"I have not had the pleasure to meet her in my adult life, but I believe you." said Dyakida. Her memories of Eshe were faint, from when she was very young and raised with the others born only of Aisha, before her mothers had taken over. She remembered that Eshe had a kind face and a gentle touch, but little else, and even that memory, old as it was, was fading into the usual muddle of confused colors and impressions as all her visual memories were. "You said you were patrolling, Sister?" she said, thoughfully, "I don't want to disturb your route or interrupt. May I tag along?" he would likely notice things that Peyla would miss, and it was not so bad to have interesting company on a resource hunt. And male hybrids were interesting and often pleasant company, in her limited experience.
"Are you patrolling for something in particular," Like perhaps a radaku pack? "or simply all threats to our tribe?" she asked, curious.

Rishima's antennae gave a momentary twitch as he thought about her question before giving he finally decided that it should be alright. He hadn't run across anything noteworthy today and if anything cropped up he would protect his sister from it, it was as simple as that. Giving a smile he said, "I don't mind having the company. I am sort of patrolling at random at the moment so if there is anywhere that you would like to go I could accompany you there." It would give him something to do save for walk back and forth across the same path that he'd been treading for some time now. A change of scenery might be good for him.

When asked about what he was patrolling for he gave as soft sight and admitted to her quietly, "Ahh... Oba, actually. I know that man at the tournament said that they were planning to invade at a specific time but what if they find out about his betrayal? What if they move their attack plans forward? It something I find myself thinking on often so I have been patrolling to keep an eye out for them." He didn't know that giant of a man that had made Oba intentions clear to everyone else, as such he couldn't trust him. It was best that instead he kept his eyes and ears open, to keep a look out for the dangerous that might very well appear and threaten their people. It was something he couldn't allow.

"I promise I will not get in your way." she said, Peyla dutifully - and proudly - guided her along.

"I go nowhere in particular - I seek materials to rebuild my workshop, and I wander wherever they may be found. I need many things that the jungle provides." she continued, "Randomness will help me." random exploration, as long as she could find her way home, covered a greater area and allowed her to stumble upon useful things.

"Oba... Oh yes." she thought over the man... sister's... words for a moment. His thoughts mirrored her own style of thinking, his what-ifs very rational and plausible. "Many others seem to have relaxed. They feel that there is time. Time does run out. I applaud your vigilance..." she frowned, trying to picture what she knew of tendaji's shape in her head. It was very difficult and muddled, the picture incomplete.
"But I think that, when they invade, they will not make it so far into our home. The jungle is very dangerous to the unwary, and even to we who call it home..." she unconsciously rubbed at the skin near her useless eyes. Yes. Jahuar was dangerous. "I think that it would devour many of their warriors and sap the strength of the survivors, even if they are prepared."
She hadn't actually given the matter much thought - her focus had been on improving her craft, the little dramas between her sisters, and on rebuilding after the fire. But as she thought about it, the more it made sense. She was, comparatively, safe here.

"Alright, then I see no reason why we can't patrol together. Hopefully we will both find what we are looking for, sister." She would find the materials that she needed and he would, hopefully, find some sort of peace of mind. He just wanted to know that things were safe, that his people, his friends, his family, and even the sisters who didn't care for him, he wanted them all to be safe. He could only hope that his hyper vigilance would aid in keeping things safe he thought to himself, glancing around the area, glad to see that there was nothing out of the ordinary for at least the time being.

Glancing over at his sister he couldn't help but to nod, "Some I have seen seem to believe that man at the tournament grounds but I just... can't." He said, wondering if he should feel guilty for that or not, "Even if he is being honest who is to say those of Oba aren't? They could have fed him false information after all to lull us all into a false sense of security. It just doesn't sit well with me is all." He knew full well that his not wanting to trust the giant from Oba was a bad thing, it was about as bad as those of his sisters that didn't trust him because of his mixed blood. He was being hypocritical, sure, but he just wanted to keep people safe. He could feel bad later if it turned out the man was telling the truth.

As Dyakida spoke of how she felt that when they invaded they wouldn't make it far, that the jungle was dangerous, he gave a nod, "That is true." He murmured thoughtfully, rather liking the idea that the jungle itself might aid in keeping them safe, "The plants and animals of Jauhar will likely aid in cutting down on their warriors fo sure, then it will be up to us to deal with those who remain." The idea of fighting, and of killing, wasn't something that Rishima took likely but if he was forced to take the life of an Oba warrior to protect the lives of those he held dear... well, then it was something he'd have to do. He merely hoped they wouldn't make it this far when the time came for them to invade, be it when the giant said they would or before.

Peyla gave the Radaku a smug look as they began moving again. She had an important job! Yes she did! She resumed her usual task of keeping an eye out for interesting objects and guiding her Alkidike around obstacles. And, of course, she tried to make sure she looked extra good for the nice male hybrid. Look at her! She was a good sprite.

"Indeed." she said, "What better way to throw us off of our guard then to tell us a half truth? And what better way to do it than to misinform a traitor?" She shook her head. "If he was dishonest, perhaps they used his wife against him? I was told he was married to an Ice tribe woman?" she said thoughtfully.

Peyla darted off suddenly and returned, equally suddenly, with a large broken spike from some plant, bleached by the fast acting rot of Jahaur. She chimed proudly - it was quite a find - before handing it off and resuming her role. Look at her. Look at how good she was.

"Mmm. Yes." she said, recieving the plant spike and slipping it into her pouch, "Jahuar protects those that protect themselves, so I wonder if we shouldn't find ways to trap the jungle and confuse invaders further? Help our homeland along?"

Warmed up, her mind was starting to enjoy the puzzle of what to do with invaders.
"Or disable them." Yes, for hungry Radaku to eat.

Rishima couldn't help but to sigh softly, "Yeah, there is far too much that we don't know and what we do pales in comparison. We don't know all of what that man knows, only what he told us." Could they trust those words, it was the biggest question on his mind at the moment. Glancing over at Dyakida said, "Yeah, though I think he is married to a woman from Sauti? She's one I seen before in the passed when I went to that rocky land, but he wasn't present at that time. It's quite odd though I suppose there is always the chance that he was just away while we were visiting." He shouldn't let his imagination about where the man might have been run wild, not when he needed to focus on truth, not speculation.

Following Peyla with his mismatched eyes he found himself wondering where she was off to until she returned with a rather nasty looking spine, the sort he'd seen on some of the plants in Jauhar, a natural defense against animals and insects that would otherwise cause the flora harm. He gave a bit of a smile then, figuring it was the sprites way of telling them that Jauhar itself would fight back against Oba if the need arose, "It seems that even our home land is readying for the fight. I just hope that such things are dealt with before they reach the forest and most certainly before they reach the shores near our own homeland."

Giving the area around them a once over he said, "Here's to hoping that Jauhar chews them up, spits them out, and shows them that invading this place is a fools errand." Jauhar wasn't meant for just anyone, only the strong survived here, and he wasn't sure if the strangers from the South were prepared for what lived in this area. It would be a great obstacle between the Oba invaders and Aisha, along with all of her children, and if all went well the mother tree would never be close to any danger.

"Mm. I only know what I heard. You would know better than I." said Dyakida with a shrug. She, obviously, couldn't have seenn the man or either woman, so she had little way of knowing for sure. "Away... or hiding." she added, "But in the end, it is the same. You and I choose to take his words with a pinch of salt and a dose of caution." she smiled, and there was the slightest hint of wickedness to it.
"Yes. Here's to our homeland and its vast dangers." she said, nodding respectfully, "May it ring our Mother with a wall of tooth and claw, spine and sap, and darkness and poison that our foes cannot pierce. May your spear, and the spears of our sisters, strike true, and may they run, screaming, and remember that this land is ours." she nodded again, pleased at her speech, "Mmm. Heres to that."
