Sweetie Drops nodded a bit, following his lead. He seemed to know where they were going at least. Far better than she would have in any case.
"Ohmygosh! Are you okay?!" She panicked a bit, stumbling to try and catch the other and failing pretty well at it. He grumbled while she was looking for what had tripped him. The fauny took a minute, figuring the sand had covered it back up when he tripped on whatever it was.
If it weren't for the clinking of her hoof against metal, she doubted she'd have found it. Metal... They were on a ship before this, maybe part of it had washed ashore? "Is this what you tripped over?" She asked, squatting to pick up the object. Looked like one of those things in the showers on the boat.

"Mhhh hmm..." Dysmas responded, his voice sounded uncertain though. He would get over it, he knew that. It didn't change how much the pain had stung in the moment, and how embarrassing it had been. He was supposed to be the brave and strong one, how could he do that if he was tripping over himself. Dysmas crooned his head to look at what Sweetie Drops was picking up, "I suppose it must be." He said as he recognized the object. It was strange to find it... for it to come off of where it had been affixed to the wall... it didn't seem hopeful. "Hm..." Dysmas seemed sad, hopefully someone back home would realize that they weren't coming home... The object itself wasn't completely useless... "Perhaps we should take that with us..." he didn't want to share his reasoning and scare the faun more, but an object like that would be better than nothing if they ran into anything unexpected.

At least he was okay. It wouldn't do anyone any good if both of them were injured or really off balance. Sweetie Drops kept the thought to herself, nodding her agreement with the keeping of the item. The faun looked back to him.
It wasn't like Sweetie knew the guy or anything, but he seemed kind of sad. She bit her lip, reaching out to help him up. "It's heavy enough to do something for us at least." Where did that come from? Sweetie hadn't meant to say that. She'd meant to offer him help up.
"May I return the favor?" She asked, still offering her hand out to him. He'd helped her up, seemed right she should do the same for him. At the very least she wanted to make sure he got up in one piece. He was the only other pae she knew on this entire island, and it looked fairly large. Maybe they'd be able to find someone else on there and get off this little lump of land.

Dysmas gave her a light-hearted smile, he wouldn't have had any trouble getting himself up, it was just a stubbed toe, the pain was already gone. However, he wasn't going to refuse the kind gesture, so he took her hand. His mind froze for a moment as he blushed while he slowly stood up with her help. "Uh, right. We were looking for some water for you, huh?" Dysmas reminded mostly himself once he had found his bearings again. "Do you need me to carry that?" He offered, maybe she preferred to carry their method of self-defense, he would understand that.

Sweetie smiled at him politely. At least he was accepting her offer for help. It may have been a stubbed toe, but he'd helped her up when she was down, it was the least she could do to return the favor. And then she blushed. Looking for water for her? He made her sound so selfish putting it that way. It would do both of them good to have water, not just her to fix the major kink in her throat right now.
"It's not too heavy" she replied, trying not to be indignant about it. He'd managed to hurt himself on this, she didn't want him doing it again. "Who knows, might spot a coconut or something to knock down with this thing." Sweetie shrugged, tossing it gently up in the air and catching it. Okay, it was a little heavier than she wanted to admit, but it was still pretty light by her standards. She was an earth fauny for crying out loud. Not as strong as others, but she wasn't a weakling!
"So.... Shall we continue?" The faun asked, looking up at the other. He was certainly cute looking all confused, but she liked this much better. Equals.

Dysmas nodded his head and continued walking towards the jungle, maybe he'd find something else to brandish as a weapon, or so he hoped. The water angel moved quicker along the sand now, although being more mindful to keep his eye on where he was going, although he doubted he would have seen the shower head anyways, it was buried under the sand a little. Finally, the two emerged into the jungle, Dysmas looked around and listened carefully for any sounds that might suggest running water or... otherwise. The jungle seemed quieter then the one near the lake back home. "Hm..." It gave him an unsettled feeling in the pits of his stomach. They needed to find something, anything. Dysmas looked up into the top of the trees, maybe Sweetie Drops had been onto something with her talk of coconuts.

Sweetie followed Dysmas as close as she could without being creepy. He at least had a general idea of where they were going to end up, which was a heck of a lot better than Sweetie had. The faun had wanted him to lead so she could look for anything they might be able to use. Aside from the shower head. The faun was willing to admit she'd missed that entirely. But it was buried in the sand when he tripped right?
The thought made her blush a little, concerning her that she hadn't thought to look at his feet. "Woah." She blinked in awe of the island greenery. She'd never expected something so extensive on an island in the middle of the ocean. This was.. Amazing!
"Lots... Lots of trees..." Her eyes were wide in awe of the sight.

Dysmas stared up at a tree, wincing, that... might... be a coconut. His head turned when he heard Sweetie make a sound. "Hm?" he had been so wrapped up in his thoughts and worries that he was trying to keep bottled up, so that he didn't scare Sweetie, that he hadn't been been paying attention to the scenery or even really hear what she might say. It was pretty reckless, considering it could have been something important. "Everything ok? I'm thinking maybe I should climb one of these trees, see what I can see from up high... maybe find some of those coconuts you were talking about." He suggested.

She blinked, looking over to him. "Look around, it's really pretty here." The faun blushed, returning her attention to the trees. If she thought about it enough, there was probably something they could use up in the trees.
"Now wait a second, you want to climb one?" Her head tilted, looking back to him once more. She could just buck the trees if they found something. It would be safer than climbing all the way up there... "Why don't I just buck the trees? I'm not the strongest faunie, but I'm still pretty good at getting fruit out of trees." She was way better at other things than bucking, but it was still worth a shot right?

"Uhm, yeah?" Dysmas didn't see the problem with it. If he really struggled, he could use his wings to give him a boost, or at least help him land if it went really sour. "Buck... the tree?" Dysmas was slightly confused, the concept of getting fruit down that way was foreign to him. "Well I suppose you can try if you'd like." Dysmas backed away from the tree a little bit. If there was going to be falling fruit, he didn't want to be near it. His stubbed toe was all the injury he wanted on this trip.

Wolfs Heart
Sweetie stretched a little, standing in front of the tree, facing away from it. She hadn't done this in a while, and was admittedly, a little rusty. But it was something she knew she'd remember all her life. There was no way she'd forget something earth ponies did all the time! Heck, even the unicorns and pegasus did it too! It may not have been nearly as often, but it was still something.
Without much warning, and a glance towards Dysmas to make sure he wasn't within falling range, Sweetie almost squatted in front of the tree, keeping her limbs in tight and building power. A quick flash of movement, and a loud thud. She'd bucked the tree, and gotten whatever that stuff at the top of it was down from it. So she did remember how to buck trees. The faun was smiling widely to herself.
"Fruit!" She offered, straightening up.

Dysmas jumped at the loud thud and backed away even further still. He hoped that she didn't hurt herself, either in her attempt to 'buck' the tree or in the results of it. It was actually quite impressive watching the fauny do something like that, he could tell it was a feat of great physical prowess. Dysmas excitedly returned to her when it was done, "Wow, that was incredible! You were amazing!" The male blushed at his over-enthusiasm. He checked out her food offerings. It was just the sort of thing they needed... a coconut too. The milk in it would be enough to hydrate them and help Sweetie with her sand-coated throat. Dysmas smiled at the hope they had in this.

Sweetie blushed, not used to anyone paying her a compliment for something that she'd have done normally. The fauny was more than happy to simply brush the sand off her hands and knees and wonder how they were going to crack open the coconut.
"So... Any idea how to open that?" She asked, curious. She was pretty certain that she could crack it, but that might spill the insides all over the place... And it looked way different than she'd thought it would look. It was all green and not hairy. She couldn't, for the life of her remember why it didn't look brown and hairy. Maybe there was something else she needed to do? Maybe this wasn't even a coconut! Sweetie was almost positive it wasn't a coconut, or if it was, it was defective.
"Or is it a coconut at all?" She couldn't help herself

Dysmas nodded his head, confirming that it was a coconut. "Yeah... we have to get this stuff off. That's going to be the hard part." Dysmas leaned his head back, pondering possible solutions. They had almost all the answers to their survival in Sweetie's hand, but unless they figured out how to get into it, it was useless. "What about the metal... thing... from the boat?" It wasn't sharp, but maybe if they hit it hard enough they could break in. Otherwise they would be on a quest to find a sharp rock next.

Sweetie blinked, looking at the shower head. Sounded like it was a good shot. If not, she might be able to crack it with her hooves. Maybe. "Would you like to try it?" The faun offered, holding the shower head out to him. It wasn't like she didn't trust him, she had honestly just wanted to make sure he had his strength since hers seemed to be lax right now.
"If that doesn't work I could kick it and see if that splits it open?" She suggested, shifting a bit to check how her feet were feeling. Fine and dandy. She would be entirely able to kick more things down or open if she needed to.
