Is this related to the 'visions' we're supposed to have on our homeworlds?" Because if it related to something else he was all out of guesses on where that topic was going. "Actually, on the topic of ancient history...did we want to phone scan each other so we can contact each other without playing Marco Polo on a city-wide scale? It woudl be easier for planning out space sojourns and research get-togethers. "

Okay, yeah, this guy needed to come work with her. He knew all sorts of things she couldn't even comment on coherently, and seemed really interested, and that was more than she'd hoped for when she started seeking out senshi to collaborate with. "Next time I go up for more than a couple of hours, you wanna come? See the sights, as it were? Not that there's a lot to see, really. Some people get worlds, I get a building on the edge of nowhere." The Zodiacs needed a better real estate agent, clearly.
She tucked the flower into the small braid behind her ear, and smirked at Thraen's surprise. As jaded and depressed as she was these days, it still gave her some pleasure to shock people when she could. Answering about the Cauldron was harder. All she really knew was that it had reclaimed Eon's starseed in exchange for the Zodiacs' rebirth. A second chance that didn't seem to have done much good. Aries and Sagittarius were dead, others were missing. And then there was her. Could she honestly claim to be worth the sacrifice that their prince had made?
"The Cauldron has to do with rebirth." That much, she felt, could be safely inferred based on what she knew. "It's in charge of who gets reborn, and when, and how. I think." At least, she tended to blame it for her circumstances, based on what had happened with Eon. It occurred to her that her blame might be totally misplaced, but she needed to blame something for her situation, and that was as good a scapegoat as any. "It's related to ancient history in that it took our starseeds then and regurgitated them now, more or less. I mean, you do know that we were alive a thousand years ago... right?"
Aquarius thought that was something all senshi were primed on. At least, the ones she'd spoken to recently seemed quite aware of that fact. All she could do now was pray she hadn't broken this guy's brain, because she really really wanted to use it.
The mention of the phones made her fumble for hers, dropping her pen as she did. With an exaggerated sigh she bent down to pick it up, clipped it back onto her bag, and tucked the notebook away. The phone was rather easier to get, and not for the first time, she wished she could keep her other things in the hammerspace that held her senshi tools. Once she was set, she slid the keyboard out and looked at her rather short contact list. Even if she wasn't interested in working with people, she really needed more connections. More than half of the people on her list hadn't been heard from in months. Though whether that was their fault or her own was hard to say.

But no, I've never had direct information that we are reincarnated souls that were alive any amount of time ago. " He sobered, considering the implications very quickly, if not as in depth as he would prefer. I don't know if I hope I was a guy wearing garlands and cherry petals last time or not. Its sort of gender biased to think I would mind it less as a girl, or that girls should. Hell, Mr. Dhawan and Alex both love plants and gardening. Actually...I do like plants. Wearing them is just...odd. It does break gender norms for occidental society. But would I really rather be wearing a wool and silk black suit and tie? No, not really. Kevlar isn't really gender normative, and it just belongs to soldiers. Thats REALLY what we should all be wearing- body armor. "Its a a shock and not one at the same time. " "It makes research that much more important, if there's more to be gleaned of the how's and why's things are as they are. " Like how you know it is about a thousand years. Carbon date something? He stood still for her to scan him, once she had her phone, pens bag and notebook back to behaving and not jumping away like fish. Then likewise scanned her into his own. "I'll try to get back to Thraen as well, like I said, between now and then. It'd be nice to have found any glyphs, characters or such and made rubbings ahead of time so that they're ready to be studied and added to your collection. And plant samples. " "Do you have a lab set up, or should I look into finding a way to get some equipment? Honestly, I haven't studied much biology or genetics excepting really basic labs with drosophila in AP Bio back in high school. " DivineSaturn No trouble at all~ We can probably work this towards a close with scanning and initial information and invitations shared?

"Then I'll give you a call next time I go to get some work done!" It would be fantastic to have someone who enjoyed the work working with her. Better still to have someone who knew so much. This guy put her to shame, and he hadn't even seen anything yet. So much for her dedication.
Aquarius tapped away at her phone as she spoke. "Huh. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. I don't even know how I know half of what I know. It's all fuzzy, like a movie I saw a long time ago and only remember the gist of the plot and a few random details. But I've talked to senshi who know more about it, so I guess I figured you either knew already, or you'd find out eventually. And if you really want to work on this, it's better to know what you're dealing with, right?"
At least, when it was something innocuous like having a past life. She wasn't about to tell him about how lethal this gig was. After finding such a fantastic resource, the last thing she wanted to do was scare him away.
"There's some equipment up there, yeah. I recognize some of it- microscopes, scales, things like that- but some of it is totally weird. But there's no standardized outlets or anything, so it's not like I can bring a bunch of specialized tools." She shrugged as she crammed her phone into her bag. "I'll think on a solution for next time. This is probably enough for tonight, though." They had been together for a while now, and with two senshi's worth of energy, it was a miracle they hadn't been attacked yet. "Let me know if you find anything interesting, and I'll do the same!"

He nodded in agreement to her assessment that they'd both had a great deal for the night. "I look forward to seeing you again. To sharing research." "All my best wishes for safe travels, " he lifted his phone and tapped it. "I'll listen for your Marco."
