"People live in the trees?!" Ime asked, clasping her hands together excitedly. The question has been building up in her chest as Sathe spoke, but it wasn't polite to interrupt! She had only seen a few trees herself, but to have a lot of trees? That sounded exciting! She'd have to come visit some day and see what it was like to live in the trees. She had heard of forests, but had never seen one in person. Look at her now, though! She knew one and a half Shifters!
"We don't get too many differents people here, but I guess that's just because it's different. Sometimes you meet somebody, though, who's from faaaarrr away, but not a lot. Like you! You're from far away, and now I know you! When I'm bigger, I'm going to come visit you and maybe I'll bring a capramel and my Mama and your Mama can be friends too."

Sathe nodded her head with enough force she thought it was going to fall off. "Mhm! And they do it in Jauhar too! I got to go there once, you know." Sathe bubbled over with excitement. Ime was so interesting. She was so different and Sathe could show her so much! But she could be shown so much, too. Sathe knew that. Mama always said don't take without giving, so it wasn't fair for Sathe to talk all the time and not let Ime tell her things if she wanted.
Her ears perked at the mention of Ime coming to visit in Tale. "Oh! You should come! You should come and see everything! And bring a capramel. Do you have one as a pet? How long do you think before you come visit? You can see Big Sister's garden! And my house in the trees!" She squeaked at the end of her sentence, realizing that for one: she was way too excited, and two: she was rambling again. She wasn't even giving her friend a chance to speak. Oops.

"Wow!" Ime exclaimed, honestly in awe. People lived in trees in more than one place? That was pretty neat! She couldn't imagine living in a tree, but maybe the trees in Tale and Jahuar were different than the trees in Sauti. Sometimes you walked a long, long time and didn't see any trees before the next settlement.
As her new friend rambled, Ime only giggled. She thought it was funny! Usually she was the one 'talking ears off'. That's what her Mama said, anyway.
"Oh, I don't know! I'll ask my Mama. Maybe soon! I don't have a capramel, but they're good for traveling. Sometimes you can borrow them, like... um. I dunno, like you can borrow them!"

Sathe grinned from ear to ear knowing that her new friend thought what she was saying was neat. It was nice to have someone her own age to talk to, and she couldn't help think that every few minutes. It was new that was for sure. Big Sister was so much bigger than her.
Speaking of Big Sister, Sathe's ear perked up at the sound of her name. She turned her head to see that Aminah was back from her trip out and was looking for Sathe to go with her now. It must have been time to go. Sathe looked up at the sun and noticed just how long they had been talking. "Oh no... my Sister's here. I guess it's time to go home then." She turned back to Ime and grabbed her in a huge hug. "Alright Ime! You have to come visit in Tale! And you can bring a borrowed capramel too!" She grinned and squeezed her friend again before turning to wave at Aminah.
Even though it was reluctantly, Sathe was coming.

Ime pouted slightly. Already? But they had just started! She turned to see her new friend's big sister. Maybe they'd both be that big some day...
"Alright," she said with a little nod, squeezing Sathe hard in their hug, "I'll come visit soon! I'll try real hard!"
