As Howl spoke, Omen looked at him with absolute adoration. They had spent long nights together discussing each other and their relationships. For the first time in his life, he had learnt how to be honest with his feelings. Ever since the moment he had first had the courage to utter the words ‘I love you’, he had promised to never hide how he felt.

There were no secrets or lies between them. Despite their differences, they accepted each other.

"Thank you." Omen dipped his head in gratitude once he blessing was spoken. Now he hoped for a moment alone with his mate, to let the moment linger between them.

Omen felt slightly bereft after telling a stranger how he felt, but there was also a relief to being honest to somekin who did not know him, when there were no personal stakes involved for he had the impression that the legendary would not deny them a blessing even if she did not agree with their answers. When she spoke, her voice echoing in his head, he was relieved that she seemed to be pleased by their answer.

He echoed Omen with a soft thank you. He closed his eyes, for they did not offer much. What matter was that Omen was by his side at that moment. With his eyes closed, he did not see the pale blob that was the cheetah leap up and away from them, disappearing as suddenly as she had appeared, except for the soft good luck that just brushed their minds before she was truly gone.

Here he was, to be a father with a buck and a doe who were willing to give him so much more than he felt he deserved. Leaning his head against Omen's, Howl let himself relax into the moment, hopeful and optimistic about their future.
