"I think there are some that grow in California, but yeah. Invasive species and what not are very scary.. Back when I lived in Maryland, there was a fish that was brought over from China and abandoned in a local pond. A snakehead fish, I think.. This thing could go about on land to go to the other water ways, and I think it had gotten to the point where it invaded the Potomac River, and the fishermen were rewarded for catching as many of them as they could."
He remembered when they first appeared. They weren't quite what he had expected, then again, he was just a kid, and had imagined them being more along the lines of fish with feet and legs, rather than just flopping around.
"I did alot of fishing back home, and caught maybe.. Three or Four of them. And since they have no natural predators here, they can just destroy whatever they like." Finally happening upon a set that he though fit what is mother's collection was, he gently picked it up, bringing it over to the counter. It was a lovely set, with a motif of carnations and little Artic Redpoll finches. Surely his mother would love these!
"I think I'd like to purchase these ones.. They are perfect.."

"Did they ever get those fish under control? It's unfortunate that it killing is sometimes the only way to save the environment, but at least you could eat the fish." When Isha brought his selection over, Emry checked the tags, then pulled out one of the shop's record books. After finding the entry, he made a couple marks next to it. "It says here that the former owner claimed this set was used by Lillian Gish, but there is no official documentation so it might not be true. Still, it's a story to tell." He then continued to ring up the total and carefully wrap the cups in tissue. "Would you prefer a box or a bag?"

"Unfortunately, no. They still plague the water ways, and it doesn't seem like they can ever be completely eradicated.. There's not too much to do about it..." The nice thing about having a bag on him (It was not a purse! It was a messenger bag!) was that it was easy to have everything in one place. Without any effort, he pulled out his debit card, handing it over to the man.
"Lillian Gish? I think I remember her being really pretty, but that's about it. I never new older films very well. The beauty is in the cups themselves though, so even if there wasn't a story, I'd still leave happy. And a box please."
"If I leave my number here, do you think you could give me a call if there's anything new like these that would come in? I'm also looking for a really nice wood frame mirror as well. Oh, and some vases. I'll be learning about some flower arranging soon, and I think a nice antique vase would be a nice addition to our house."

"You knew she was in films, which is more than most people your age. The only reason I know is because we sold two posters of her last month." Emry swiped the card and handed it back to Isha along with the receipt to sign before placing the wrapped teacups in a small box which said DICED TOMATOES on the side. "We always have vases and mirrors around. Teacups too, but I'll keep my eye out for ones similar to that style. Feel free to come around and browse anytime...when we're open, that is." That last part was said particularly seriously. Whether Emry said it in jest or not was a mystery. "I'll give your request and phone number to the owner. If I don't call you, he will."

"Ah, you say that as if you are terribly old! I doubt you're too much older than me, and I'm at 16. " Stuffing the card and receipt back in his bag, he pulled out his phone, sending a quick text to his driver to pick him up. He figured now that he had bought something, it was a good time to go and head back home.
"Are you not always open? I mean, do you sometimes close down randomly? Or.. Or were you making a joke?" The thought of seeing such a serious face joke just made Isha grin all the wider and chuckle a little.
"I'll be sure to to visit again sometime, whether or not I have a real excuse. Well, no. Seeing you again is a good enough excuse, I think."

"In three years you'll think sixteen looks drastically younger. Trust me, I was there." "We're open Monday through Saturday; nine in the morning to six in the afternoon. We can make special appointments in extreme cases." Emry slid the box of cups across the counter to their new owner. "Thanks again for identifying that flower for me. Enjoy the teacups."

"You really think so? Well, I think there will be one thought that will stick with me atleast. Unless I hit another growth spurt, I shall remain short!" He picked the box of cups up, smiling and giving the other a little nod as he headed towards the door. Vaugely wondering what 'extreme' cases meant, he kept quiet, as though that did not matter right now. It would be nice to come back again and ask him another time.
"Thank YOU for the pleasant conversation! I hope to see you again soon!" And with that, he was gone, heading home to give his mother the gift that he so happily obtained.
Verithe And That's Fin for me! I'd be more than happy to RP with you again!
