Krishna flashed a quick smile at the wink, his silent manner of indicating his confidence in his work. Kor had proven nothing but professional, which the florist greatly appeciated. Whatever history he may have had with Richard truly did not matter to him. He did not resist at all whenever paper was pressed to his arm and a measurement made. Whatever Kor needed, he would happily oblige.

Krishna turned to Richard and shrugged. Did his partner want to go get something to eat? Did he wish to remain here? The more silent of the two would normally make all of these decisions but everything was on the candy man's dime. The rainbow-haired man would never pass up a free meal, but he was just as happy waiting to see the fruits of Kor's labor. Naturally patient, he was even more so in the name of art. Art could not, should not be rushed. How else could it rise to the desired perfection?

Richard caught that wink and if he were a bird, his feathers would have ruffled and puffed out, a sure sign of the slightest hint of jealousy that brewed within him, but he tried not to allow the other two to catch wind of his ire. Though, that would be asking a cat not to grow annoyed with the child that kept tugging at his tail or Baldwin not to beg for that last piece of bacon on that plate, and he allowed himself a single huff in response.

However, whatever jealousy, as small as he fooled himself into thinking, was gone when Kor set a hand on his arm, followed by the tracing paper, and it was replaced with curiosity, mixed with a hint of apprehension. He had no idea what the tracing paper was for or why he was tracing the outline of his arm, and his brows perked as he proudly displayed his ignorance. "So, what's this for? If you're going to compare our arms, I can tell you right now that his arm is far more thicker than mine... my guess is that he keeps a fly trap plant in the back and wrestles it everyday that keeps him rather toned."

When asked to take a seat, Richard was quick to oblige, practically running to the couch to claim it as his own. He made sure to leave enough room for his partner, of course, but he made certain to claim the side closest to Kor, hoping to get a glimpse as he did... whatever it was that tattoo artists did before putting ink on the skin. Like a child in a candy store, Richard expressed genuine interests, even if his behavior was only slightly exaggerated. "I've never witnessed a tattoo artist at work before, so I think I'll stick around and watch? It's such an interesting art form, so precise and perfect. I don't want to miss a second!"

Of course, he hadn't seen the tattoo gun, yet... for now, he'd simply enjoy himself. And maybe get to the bottom of this tension that lingered in the air, and why it seemed to be originating from his good friend.

Being professional was something that came easy... usually. But no matter, that, the professional mask was slipped on and so it would remain there until the tattoos were finished and he got paid and saw the customers out. Then he'd... go nap again or something, if more people didn't come in before then.

"The paper," he started, "is so I do not draw too big and I know the shape of your arms. No two arms are exactly the same, and thus an outline needs to be made pin pointing if you've scar tissue there. Scar tissue is harder to tattoo over, so I do try to avoid it if I can." He looked at both papers and nodded. He brought them over to a table behind the front desk and flicked on a light box. The man hadn't even glanced over at the two right now, because his mind was focused on getting these done and right.

The numbness that came with his job was welcomed. It was a lot of repetitive movements and sounds, which would allow him to slip into a relaxed, almost trance like state. With a noise, he grabbed the books and put them on the table next to the light box and settled himself down on a stool with no back. He was practically straddling it before he picked up a pencil and began to draw the designs. "Since you are staying," he murmured, clearly half distracted now. "There are magazines, there's a TV and some games, if you want to occupy yourself for the time I'm drawing." He winced at the impersonal tone he used, but he was honestly in his 'work zone' so it happened. This is what he did, what he loved to do. He didn't spend the better part of two years learning and scrimping and saving to open his own shop, not without the help of a large loan, anyway.

He sighed as he sketched, glancing over to Richard and then Krishna every now and then and flashed them small sort of smiles to let them know he still knew they were there.

Krishna made no real acknowledgment of the explanation that Kor gave - not due to any disrespect, but because he already understood the purpose of the arm drawing. The back piece had been an even longer process with a larger piece of paper. It had alsto taken several sittings to get the full picture inked and then even longer to add the proper amount of color. By comparison, today's session would be a minor task for major reward.

"We will be fine," he assured their artist. He examined the magazines but found none that particularly intrigued him. He had not been watching moch television, due to his being in storage while he lived out of the flower shop. He pursed his lips as he perused the games and finally selected a pack of cards. He held them up to Richard and offered, "Poker?"

Like an eager child at a business for a field trip, Richard was completely enthralled with the prospect of watching Kor at work, even with the strange tension in the air, and he would have been completely content in simply watching the artist work his magic on the paper. When Kor explained to him what the outline was for, his red eyes went wide, and he gave an indignant huff, flexing his arm though he knew it not to be as impressive as Krishna's. "Oh, that's a smart move, though I think you need to make mine bigger. That's not quite a fair representation of my arm, Thor…"

Had their not been some obvious tension in the air already, Richard would have easily have known that the impersonal approach would have simply been that of an artist getting into the zone and he wouldn't have taken the matter personally at all. Yet, because he knew he had done something to upset the man, he couldn't help but take it personal, and he was lucky that Krishna was there to pull his attention away, using the third best distraction that one could provide when corralling one Richard Moreau to do their bidding.

"Hm, you're a fool, Krishna… taking me on in poker. I hardly ever lose, and I certainly won't lose against you." Richard said, flashing Kor a wink, before retreating towards his friend. Sooner or later, he'd get to the bottom of this… after he defeated the florist completely and thoroughly.

He heard the words poker, but he wasn't paying attention to them, honestly.

The zone is where he was at. He shuffled, sketched, erased things and sighed as he continued drawing. The specific of the rose is what was killing him, honestly. Roses? Easy when you didn't have a florist to tattoo for. He had a feeling if he got one detail wrong he'd be doing the whole process over, thus why he was spending so much time on that little stool.

There were vending machines if they got thirsty, snack machines next to those, and across the street was a coffee shop. Honestly, there was so much to do around his area. That was the very reason Kor picked this place. If they got tired of waiting, they could venture out and come back in and the whoke sketching process would be done. Some, however, liked to stay in the shop so they could get tattooed right when the sketching was done and transferred onto their skin.

Every now and then, Kor stopped to scratch his side burn, shift his position, or get a new piece of paper. He hummed to the song that was playing on a radio in the back, unsure if the other two could hear it. Usually he had music going here from the TV, but since Kor had been napping, he'd turned it off so it was nice and quiet. There wasn't even any buzzing of anyone else being tattooed. Kor didn't have the budget to bring in more artists, despite having the room for them. Maybe one day he'd take on an apprentice, but right now? No, it was just him and sometimes his desk girl. Rubbing his eyes, Kor grabbed a pair of black framed glasses and put them on after a few more minutes and rolled his eyes. He hated wearing these glasses, but damned if they didn't make things easier.

"So uh.. How long have you two been together?" It was an offhanded question, but he'd finally asked. This was also his way of letting Richard know he figured out the dynamic of their relationship.

One might think that with his normally neutral expression that Krishna would have a good poker face - and he would be correct. However, he had never been all that lucky when it came to cards, and if anyone could read the subtle body language he possesed, it would be the ginger haired man sitting across the table from him. So far, three hands had been given, and three hands lost. After the third straight loss, the Indian had risen and retrieved a Dr. Pepper from the vending machine. Despite his general preference for spicy foods, carbonated beverages were one of his biggest vices, if a luxury he could rarely afford.

Unfortunately, the drink was not for him. With nothing much to bet, a drink had been the wager. He plunked the plastic bottle down onto the table next to Richard and went to look at the most recently dealt hand. Great - more crap.

'How long have you two been together?'

The effect of the seemingly simple question was immediate. The florist slowly, calmly lowered his cards onto the table. It was, literally, the calm before the storm. When his head lifted to glare directly at his partner, and he spoke, there was no denying the undercurrent of anger and annoyance held there, "Richard. What did I say about spreading rumors?"

At least the change in topic allowed him to hide the fact that he had probably lost the most frequent hand of poker.

Richard wasn't a very humble fellow and even he knew it. He was always told that if one had it, one must flaunt it, and doing otherwise would be seen as squandering a precious gift. While others may have been talented at various other things, such as arranging a bouquet or crafting a perfect tattoo, Richard liked to think that he was simply meant to be a poker player, and the victories he was receiving only seemed to point to his natural talent and skills. Even Lady Luck was blowing kisses his way, or in the very least, appeared to be holding quite the grudge match against poor Krishna. He could have taken the victories in stride, but since when was humility a part of the Moreau family's vocabulary?

"Hm, you sure we're playing the right game, Krishna? Perhaps you're more suited to spider solitaire, or Old Maid?" Richard said in a teasing matter, looking at the spoils and licking his lips. While Kor did his work with the sketch not too far away, Richard was certainly enjoying himself, as this game and the drink were doing a mighty fine job in settling his nerves. Not that he'd admit to being even the slightest bit afraid of the thought of the needle hitting his skin and leaving a permanent mark… no, absolutely nothing to be afraid of! "Mmmm, Dr. Pepper. You know, I never really cared much for this drink. Then a spent some time aboard in Europe, and the moment I stepped foot in the good, ol' US of A, all I could think about was… damn, I want a Dr. Pepper. Ah, memories… I'll have to indulge you in the adventure sometime, my friend- I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it. More so than this game… let's go again, I'll even take it easy on you this time."

All was going well, and then Kor spoke up, taking him completely by surprise. And while his poker face in the card game was unrivaled, it shattered in a matter of seconds at Kor's question. Never before had his eyes ever been so large and he swore his bottom jaw slammed against the ground, as he spun his head around back and forth between the two so quickly that he swore he was going to give himself whiplash. Krishna? Him? Together, as in… DATING?

"Wait, WHAT?" Richard stuttered those words, and Krishna's accusation certainly didn't help matters in the least! His cards dropped from his hands as he motioned them to emphasize his words as he defended himself. "I have spread NO such rumor, Krishna! Absolutely no such thing came from my mouth! I swear!"

He then looked to Kor, trying so very hard not to laugh, as he asked, "Did… did you think that we were… dating?"

Well, those reactions definitely registered as surprised to both of them, which made Kor surprised. His eyes widened and he blinked a little, watching both men before shrugging. "What else am I to think, honestly? You two come in here and want matching tattoos? Though... Never seeing Krishna's back piece threw me off, then again I figured..." Well, he couldn't exactly say what he figured out loud now could he? Kor didn't even have the courtesy to look sheepish or embarrassed for being wrong. It was a very legitimate thought to two men coming in wanting matching tattoos who seemed to be close enough to feel comfortable talking about nothing and playing cards for a half hour while Kor drew something for them.

It wasn't far fetched at all! Turning back to his work, Kor's hands did move a bit faster out of nervousness. "...If you want to break something?" He'd seen how eerily calm Krishna got and listened to that clipped tone. "There's an alley full of beer bottles you can throw at a wall or something." He was trying to defuse any tension he'd accidentally caused between the two and just looked over to Richard and eyed him before focusing on the paper.

Maybe he was crazy. Maybe he'd just read the signs wrong, well.. Now there was no maybe about that part, he'd read all the signs wrong and made up this story in his head. Kor had it in his head that he was going to be so mad at Richard that he wouldn't actually speak to the other for a while but now? It was just his imagination so he was more upset with himself. He rubbed his eye with the heel of his hand for a moment and sighed. "Nearly done."

“Not necessary.” The florist’s words were still short, as they ever were, but the heat that had previously exuded was gone. He was not the type to go and fling glass bottles against buildings to assuage his emotions. There were more direct ways to handle the situation. He could see Kor’s reasoning for his assumption - however foolish said assumption ultimately was. Richard had a way of hanging on him and speaking that could create a false impression, and it was a matter that they had discussed before. Krishna had made his opinions on any romance between the two of them explicitly clear on the first night they had met, and for all their adventures together, he had never changed his mind.

Still, there was the matter of making the situation clear to Kor. He indicated Richard with a sweep of his hand as he explained, “Business partners and friends, but not lovers. Sometimes, Richard goes too far in implying otherwise. My apologies, Kor.” With that, he moved off to the vending machine to get himself a drink. Rather than a Dr. Pepper, he settled for another drink he had not had in a long time. The root beer was wonderfully frothy as he unscrewed the lid and took his first sip.

Some of the aloofness between the two others now made a bit more sense, if perhaps the two had flirted, as the ginger had a wont to do. Now, any lingering emotions between the other two men could be handled out of his sight. He was truly only interested in the work.

Richard knew that it'd be considered terribly rude to openly laugh at Kor's situation and he was trying his best not to let it overcome him, but it was just too difficult. His strong grip on his emotions could only go so deep and he at least managed to filter most of it out with the exception of a small snicker, and the apologetic look he flashed the both of them was sincere at least. "No, please… forgive me, but that's nothing at all like that… despite my many, many attempts to snake my way into Krishna's pants, he's a stone statue and will never yield."

He wanted to flock over to Kor and hug onto him and shower him with apologies until he was blue in the face or he told him to shut up, whichever came first. But perhaps it was something that had to wait until the air cleared up a little between them, not to mention it might have impeded whatever progress that his friend had gotten done, so he refrained from tackle-hugging the dark-skinned man for a little while longer. As Krishna rose to retrieve another drink from the vending machine, he leaned closer to Kor and whispered softly, "I'll make it up to you, if you'd like. Unless I'll be too sore from the tattoo…"

Which brought him back to the reason they were here, and he fought against his rising curiosity to sneak a peak, not wanting to be too nosey but knowing that he could no more fight the desire to look no more than he could stop himself from trying to figure out a way to get both of these men in his bed this evening. It was never going to happen, but it was certainly worth dreaming about, right? They couldn't take away his dreams! "So, once you're done drawing the design and if we're happy with it, then what's next? I've never received a tattoo before and Krishna refuses to indulge me on the process, so I guess I'll have to get it straight from the stallion's mouth if I want to know. This… isn't really going to hurt, right?"

His face was growing hot with embarrassment of making an assumption like that. He guessed the old saying stood true. Assuming makes an a** out of you and me. Or in just this case, him. Kor felt like such a tool right now ad just ducked his head to his work. No, Kor couldn't look up right now because his face was hot and red and he was an idiot and very much feeling like just that. He sighed and kept his eyes on the paper he was sketching on. Even the tips of his ears were getting red!

"I s-see. Not your fault, Krishna. I'm just a moron."

The snickering didn't help at all and made him duck his head further, completely focusing on the task at hand. No, Kor was never going to live this down. He had a feeling Richard was just going to make it out to be one huge joke between them later on and right now that didn't sit well with him. His stomach was turning over in knots until he heard Richard start speaking.

So he'd wanted to get into Krishna's pants. Well, he couldn't fault him for that. Krishna was a good looking man. He gasped when he heard the whisper right against his ear and shuddered, stopping his hand before it jerked and ruined all his progress.

Luckily the subject changed and Kor could feel the heat dying from his face as he thought. "Then I transfer it onto specific paper and put it in the right spot. I wet the paper and the design goes on your arm and I start with the outline. It's the part that hurts the worst. So if you make it through the outline, you're golden. I mean, even shading isn't that bad. I have to go slow with the outline and it's a smaller needle than actually shading and filling in color."

Krishna returned from the vending machine to find that flirting was still going on, judging from the close proximity of Richard and Kor and the darkening of the artist’s skin. However, whatever discomfort had been caused was starting to clear, and that was all the better in his eyes. With the attention drawn comfortably away, the rainbow-haired man lounged in his chosen chair, letting the root beer’s foam tickle his tongue before swallowing it down. The snickering that erupted from his partner did not bother him, mostly because he knew that the sound was not directed towards him.

Listening to Kor made the florist only more appreciative of his skill. The best way to indicate that one truly understood anything was to explain to others. In an attempt to spare any further discomfort and to speed up the process, he spoke up, “Art is worth any pain, Richard.” He brought the can of root beer to his mouth and drained it before commenting with a small snort, “Since you are afraid, I will go first. As soon as our artist is ready, of course.”

Richard felt he was adaptable to most situations, but this only proved to be his downfall. On the one hand, he could handle jealousy and had managed to weasel his way out of such situations before, but this wasn’t the type of jealousy that he was used to. If one could even call it jealousy, considering one of these men had absolutely no interest in him in that way and nor would he ever… this was just awkward, and Richard was never trained how to handle awkward.

He knew one thing was for certain… that mocking and teasing Kor for this was a bad idea, and as much as Richard enjoyed getting a rise out of another person, there was something exceptionally heinous about that and he wanted no part in it. The little bit of laughter that DID make it out was enough, and Richard hoped that there was some way to salvage this… maybe he could pull the ‘I’m too adorable for you to be mad at’ routine? Or just let the topic drop and focus only on the life changing decision he was making… the more Kor explained the process, the more intrigued and… nervous, he was getting and he hoped it didn’t show too much. “Just got to survive the outline… right, I think I can handle it.”

Giving the design another lookover, though… he realized that there were a LOT of lines. But he had allowed chaos into his starseed twice before… surely this wouldn’t be worse than that!

“Now that’s hardly fair…” Richard said, looking over at Krishna and making such a face. “You have a higher tolerance to pain than I do, so if I see you’re fine, I’m going to get the wrong idea, and then the joke would have been on me! I’ll go first… I’ll be the one to decide just how painful it might be!”

Ahah, flirting was still happening and probably would the rest of the session, honestly. Kor.. was just a flirty man and Richard was here, which is who he wanted to flirt with, so this wasn't a bad thing. Maybe for Krishna, but not for Kor. Smirking a little at Krishna's words, he nodded. "No pain no gain, my friend," he hummed out and then looked up at Krishna when he said he'd go first.

"Alright, take a seat. I'll get you started. Shouldn't take long at all." Kor was quick with his work, and good, if he did say so himself. Now that he could focus on work, the blush died of his cheeks and he was getting serious.

Until Richard said he wanted to go first. Tilting his head, Kor thought a moment and looked to Krishna before grabbing that paper he'd been drawing on, finally finishing it and nodding. "Let's let Richard go first." With that, he motioned the red-head to one of the tattoo chairs and had him sit on it. "When I start you can't move."
