Shuca shook himself. The web stuck to his fur and zapped him repeatedly. When it finally stopped, he sent another blast of water at Sheoldred.

"Shuca, are you okay?" Locke called down.
Shuca actually rolled on the pavement in an effort to free himself from the webbing, but all he succeeded in was getting muck and grime all over his pelt. He fired another Water Gun in an attempt to wash himself off.

It was becoming clear that Shuca was not going to win, and Locke could not bear to see his dear friend get hurt any longer. "Stop, Shuca! We forfeit!" Locke shouted. "Come back."
The vaporeon fled from his opponent and leaped back up onto the trainer's podium. He lay down at Locke's feet and started panting; his fur was a mess of webbing, mud, and garbage stains.
"No hard feelings," Locke said, ignoring the muck and scratching Shuca behind his ears. "It was only our first battle."

Lenore looked up in surprise from the book she had begun to read mid-battle as the other trainer surrendered.
Uh-oh.
The girl frantically began to search her pockets for Sheoldred's pokeball as the metapod grew increasingly obviously angry. "Crap crap crap..." Erika would kill her if someone got hurt fighting Sheoldred, that was the agreement.
Finding the pokeball, the girl was able to return the metapod just as she began to fire electrified webbing at the vaporeon's trainer - luckily it had been cut short so it didn't reach it's intended target. Lenore sighed. Erika wouldn't kill her now, but Sheoldred might.
The girl gave a tentative wave to her opponent. "Uh, thanks for the battle. Bye." She still had to do that much, though.
