Knowing her friends were coming had gone a long way towards enticing Orah to brave the convention. She had really wanted to go, but would have been quite lost if she had had to go alone.

Costuming had seemed like the thing to do, but... well, her talents lay with flowers, not sewing, so the cosplay she'd finally settled on had been almost embarrassingly easy to put together. A black dress, red shoes with a red hair bow, and, of course, a broom and black cat plush toy... she was pleased with her 'cosplay' of Kiki. It was simple, easy, didn't show more skin than she was comfortable with, and was honestly adorable on her.

Thus armed, the teen made her entrance and stood staring about for a bit, confused and intimidated by the large crowds of people. Even though she loved to meet new people, such a large event was hard to process all at once. She didn't see anyone she knew right off the bat, but that wasn't surprising with the crowd... hopefully someone would turn up soon, but until then... what? Stand around by the door and hope?

The sight of the raffle booth drew her attention and Orah sidled over to it, offering the operators a bright smile.

"Can I have some raffle tickets, please?" She said as she unzipped the back of her plush cat, revealing it for the little backpack/purse it really was.

Eliza hadn't ever been a child to be stuck in front of the television watching anything, she'd rather have been outside, so many shows, anime or otherwise were lost to her. Still though, she always been into fantasy and had seen so many Disney movies, she'd lost count. Since coming to the city for school three years ago she wanted to try everything she possibly could that had anything to do with city life, so the convention was right up her alley.

She found it amazing that people could dress up and she had to be one of them. She wasnt really all to sure what to where, but not knowing much else and never one to think of google she chose to be Rapunzel, a disney princess that best represented herself and looked a lot like her too!

It had been quite a task getting her long blond locks done up in that crazy flower braid, but after recruiting a neighbor to help it had been accomplished. The neighbor had been all to happy to take a brush to the wild child's hair. Eliza had to say the best part about the outfit was no shoes and she had no intention of putting any on if she could help it.

So here she was literally skipping through the convention her blonde braided locks bouncing behind her and stopping every few moments to inspect every booth she went by, sticking her head in every video room and even something called a larp.

Ashleigh was very excited for this event. She was going with a new friend from school and she had picked out a costume for the girl all herself since the girl didn't really know anything about Adventure time. She'd suggested the girl be Fiona and said she would be Finn, but only because she didn't think Abby would be able to enjoying be a boy.

Leah thought it would be fun to be twinsies and was estatic to see Abby in her Fiona costume. Her mom has put them both together and was going to be walking around with them today. Her brothers went with there father not wanting to be stuck looking at my little Pony merchandise and things of that nature. Leah really didn't understand boys sometimes.

She stood outside the convention with her mom waiting for Abby's day to bring Abby. She couldn't help but to smile. This day was going to be amazing!

To say he hadn't been expecting this plan from Bischofite would be an understatement; to say the least. For one did Alois have a clue about...anime and why? But beyond that what made him think of such a thing and how did he even know these odd gatherings existed? It wasn't that Alex was dumb, nor stupid, but this was far from the sort of social gatherings he attended and thus not something he had a clue about. And it simply didn't seem like a place Alois would venture, though the other had reminded Alex that he really didn't know him fully. Alexandre himself simply wasn't into these sorts of things and thus had to do his own research before signing up for this. He'd done just enough research to get by and at least his booth, and what it was about, was known to him. Somehow, he didn't know when, Alois had gotten into his closet and had found last years Halloween costume and decided what booth Alexandre should do. So here he was manning a Hunger Games booth with some random Lieutenant who was still far too bright eyed for his liking. They clearly hadn't seen nor done much of anything in this war, he might just assist them in ripping a starseed out if this plan should dissolve into a fight. Casting yet another slate eyed glare her way he found himself yet again grinding his teeth as the blond babbled away with some overly enthusiastic Hunger Games fan; about what he hadn't a clue.

While those two chatted he set a stack of t-shirts on the table and took note of the purple tags with a smile. This was a good plan, even if it was odd coming from Bischofite. A sideways look given to his booth partner, and the female she was talking to, as he wondered if he could some how get his partner to sell one of these shirts to the girl. The more they sold the better; and he was all about helping the cause.

After the t-shirts found there place on the table top he went about laying assorted buttons, many little Mockingjay pins, and keychains - little trinkets. The pins didn't have any purple labeling unlike the t-shirts. It seemed that someone had decided that every t-shirt, no matter the design nor size, would be free from enchanting. The other items were safe but the t-shirts would be the energy drainers for them. He hoped they had enough t-shirts to sell to people, he was hoping they (the whole of the Negaverse) make a big haul today.

Bins were put under the table, hidden away from sight by some banner draped over the front of their table, and he turned to his assistant as she finally went to get something for the girl she'd been babbling away with. Finally! "Why not a shirt - one to represent her favorite district." Somehow they had gotten t-shirts, like the ones worn during training, for each district. It was one of these shirts, in fact the whole uniform, which Alexandre wore but he didn't go with District 12 (even though the movie and books focused ont the girl, and even male, from district 12). Nope, Alexandre's shirt bore a single number on the shoulderof it - 1. He had gone with District 1, known for fashion and careers, in a way silently saying who he was as a civilian and as a powered individual.

"Something on my lip? Hm!?"

Scott had scratched his upper lip but couldn't find what Richard was talking about with his comment, only feeling the roots of his mustache. He thought little of it, and there was little time to really address the matter or realize he was being teased when Caleb arrived at the booth. He brought his hand down and greeted him, not at all bothered by his confused reception to his hat. "Hi! I'm not in full cosplay, but I'm King Ghidorah, best of all the kaiju. I made it myself!"

Despite having to work with the interesting young man and his goofy hat (and even goofier hat), Richard was in a humored mood, and even Caleb's costume was pleasing to the eye. Not half as charming as the young man that wore that costume, and more and more he was beginning to regret his decision not to partake in this little cosplay action. "No, I think we're good for now. I'm certain they don't allow hard liquor on the sales floor, but if you want, we can make plans for after? I'm told I can make an excellent White Russian, but I'm sure I can make something to suit your fancy."

When Gwendolyn Caspian heard that there was going to be a convention in Destiny City, she knew one thing. She was there. She was totally there. Between school, work, and her Senshi duties, Gwen needed something to release her geeky tendencies on, and what better way than a convention? The moment she found out about it, she got to work on her costume, and when Anandi suggested one of her favorite Disney movies of all time, Gwen had a feeling who she'd pick. And the costume was surprisingly easy. The hardest part was getting the fake muscle costume to fit under the tight fitting red hunter's shirt.

Even her hair was carefully tailored to fit the character, and Gwenston struck a gallant pose for her Anandibelle, ignoring the fact that her girlfriend was still a good bit taller than her (and the heels that Anandi wore probably didn't help). "Gwenston would leave that decision up to his bride-to-be, but then again, Gwenston's a jerk. I'm kidding, only getting into character. I'm fine with wherever you want to go."

Gwen had her eye set on the Hunger Games booth, as it was the closest one too her, and she gave her girlfriend a nudge. "Why not that one over there? You've ever seen that movie or read the book?"

Aloysius was quite excited about opening a booth at the Con, it gave him a chance to bring in a larger group of fans or maybe even friends. Looking around at all the people he took note of the cosplays he could recognize at the moment. The venue was quite nice and had a lot of room for people to walk by booths and to take pictures with fellow cosplayers from the same series. He smiled slyly in his cosplay of Sebastian, he had taken a liking to the demon butler while reading the series. His long brown hair was hidden beneath a wig in order to fit the right hair style for his cosplay. It had been awhile since he had worn one so he tried to keep his mind off of it as he slowly set up his little booth. It only took him a few minutes to lay out all his Cds, he then sat and waited for anyone to walk by. Kuroshitsuji was his reading choice for the day as he sat in cosplay behind the booth. He smiled slightly at the thought of finding other cosplayers from the series so that maybe there could be a photo shoot later in the day.

After awhile he placed his cellphone on the table so that if anyone wanted to get a sample of the music they could listen to it through his phone. "Now to wait and see. I've never been to one of these before." He sat back down and continued reading, he brought volumes 1 through 10 with him today to keep himself occupied in case nobody approached his booth. He hummed quitely while reading to avoid speaking out loud like he tended to do when he read at home.

Arian hadn't initially planned to go to DestinyCon. He'd seen the flyers advertising the event - there had been a fair few around, but he wasn't particularly into manga or gaming and so hadn't put much thought into it.

Well at least he hadn't until Orah had invited him to go check it out with her.

He'd thought it over for a bit, but had eventually agreed - which had then led to the question of whether to dress up for the event or not. He hadn't asked Orah if she was planning to dress up for the occasion, but Arian had read up a little on conventions and it seemed that quite a few people chose to dress up in cosplay.

Picking what exactly to dress up as had been difficult and Arian had ended up sticking in 'long-haired anime guys' into Google and scrolling through the images. After a few minutes of fruitless scrolling Arian had been on the verge of giving up and maybe trying a search on 'long-haired game characters' when he had stumbled across an image of a long haired guy with a braid.

The outfit had seemed a little too elaborate to pull off, but a bit more trawling through google managed to turn up an outfit that Arian could copy without too much difficulty, although he'd spent a long time dithering on whether to wear glasses or not. Eventually he'd decided to sacrifice his usual glasses for contacts, but had kept them plain despite the fact that the character he'd picked had purple eyes - bad enough he was losing his glasses for the day, even if said glasses were sitting in the right-hand pocket in their case.

Scanning the people around, Arian tried to think on the best way to try and find Orah amongst all the other people there.

Security had obviously been the best fit for Mathias. He was able to bring the pain if need be, and he wasn't light on the carrying department so if anyone dropped he'd be able to carry them to medical with little hassle.

Making his rounds, he kept an eye out on all the cosplays and people attending the Con. Sure he'd of liked to geek it up a little but he had a job to do and he was fine with that.

He didn't really Cosplay much anyway - that was more Corline's department, and she really only did that for her LARPs.

He really hoped that she wasn't here though - that would be really awkward.

Coraline Spencer pass through security only to stop just inside the convention center. Placing her hand on her hip, she glance around as a smile forms on her lips. She wasn't one to actually pass up the chance to be able to cosplay. Carefully pushing her bangs to the side, they were normally on one side of her face. Today though, she actually had her bangs parted down the middle with a little hair spray so they stayed it place. Giving a small tug to the head band, she smiles as she gives herself a look over.

She wasn't going to deny it, the uniform was snug, but it worked as it tugs the zipper down just a little to add the finishing touch. Tugging on the jacket, she carefully slips her cell into a hidden pocket for move into the booth area to check out what was on sale.

She wasn't expecting to hear from anyone today, not even her boyfriend. She been told he had work. So she just wanted to enjoy the day, then she would probably meet up with him later for dinner.

Mathias had, had work, ironically it had been the same place that Coraline had decided to spend her day. As he was making his rounds, he spotted a familiar face, made slightly less familiar by the fact that her hair was parted differently, but regardless of that, he knew his girlfriend when he saw ******** a beeline for her, Mathias looked around to make sure none of the other security guards were in the area. The last thing he wanted to do was to draw attention to himself. But he had to make sure Coraline got out of this safe.

She was his girl after all - he owed her that much.

"Hey, Cora-bug," Mathias said as he got within earshot of her. "Come'ere."

Krishna watched the costumes going past with marked interest. He had an eye for unique individuals, and this Destiny Con was filled to the brim with them. New costumes he had never seen before, fandoms for entertainment and objects he had never heard of until he began setting up his own booth. Deciding what to bring to try to appeal to such a diverse group had proven a challenge in and of itself. Cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, lilies... those were more common in anime and manga, from what he understood, but they were not autumn blooms. If he were to gain the energy his cause desired, and the funds his shop required, then he would have to think more creatively.

He spread the individual flowers carefully, their stems and vines in water for visual appeal more than anything. He also offered chrysanthemum plants and a few rikka styled arrangements for a bit more cost. This decision was good business for both of his causes. Spreading the enchanted flowers would mean more energy; becase they were cheaper, they would also bring more money. Double win.

His set up complete, he began to watch the crowd. His people watching was normally far more dangerous than benign--and perhaps today was no exception. Yet, some of the passersby made his eyes light up with intrigue and even one or two smiles - be they of pleasure or derision, however, was a larger question. (And entirely dependent on the recepient.)

Penelope had never been to a convention. She thought about going in the past to several different ones, but... well, now that there was one literally in her home city, what excuse did she have not to come? She felt a little... underdressed given some of the fantastic looking clothing around her! She had chosen to wear one of her Transformers t-shirts, but even the mighty Grimlock seemed pale in comparison to the finery around her.

But, in a way, it was nice to be absolutely sure that she would not be the center of attention. To just enjoy a nice, normal day filled with nothing but celebration of fun. She was perusing for nothing in particular, but she took note of some B-movie t-shirts and stopped to examine them. She half-knelt to examine the designs, pondering on whether or not Harper might like some of them. She knew her friend liked old movies... but which of these would be best? Godzilla was always pretty safe but some of the others looked nifty...

She bit her lip and tugged on a tuft of her hair as she tried to decide. They were all really nice!

Alejandro wanted to see all the things. There were booths for so many cool things, and especially his favorite: video games. Luckily he still fit in the Mario costume his Mama had sewed for a pageant suit earlier that year. The only problem was that the fake moustache she had adhered to his top lip itched like crazy.

He was really just wandering around to get a view for everything. He would only ask his Mama for something that really spoke to him. Of course, if he found something that spoke to him, he wasn't going to be quiet! He proved that by screaming. "That hat is AMAZING. It's a dragon WITH THREE HEADS." He openly pointed to a blond-haired guy with a moustache wielding said hat. He then ran off towards a guy in a tuxedo and black wig selling CDs and got a bit quieter as he asked, "Hello Mr. Penguin, sir! What kinds of music do you have?"

Abbot had spent the better part of the morning setting up her booth, adjusting her wares this way and that until she was able to stand in front of her booth and could be totally satisfied with what she saw. Not OCD, she argued for the millionth time. Just perfectionism. Big difference. After all, she was only selling simple and hand sewn wallets, so to make up for the simplicity of the design, the aesthetic presentation had to be mind-blowing. Single fold in the middle, three slots for cars on either side, and a pocket for money, all held closed with Velcro. But just because they were simple didn’t mean they didn’t look absolutely stunning. Abbot wa a whiz with her sewing machine and her designs when from simple colors with solid deigns to fandom based with appliques and textured seams. From Supernatural to Doctor Who to My Little Pony, she had it all.

And she was so proud of herself. Especially given the limited timeframe she had.

(Honestly, for an endeavor this size she needed at least half a year, she had a job to work too.)

With one last adjustment, she slid behind her booth and waited, watching the doors open and the people poor in. Teens and young adults alike waded through the sea of booths and poked and prodded, spending hard earned money on triffles and trinkets and all manner of physical representations of devotion to various franchises as though it would set them apart from the masses. A glaring banner of yes. This will surely define me as a human being. Abbot smiled as those same yearning souls came to her booth, eyes wide with wonder and did you do this all yourself? And in that wonder, they would shell out whatever price she demanded simply because of the atmosphere. Excitement thrilled over their skin and she could see it in the dilation of their pupils and the hair that raised over their arms. Ten, fifteen, thirty dollars for a cloth wallet. Your life savings. Your parent’s fortunes. Your house. My fiddle of gold against your soul, little ones.

Simple Single Color Wallets (Single Color, No Appliques) :: $5.00
Simple Multi-colored Wallets (No Appliques) :: $10.00 - $15.00 depending on how many different fabrics were used

Complex Wallets (Multi-Colored, Appliques) :: $20.00 - $25.00 depending on how many different fabrics were used
Feel free to describe the wallet you are interested in. I have not partitioned fandoms into price ranges, so if you want a single colored Rainbow Dash wallet go for it.

Boaz was contemplating sending Mel a text just to make sure at least that she hadn't lost her way when he heard her call out to him. Turning, he flashed her a smile and went over to join her. "Hey. Glad to see you made it. I hope that you didn't have any difficulty finding your way here..?" He observed that she didn't come dressed in a cosplay costume, not really minding that at all so long as she was comfortable in what she was currently in and managed to enjoy herself.

Pointing first to the green shirt that identified him as one of the first aid techs for the con then to the walkie-talkie that he had clipped onto his belt, he went on to explain to her his plan now that she was here. "I really doubt that anything will come up this early in the event but I've got my walkie-talkie here if they need me for anything. Shall we go check out the booths then? Anything specific caught your eye so far?"

Not very far from the main area, where all the action was happening, was located a small cafeteria. It was a popular meeting place by workers of this building but just for this occasion it had been decorated looking like a tiny asian restaurant. It was rather serene looking place, like an oasis in the middle of the chaotic atmosphere. On the food stall were different kind of popular asian dishes carefully set on display, ranging from sushi to ramen to rice dumplings. At the end of the stall was a section for beverages, mainly tea (both hot and cold), ice water or soda. There were also some asian candy and fortune cookies available in little bowls just before the check-out.

Behing the stall was a door that led to a small kitchen where most of the food was made. Jade cared great deal about the quality of the food she served and the best way to reach that goal was having fresh ingredients and use as little time as possible between cooking it and serving it. While the first batch of dishes had been made at yesterday evening, the next ones would be done here. What was the better way to lure customers than a scent of delicious, fresh dish?

Jade really liked her role in this project. She loved cooking and she had a change to stay outside of the chaotic environment. Even though she loved japanese culture, she wasn't really into anime and even less to it's enthuastic fans, otakus, that she had met from time to time, thanks to her interest of tea ceremonies. Jade preferred calmness and harmony and the atmosphere on the main area was far from that.

"Did you check tables are spotless?" she asked from her helper while placing little bento-styled lunch boxes that were designed especially for this occasion on their place, by side of the wall that separated the kitchen from the stall and the dining area. She was careful with those, not wanting to drop them and accidentally break the spell they contained. Or make any other mistakes. She wouldn't fail at this. She wouldn't let the Negaverse down. She wouldn't let him down.

Suddenly, she felt an urge to check out her outfit and hair. As important as the presentation was in case of decorations and food display, it was important in case of her appearance as well. Was she presentable? Tidy? Cute?

Castille was busy wandering through the vendors when she smelled something delicious that caused her to pause and lift her nose like a dog might. She stood there for a moment, then realized that, along with toys, shirts and other paraphernalia, there was food! She clapped her hands together, fishing her wallet out of her bag and making her way through the crowd to the food section. Asian style dishes were everywhere, and she inhaled deeply. Yes, this was going to be her first stop.

She came up to a stall that looked quite cozy. She stared at the display, mouth watering while she tried to decide what to eat. It all looked so good!

After letting her brain absorb what was in front of her, she said "Excuse me? May I have a bowl of ramen?" It seemed like the best choice, though if she were still hungry, those rice dumplings were calling her name.

At least the organization of the event had been early enough that getting a uniform in his size was possible. Trying to look professional in compression-sized shirts with sleeves torn off for being too small wasn't his cup of tea, so Björn was much happier with the proper fitted orange polo. He wasn't going to 'cosplay' or whatever that was or meant, optional or not for the lunch hour. He was going to eat during his lunch hour, and eat a lot. Food times were times for food, especially when dealing with so many people. It meant not getting hangry.

Security wasn't a bad job at all for him, especially give the who 'just look intimidating' factor of the ordeal. Moving through crowds 'gently' was equally easy and didn't usually take much more than a hand on their shoulder and manually sliding them out of his trajectory. Seeing Amethyst on the call as medic was a treat as well, since he hadn't seen or talked to the guy since the Battle of Big Top. He wanted to talk to him, but it woudl probably have to wait until his first round of 'look intimidating and frown at people' took him over that way. Actually, he wanted to talk to a bunch of the agents there- Buddingtonite was there, Alexandre, and then the other security officers that he didn't know but looked altogether rather bad-a** as people went. At least there was time.

But it was early in the convention, and no one had passed out, gotten into a fight, or needed escorted off premises yet. He'd never been to a con before as an attendee, so going as a job wasn't an excitement or disappointment. At least no more than expected, working in any and all capacity beneath Bitchfit. The other's presence and apparent promotions rankled, but he was there for the greater benefit of the Negaverse. Work Harder was a good enough motto to bring him through.

It looked like the other security agents were mingling near the merch booths, so he stayed near the entry turnstiles, scrutinizing entrants for suspicious amounts of sparklymagiclaceyfrills.

Scale model sculpture was an art form practically in and of itself, not counting the secondary stills of purchasers of the resin kits to then assemble the cast pieces, glue, sand, and paint in unique and (hopefully) skillful fashion. They were a branch of toy-sculpture that was highly specialized and almost unique to Anime culture. There was the occasional bleed into the sci-fi/comics scene, but it wasn't the norm. The number of buxom, big-eyed and scantily clad shoujo compared to the batmans and harley busts were like Thermopylae- both nicely trained armies, but vast differences in numbers. There were the mecha and kaiju sculpts to be considered as well, but he personally lumped them in with the 'anime'.

They were all something worth seeing as study material. Quenton wondered if any would be on display- if there was an artist alley, an art show, or any of the other myriad of events usually a part of the convention grab bag. He'd been to a few before, mostly as something to experience and something new, rather than any dedication to a particular fandom. It had given him the knowledge that he'd feel less awkward if he just bit the bullet and bothered to cosplay. Normal clothes were the weird thing at conventions. So he looked for something that was easily sourced out of a thrift shop and wouldn't require a wig or paying for hair dye. His own hair was a more than a bit too long, but Agatsuma Soubi from Loveless was more than acceptable for his tastes- not lurid, not complicated, and he got to keep his glasses. Maybe Delilah will come to the Con? Fashion designs like hers would do well here with the Loli elements usually around. Someone should sell those adorable tiny hats.
