It was true that one person probably couldn't speak for the entirety of the Negaverse. But why should anyone have to? Why couldn't this man make his own decisions? He may have belonged to an organization, but he was still his own person with his own ideals. Was he dependent on the Nergaverse for everything, to the point of needing to be told what to think? Could that be a result of corruption?

Irene wasn't sure she wanted to talk to someone higher up, someone who would be more set in their ways. But the name was offered in good faith- so she chose to believe- so she made a note of it. "Benitoite, is it? If I come across him, I will ask him these things." Even if she suspected that she wouldn't like his answers.

"Advice is always useful." She had considered the fact that she could be easily outmatched by approaching someone more powerful, though it was true that she hadn't prepared for anyone as physically powerful as this man. "Your conclusion is sound. But I would rather display my intentions honestly, at the risk of being taken advantage of, than scare off someone I could learn from just to assure my own security."

That, and Irene didn't seriously think that anyone would hurt a person who just wanted to talk. What could anyone possibly gain by attacking her?

Titanlåvenite listened carefully, certain there must be more going on in her mind than came out of her. She seemed like she was probably very thoughtful- she was even willing to talk with enemies. It was sad to have to be enemies with someone thoughtful who plainly just wanted peace.

"Honesty is very good. I would like to put my faith in it, too. Well...maybe we have since we are talking, ja?" He offered an apologetic smile. Just a name and more footwork was disappointing to many. He hated not being able to offer her better answers. "Was there anything else? I am sorry...I may be so helpful after all."

If this man was willing to accept what she said, then this was already a successful encounter. Even if he didn't agree with her, or didn't quite believe her, he seemed to know that she wasn't purposely trying to mislead him. At this point, Irene wasn't even trying to lead him to or from any particular conclusion, except possibly away from the one that ended with them duking it out. All she wanted to do was understand a little better, and to be understood. Then, once that was sorted out, they could decide the best course of action to take.

Though it was slight, she had a glimpse into his mind. She had given him a look into hers. Now she could see how much more needed to be done, for her to really know what she was working with. She had mentally chided this person for following others, but hadn't she been the one to assume that all agents of the Negaverse were the same? That was a mistake she would not be making again, thanks to his instruction.

"You have been most helpful, I assure you. It was a pleasure speaking with you, and I feel I am taking away a great deal from our conversation." It wasn't a conversion, or even a hint that one would be possible, but it was a start. A foundation to her understanding that could be built upon. She curtsied, keeping her head raised as she did- just because they had managed to speak without hurting each other didn't mean she could let her guard down. "Thank you very much for your assistance." After a moment's thought, she added "I am Sailor Irene. I... will keep your words in mind."

Some of them would haunt her long after this conversation had ended.

Lady Irene.... It sound very regular. Not funny or magical at all. He looked pleased to have the honor of her name. "I'm usually called Titan. It is shorter than Titanlåvenite. Please use what is easy for you."

"Thank you, Lady. For your time." He nodded a farewell, not worried that it was a ruse to attack him. If she'd been so troubled by talk of the urban jungle he felt confident his back was safe. The Lieutenant turned, heading away to other roof tops. In fact, he was a bit hungry. Maybe it was a good time to turn in for the night.

If he was going to address her with respect, the least Irene could do was return the favor. "Mister Titan... låvenite." She stumbled over the pronunciation a little, and resolved to practice, in case they met again. "Thank you again. Please, take care."

There was a part of her that worried about letting him go, just like that. This was a man who could easily hurt people if he wanted to, and seemed to think that was what he was supposed to do. But there wasn't much she could do to stop him physically, and that was the wrong answer regardless. Much as it hurt to let someone go on potentially hurting others, it was no worse than her hurting him through lack of understanding.

Nor was it any better. Which meant that she had work to do, to find an answer that was. Irene watched Titanlåvenite head off, only then feeling comfortable enough to leave herself, as the questions her questions had raised kept circulating through her mind.
