He gave his head a small shake at the questions. "Don't get all excited thinking that just because I've been here longer means that I've 'seen things'. I haven't. I haven't really done anything at all, except train for the day that I'll be needed. And...no, things have not gotten easier, Abbi. Look around you." He glanced upwards towards the unlit lights above, and then down to the fact that he was holding an MRE in his hands and not actual, real food.
As for places to see, he shrugged. "There's the labs, though if you go in there be prepared for a bunch of the Lifers to want to experiment on you. The library is a nice place for some quiet time, and has lots of interesting books to read. The infirmary, if you ever want to get your feet wet with the healing aspect, though to start with the most they'll want you for is changing out bed pans or disposing of dirty bandages...."
He gave his head another shake. "You know what, tomorrow. I can show you around a bit if you want, though I uh...still get lost trying to find my way around." It wasn't something he liked to admit, but if he was going to offer himself up for guided tours it was probably something he should mention.
And then back to the food at hand. Finn had to remind himself that this girl was probably in her teens, possibly not even reaching adult status yet. Why would she know what an MRE is? So he gave her one of his smiles, the one that left his eyes empty and cold.
"It's your dinner. And breakfast. And lunch. Midnight snack? Everything." He brought his package up to his teeth and tore it open, propping Trynt up so that he was leaning against and resting on the front of his shoulder, balanced so that he didn't fall to the floor. He then reached in, pulling out one of the many smaller packages within.
"Baked snack crackers. Delicious~" Was that a hint of sarcasm in his voice? "Cheese flavored. Perfect, my favorite." Yes, that was definitely sarcasm.
"Well, you were hungry, right? Better eat up. Can't let a delicious meal like this go to waste."
