Ian wondered if she had taken his meaning the wrong way, but didn't bother to correct her, merely gave Stormy an idle smile, plucking at the hem of one sleeve. He tilted his head, amusement sparkling in his eyes, and said a bit dryly, "Disney? I never would have guessed."
The teasing was gentle, rather than mocking. Ian arched a brow. "You have siblings here?" he asked, and then shrugged. "I haven't got anyone, really. Well, I suppose I've got Marcus, if you know Marcus Hassan - we're cousins of a sort, which is slightly confusing, but whatever. Other than that, I'm family free here."
He flashed a bright smile at her, his gaze moving towards the water.
"What? Did you see something?"

"Some tentacles, you know, just the usual . . ." Judging by the tone, though, yup: childish. Gentle as the tease was, she had to consciously stop her hands from fidgeting more; poor Ian was stuck with a more sensitive than usual Stormy.
"Oh, Mr. Marcus? That's cool!" she remarked. "I don't really know him, but we went on this one mission once and he was a pretty chillax dude? And I know he's Cass's husband and stuff . . . But you'll get a family soon, trust me!"
A light lit her face, eyes bright as she continued. "I don't have anyone blood related here, but--well for one, Nevada's practically my older sister! And Evan and Tuck, they're like my Sun and Moon brothers; I adopted them first," she added in a conspiratorial whisper, grinning. "Miss Candace is practically a mom, you'll learn pretty quick. And I think of her as like my mentor--a Mist Momma Mentor. So she's MMM~"
Wait, that sounded weird.
"N-Not like mmm like I like her like her or like she has a nice body, but I mean she does because she trains a lot a-and like I saw her in lingerie once so--" Wait no that was out of context too--"Th-That was for a training mission!"
Somehow that sounded worse."I-I mean--I mean she has a boyfriend and so do I so the only one I'm be mmm-ing at would be him, n-not that I do or anything but I would if he gave me a reason to, but that's not what I meant with Ms. C 'cause you know, i-it's M-M-M so I was just being . . . really lazy with the acronym . . ."She started to walk faster and wished she had hair to hide her pink face behind."I think I'll just shut up now."
