"Well, I don't see a little lady here, and you tell me everything else under the pumpkin sun. Why not this? You can come to me for dating advice yet I'm not allowed any of the reward in the way of juicy details? I find that very unfair."
He shuffled a little more, trying to get closer to her. "Barth and I have a very open relationship. He goes after other boils, which means I can go after anything or anyone I want. It doesn't mean we don't want each other. It just means we're not limited." He smiled. "So..about kissing and telling?" He leaned in a little more, a bit closer to her face now.

"Rude." Amrita pouted, though she chuckled off the accusation. "Not a little lady? What a terrible thing to say!" She was trying very hard to sound completely mortified, but she came up short; it was just too amusing. Calder was shuffling in closer, but she stayed put; she didn't lean away from him, but she certainly didn't lean any closer, either. Perfectly in the same place, save for a few minor adjustments to keep herself balanced.
"Are you so sure there are juicy details to tell?" It was an innocent question accompanied by a little tilt of her head. Her gaze flickered down to his smiling lips, lingering there for a moment before looking back up at him, a little smile lingering on her lips. "You want me to kiss and tell? That's a little one-sided, don't you think? ...What do I get out of this little deal?"

"Oh, little deal? You are sounding more like a demon each day. Should I start calling you Mistress?" His tail flicked, giddy at the playful exchange that very few had entertained him with.
"What does a naughty lady like you desire? You have the attentions of a laboring Igor and the school president. Ah, but they are both undead. How about I show you the warmth that only a monster can provide?" He leaned in now, seeing as she had not leaned back or kept him from advancing. Did she want to be kissed? Was she really a 1 boil kinda ghoul or was she curious about pushing that previous limitation?

That slow, lazy grin returned. "That depends, does that mean I'd have your loyalty?" It may have sounded like a tease, but she was serious. It was never an issue she joked about. When he leaned in this time she finally moved, leaning back just a hair. In that space of breath though, she grinned up at him.
"You're pretty sure of yourself, for a boil who could barely walk into my room."

"You don't need to walk for the things I'm suggesting." He said with a smile, but it soon dropped at the more serious topic. "You've always had my loyalty. You're close to me, Amrita. You are part of my herd. I would tear the arm of any boil, ghoul, or hunter who dared touch you without your approval first. I don't let you into my room, my own territory, without trusting you. You are the few ghouls I know that I even give a frog's a** about." He leaned back again, frowning.
"I thought you knew that."

Oh. Oops. Looks like the other her had this in the bag. Well, now it was time to salvage the situation as best as she could.
"I did know that. How could I forget?" Her voice lowered softly, hurt by his sudden cold. "I thought we were just...you know, playing. Banter."

Glad for the confirmation, he leaned back in, hands on either side, pressing down upon her. "Ok then. Let's play." He said, having the same enthusiasm a hyper dog much show at the mention of the world "ball." This time he leaned in for the kiss, moving in as much as he had to in order to connect.

Just like that, the situation was salvaged. Of course it meant that the Kelpie was on her like an eager dog, but it was better than the alternative. This was much more acceptable than losing a loyal friend. He leaned in for the kiss and she didn't shy away, her cold undead lips meeting his much warmer ones. She held the kiss for a moment or two before pressing another to his lips, her hands sliding lightly up to curl her fingers into the fabric of his shirt.

Aside from Christof, he hadn't really kissed an undead before, especially not a ghoul. Despite being dead, she didn't have that heavy chemical order that Christof had, and there was a sweeter fragrance to her. Flowers, slight undead, a very distant smell of the preservatives that kept undeads alive and relatively fresh. It was one he picked up on when Amrita would come over to sleep with him, but now he could taste it.
When the first kiss was fading, he simply stared, wondering, absorbing the experience, before Amrita followed with her own advance. Her hands slid to his shirt, a soft blue fabric that hung loosely on his muscular body. Flicking his tail, he moved his own hands, one moving her to her back, while the other moved to unzip the shirt she wore. All the while, he pressed with a new kiss, this one stronger, hungrier than before. Calder had a lot of experience in his department, and was curious how ghouls compared to boils.

Her sense of smell was nearly non-existent, but she imagined she could smell water on him. The musk of a creature who dwelled in powerful waters. Even if it was only in her imagination it was something to think about, especially since she needed the distraction.
He pressed her back against the mostly unused mattress and she complied, using her grip on his shirt to pull him down with her. She felt the hand against her chest, and moments later heard the telling sound of the jacket zipper being pulled. There was a small moment of hesitation in her kiss, scared for a moment of what he would do when he saw the lock on her chest. It could ruin everything, and cast doubt where she didn't want it to. She had already seen the reaction to it with Christof, and if Calder was anything like him it only spelt trouble.
So she broke the heated kiss, and pressed a hand to the one on the zipper.
"Calder, wait..." She started, hesitating. "Remember when I said I hurt Christof, because he hurt me first? Well...it's because of this." Shooing his hand away, she took up the zipper and pulled it down perhaps a little slower than necessary, peeling the fold of the jacket to the side to put the lock and chains onto view, sitting just above the line of the dress she wore under the coat. "I woke up with this after the tear in the sky. It's embedded, it won't come off. He saw it and pulled, trying to rip it off...so I retaliated." She explained, keeping her gaze lowered as if shy about it.
"I just...don't want to get hurt again because of a stupid lock..."

Calder stopped, hovering over her before looking down. He had been intending to find that lock to see if it was true, and when she showed it without trying to pull away, he was glad his job was made easier than he had planned. Looking down, he regarded the lock and chains. It didn't look right, and he knew it didn't belong there.
"Does it hurt? Did you get it looked at?" He looked up at her. "Christof isn't a doctor, but he probably didn't like seeing foreign things on your. Even though you are special to him, he also has some ...undead beliefs I don't understand when it comes to parts and bodies. He probably wanted to yank it out because he's not the most delicate or rational person when it comes to something new he doesn't get and he's afraid of." He explained, looking back down at it.
"Can I touch it?" He looked up at her.

"Not unless someone pulls on it. Otherwise I feel like it belongs there." Which was more or less true. It was different, not what she remembered and certainly caused her a lot of problems, but she liked it. "Well, whatever the reason, he hurt me, and I wanted him to stop." Plus she wanted to teach him a lesson to leave her be, but that went unsaid.
Her gaze snapped up to meet his, searching his eyes for any indication of malice. Seeing no immediate threats, she merely nodded her approval and lowered her eyes again, intent on watching his fingers near her lock.

It was good it wasn't hurting her, but mysterious locks never sounded good. No doctor himself, he could only test a few things and deliver the news to Malo- oh. He forgot that the Plague Doctor probably was still upset with him. That could cause some troubles.
"Does it do anything? Glow? Make you feel fuzzy? Make you feel weird?" He asked, reaching out and letting his hands touch the lock. He pressed his fingertips on the brim, the most he could get with the lock being sunk in her chest, and wiggled it as gently as he could. It didn't move, and he let go, touching the metal. It was cold, but then again, so was Amrita. Reaching up, he let his fingertips move over the thin chains that came from her shoulders to the lock. He wondered why there was even a need for chains when the lock was firmly in place.
"It doesn't look comfortable." He admitted, and leaning down, decided to test it in one of the few ways he knew how - by licking one of the chains.

"No, none of those things. It's just...there." Though she suspected it had to do with the clear gaps in her memory, but that was never something she was going to admit. Her hand remained on his wrist, ready to pull his curious hand away at any moment. For now it seemed safe enough to let him do what he needed to. Maybe he could bring the information back to Christof and avoid all the conflicts about it; it was such a harmless little thing, after all.
"I don't even feel it anymore. Like I said, it feels like it belongs there." She trailed off with a little giggle as she realized he had actually licked a chain. "What are you doing that for?"

Calder only gave a hum of thought before looking up at her. "To figure out what it's made of. What do you think?" It was obvious to him at least that, when encountering strange things, licking and smelling were the top ways to figure something out.
It didn't taste strange though. Just.....metallic. "Well, it's not hurting you, so that's fine for me. Can't say it's the prettiest piece of jewelry you could have gotten." He said with a frown. Amrita had looked better without the lock.
