Starry blushed, returning her attention to the holes in the tent, furiously trying to fix them. He was so gentle and kind, and yet she felt so awkward when she opened up. Was it because he'd been gone for so long? No, that couldn't have been it. They had been meant for one another, and that meant she should be able to open up to him the way that she used to. Right?
"Thank you Dame." Every bit of her voice was pure love and affection for the yellow demon that was headed away from her. She didn't want it to be just her in the spot without snow, but it wasn't like she had much of a choice in the matter. The tent needed fixing, and Dame had a good idea, exploring like that. Maybe if they could get into a cave, things would get warmer and they could actually try and figure out where to go from there.
The female waited, having patched the tent the best she could. It may not have been the best sewing, but it wasn't the worst she'd ever done. It was easier than it looked, having had the practice with her nets for fishing. Thank the guardians for that. Starry smiled a bit, leaning into the snow drift that was protecting her back as she waited for Dame to return.

Her lingering words, filled with love and warmth, echoed in his mind as he dragged his feet through the snow. It was that sort of small, little victories that kept him going. Kept him trying to regain her trust. As he walked around he continuously glanced at his map and at the mountain tops. It was then that he noticed a little glint, slightly different than the shimmering of the snow around it. The demonic hurried his pace towards it. "Come on, come on, be something useful..." Upon reaching it, he stuck his hand into the freezing snow and curled his fingers around the thing.
"Now lets see." He pulled his hand back, pulling the Can of Corn out of it's hiding place. A beautiful, wonderful can of corn. It would be useful for them as at least a little bit of nourishment. Quickly he got to scooping away the surrounding snow, seeing if anything else had fallen beside it that could be of use. Of course though, all it won him was frozen fingers. A slow sigh as his steel blue eyes gave one last look around. It had been worth him coming out after all, but he needed to head back already to check in with Starry. They needed to start making ground, quickly. He turned back around to where he had left his blue demonic.

Starry was shaking by the time that Dame had returned, and had taken to pacing a bit to try and keep herself warm. It turned out she could only take that much snow for so long before she got too cold to handle it. The blue demoness was wondering if she could tell if she'd get frost bite through the blue skin on her fingers. Something told her, she wouldn't have any idea, aside from not feeling them anymore.
"Dame!" She called, rushing up to him when he finally came into view. "Dameon~" Starry was so very happy to see him again. It meant there was a chance at getting off this hellacious mountain sometime soon! Or at least to somewhere warmer. "It's so cold up here." She frowned, shivering to add to her point.

As soon as she popped into view again he increased his pace to a jog to meet her. But jogging in foot deep snow was not as easy as one would have typically believed, and when they reached each other he was a bit out of breath. "It...it is..." He watched her shiver and his eyes widened. Without further thought, he wrapped the wool blanket around the both of them as he pulled her into his embrace, dropping the corn and knife to hold her proper. "Sorry I took so long. Lets warm up a bit before continuing." He spoke with rose cheeks, flushed with more than just the cold.
He was out of breath, she was so cold. What a pair they made! Starry tried not to laugh, snuggling into him for the warmth. Mmmn, he did feel good. Even if she was mad at him for not telling her her surrogate mother was gone, or that he was leaving to lay her to rest! It wasn't like they hadn't grown up together!
"The tent is set up back at the hole in the snow?" She offered, green eyes looking up for the familiar steel blue. He was sharing the warm with her, And warming up really would mean being inside that tent for a while.

When she snuggled closer, he blushed even harder. His mind went completely blank, so when she spoke again he shook his head like coming out of a trance. "The...tent...Oh, yes! That's a good idea." He took a few baby steps back before reaching back into the snow for the items he discarded. "I didn't find any signs of the mountain fairies...or any other pae. I did find a bit of food though." The demonic held up his can of corn proudly. It wasn't much, but it was something. "But lets hurry into the tent and warm up. Being out in the cold too long will make our feet and hands unusable."
Starry nodded, smiling. "Excellent job Dear. No reason to stay in the cold too long. I even got the holes patched up for the most part." Not that she hadn't tried to stitch together the entrance flap once or twice in her enthusiasm to get the tent in working order again.
"So we've got whatever was in our packs and the can of corn?" The demoness was a little reluctant to let go of him. He was warm. A lot warmer than outside without him. And it'd be even warmer with both of them inside the tent, but oh Guardians did she not want to trek it right that instant. "One of us is going to have to move first." She laughed, embarrassed a bit by it all.
