He snorted. "Must be a b***h for a computer nerd with a porn habit to be stuck without the internet," he observed. Unthinkingly, out of instinct and habit, Taym started nudging the wood into a neater pile with his feet, pushing the stragglers in. "Must be a b***h for half these people to be stuck without the internet, honestly. And a Starbucks," he added disparagingly. "Then again, I'm not really in any position to judge since I'm so desperate for a diversion I volunteered to have the s**t beaten out of me. That seems to be the go-to entertainment around here."

"He actually pretty much ran the Deus-net before everything went down." Bix found what he was looking for, a hammer and a can of white spray paint. He butt-bumped the door shut behind him and began pacing in a laaaarge circle as he worked out how big the assigned area should be. "If stuff ever gets back going, he's the guy to go to if you need to hack your phone or get a runic-modded iPod or tv or something. Obviously at a price. You think this looks big enough?" He'd sprayed some sporadic dots in a huge circled around a few training dummies. "Enough room to fight and stuff?"

He made a mental note to find Mark later. He'd gone through Gale to get DIANA space, but cutting out the middle man in the future might be beneficial. Eyeing the circle, Taym realized how woefully underinformed he was. "Sure," he said, sounding totally unsure. A thought occurred to him. Bix must know. "How do you ranged combat people work this out, anyway? Do you just pistol-whip each other into submission? I mean, I guess--" a hesitation before he dropped the name, because apparently he was still not 100% on board with the named weapons thing, "--Mina's got pointy bits, as you demonstrated." Yeah, thanks for that. "But what about the ones who don't?"

"Dodge.. roll.. shoot each other." Bix was satisfied with the distance. It was reasonable for ranged fighting and also okay for those with behemoth sized weaponry. "Gale and I used to spar all the time and a big portion of it was just shooting at each other back and forth." He grinned. "Alright tie rags around each spike, spray them with that paint there, and then stick them in these dots I'm putting down. We'll use this for the guide for the others too when we get to them." Bix continued in a circle. "But that's part of it, right? Learning your strengths and weaknesses, training for all occurences, and working with your weapon to do more. Mina didn't have blades or pointy bits when I started. She was just a feathery bow. I sort of pushed myself training hand to hand for a while and.. we had a bonding training thing and she changed." He totally did jazz hands at Taym. "Maaagic."

He fell to work obediently, grinning. Having a job and being treated like a human being were doing miracles for his mood. "Does that mean if I do a... 'bonding training thing,'" he parroted, "I can get something better than a knife that doesn't even have a cutting edge?" And something--Fiona's feelings about that, most likely--startled a sudden bark of a laugh out of him. "Not that there's anything wrong with that," he added sarcastically.

Bix finished his circle and then as Taym sprayed the clothes he grabbed pegs to begin putting them into the ground. Mostly he stuck them in a little and then stomped them with his foot the rest of the way. "Well a lot of the weapons have changed. I think I'm the only one who did a uhh.. bankai thing." Taym probably didn't know what bankai was. "But that's cause of Allan. Sun Lead. He's like.." Bix was required to throw his hands up to accurately describe this. " REALLY into anime. So a lot of his missions and trainings end up seeming ripped straight out of anime shows." He smiled apologetically. "I think it's kind of cool actually but most people think he's weird." Bix shrugged. "I'd take 20 Allan's over Caelius anyday." Bix totally had Sun loyalty deep within his kokoro okay.

iloveyouDIE SAME HERE I forgot I owed you a tag :T He worked silently for a long few seconds, contemplating this. His curiosity about Caelius was beginning to creep up on him. Everyone kept mentioning him and Taym suspected he was someone he'd love to hate. Possibly this would end up being true of Allan as well, going on that description. His thoughts abruptly went elsewhere though, triggered by a pang of hunger that was his own damn fault for failing to lower his standards enough to choke down an MRE. "How much in the way of groceries did you lose?" he asked suddenly. "Must be the downside of having your own refrigerator."
