I'm going to be hopeful. I trust Jo with my fictional fixes. She's so talented and has
a deep connection with her universe. As someone who has been writing a story for
over 20 years (for my own personal enjoyment) I can tell you there is SO much
about characters in your head that may not make it into the story. This is a great
creative outlet for her to express ideas she may have had no place to put before.
As far as effects go, they were awesome! I think the CG work in the movies was
always well executed and since the same studio is involved in this movie it should
look just as brilliant. I'd love to see all 10 species of Dragons (since I adore them).
No announcements on cast yet that I've seen. All the news reports are saying the
same story more or less. HERE and HERE were two other blurbs I read that were
pretty informative. Your best bet for up to the minute info would be MuggleNet.

Heh, just realized I should've put some kind of spoiler tag on that post... sweatdrop Anywho, as
for your concerns they're certainly valid. I can see many places where this could go well
or terribly. I'm hoping that we'll get more interactions with some of the cooler creatures
in the story universe. I'd love to learn more about Phoenixes or Dragons for example. heart

Nikkiquin I suppose the Newt Scamander's only merits in HP are his writing of a future textbook
and his grandson marrying Luna Lovegood. It's not a whole lot to go off of to me... sweatdrop
Still, there may be interesting links to the main story and this one. 70 years prior to
the original story is around the time Tom Riddle (Voldemort) was born (meaning we
might catch glimpses of his family during the movie). whee It's also right in the midst of
Dumbledore's "dealing with Grindlewald" crisis. (I am so curious about that story.)
We do know for a fact that JK loves Newt's character quite a bit. She said so in her
interview on the movie. I imagine she has a whole world of fun ideas linked to him
even though it's hard to imagine how. I can't help but be at least a tad optimistic...

Im not sure if im going to watch this unless more info is given for this
If it turns bad im just not watching it
If it looks cool i will watch it eventually when its on netflix(still have not watched deathly hallows pt 1 or deadly hallows pt 2 but i read the books)
Also as for trusting jk rowling with my fiction i liked the harry potter books but i hated all the movies cause they were a add for hollywoods special effects and a way to give jk rowling extra money
There were so many things wrong with the movies that by the time they finished number four they had forgotten most of the details except the names of characters and major plots(like they forgot about the blast ended skewets the glow worms the puppy like creatures that are good at finding shiny things and thats just what was missing from hagrids care of magic creatures class) they also changed details like making nevile give harry the gilly weed instead of dobby the house elf they changed so much it might have been considered their own new story

The HP fandom has awoken. wahmbulance dramallama I am definitely part of the fandom that has awakened, though I've always kept an eye one potter-related tags. My tumblr exploded the moment "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" was announced.

Ahahaha I suppose it is! ninja Still, it's good there is some chance of new HP content.
To me that's pretty darn exciting... I hope they do a bunch of interesting things with
this story. And besides, Jo wrote so many wonderful characters in the books. I can't
see how she couldn't come up with awesome people in her screenplay, ya know? xd

Ah well I meant my post not the thread since I'm not its creator. xd The whole history of
Dumbledore may still be news to some so I thought I maybe should've had it as a spoiler.
Still, it's info that's been out for like 6 years now so I can't say I'm too worried, ya know?
I can see what you mean about the movies. They left out a TON of information. I don't
think they really got GOOD until movie 5. While it's still missing a lot the overall pacing
of the story is better and the feel in the movies was better conveyed. wink I'd like to think
that since this new movie won't have a book to go from it won't leave fans feeling sad
about parts they wanted included. That gives it a fighting chance with most at least. ninja

Harry Potter has been one of those things that's always dancing around my head; whether
it's in the forefront or background I'm almost always thinking about it a little bit... heart I'm
really interested in the untold stories of the HP universe (especially Dumbledore's past).
I have to say I'm not too big on tumblr as of yet because the system makes me crazy.
Still hypocritically I do enjoy Pinterest. I spend a decent amount of time on tumblr tho.

I have all the books in hard-copy, as well as "Fantastic Beasts" and "Quidditch Through the Ages." As I said, it was my childhood! One of the very good parts of it, of course. I'm very excited to see how they do the newest addition to the movie series, though I'm sure it will impress!

I do not have the Tales of Beedle the Bard, which i also need to get. From what I understand the newest movie is about the search for magical creatures... It would be great if they can incorporate all the creatures we haven't seen in the movies before!
