don't mind eating out a box or can I'll show you what I know," Auden smiled. He knew very little about the kitchen but he knew enough not to starve.

He ate a couple more bites of his breakfast. "This is nice. Just sitting here out in the open with you." He was just now really starting to realize how much he had really missed contact with people. Being sick sucked.
