Eve would arrive at her training field after her brief walk from the "Hill" her squad already all gathered on the field and one of them smart enough to have tea set out on a flat rock waiting for Eve. Having been trained for years that when something is amiss gather up and wait for orders. Eve grinned. "Lets have a game shall we?" most of her squad was stunned, Eve's games where one could say unorthodox. "Stab Ball, split up into teams. Shirts v Skins." Eve said taking her seat by her tea. Funny thing as the last one was gender vs Gender, the males ended up put down in record time. Her squad spit up quickly and Eve chuckled remembering the last few times she'd done this game. At least a good fifteen people ended up in squad 4 infirmary. She had gotten in trouble on occassion for these games turning into what felt like full scale warfare, enough reiatsu getting released to shake the entire Seireiti. One such occasion she had been playing along with her squad and no less than 20 of her squad who had no business using kido because of the bad habit of backfiring decided to kamikaze her. That incident did actually injure her and she got in a heap of trouble, but after that she had seke seke rock put into the lining of the walls, if you can seem to find the walls. So its been a few years since the last incident until you walk into squad 4 and see 10-15 squad 9s laid out. Well now that we've had some time to travel Eve's memory lane, let's get back to the now.
"Alright we know the usual rules," As the teams where decided. "Non-vital area targets only. So long as you are conscious you can keep going. Only Binding Bokudo." She poured herself some tea. "Begin." And it was on. Explosions, screaming. laughter and other such sounds accompanying a game could be heard. Eve sipped her tea and grinned as she was not at all safe from being stabbed but not many of the squad dared try it. She would observe and await the arrival of the 6th captain for a much needed discussion.


((OOC: Okay so now I'm sure it would like to be known what "Stab ball" is. It is simply a very violent version of Capture the flag, instead of being tagged you're stabbed.))

Eve would observe the game of stab ball from her position atop the small hill and sipped at her tea. She let a smile touch her lips at the arrival of the 6th captain, ignoring the joint pops and the stick. "Come my dear," Eve said pouring another cup of tea for Akane. "Have a seat and enjoy a cup of tea." She had to momentarily move the pot and cups as at that instant one of her squad members was blown right onto where the tea was sitting. Eve looked at him, and then kicked him back into the game before setting the tea back on its spot and set the 2nd cup up for Akane to enjoy. She'd then sip her own cup and watch the game for a few more minutes. Even if Akane accepted the tea and sat down it did not matter as Eve would ask her this question: "Tell me what is your price for a mile?"

As Eve had expected the child was unsure of what was meant by her question but rather than get into that matter she answered the question on what kind of tea they where drinking first. "Why its a lovely breakfast tea." her thick Irish accent ringing through as she took another sip of her tea. Irish breakfast tea was simply a very strong black tea with some creamer and sugar often stronger than coffee and a lot smoother to drink.

"What I mean by your price of a mile is simple what are you willing to pay to gain the upper hand over your enemies?" Eve's voice turned serious. "Are you willing to pay in sacrificing countless lives?" She'd sweep her hand in a gesturing motion toward her squad playing it's game a few down for the count. "Or are you willing to sacrifice a small bit of pride and take the information offered by a defector?" Eve's intentions where to show the girl how best to be wise when it comes to battle. Eve had lived through quite a few and in truth violent though she was, she'd take what she could in order to stall the fighting or avoid it all together. "It may seem like a simple answer but think on it before answering. I've lived long enough to see hate and revenge destroy comrades and enemies alike. It turns friend against friend more often than not. Hate can be blind to reason."

Eve couldn't fault the girl's logic and she had a point. "In all honesty I don't trust him, but the idea of him lying is no reason to hate him. Should your concern become true and my feelings on the matter would be simply a matter of oh well because it would put us back to where we started." Eve took a sip of her tea and on the process was forced to punch and kick one or two of her squad members back to the game of stab ball they wanted to drag her into. "If you think about it and I'm sure you've read the reports each katena is powerful enough to take on a captain at even footing. If he does yield false information to us then we have something a lot better than nothing." Eve had spent many years on a battle field. "And I'm sure both the captains he was placed in care of would already be devising ways to get to the truth." She was going to leave out that Xamthose had struck her as on of conscience rather than the type to go through such a scheme.

Eve could tell the girl was not going to be deterred from her one track thought process so she decided to change tactics. "Ya know," as she kicks another one of her squad members back to the stab ball game it seems the skins team was losing. "The head captain did not say you couldn't keep a watchful eye on him. You could set a few of your squad members or even you yourself could be following him. After all isn't it you who is in charge of the security of the Seιreιтeι?" Eve was attempting to play into Akane's fear. "If you feel something is off doesn't it mean keep a closer eye on it?" She'd take a sip of her tea to let the girl think about what she just said.

Eve chuckled a little. "It's not necessarily sad if you look at it as an extra precaution not that you're looking to find him guilty. If I where in your place I would at the very least keep in contact with Captain Shinari and Captain Hiabara as to his movements so you're aware of where he is at." She took the last of her tea and offered to pour Akane another cup before herself. "And on knowing our names it is a polite thing if you think about it. We all where standing there he wanted to know the names to match the faces of those he was potentially going to have some kind of contact with." She wondered if she at some point helped Akane feel at some what at ease with Xamthos being around. "I must ask though, why such that raging powerful hateful energy during the encounter?" Eve didn't quite understand how one without knowing another could have the capacity to hate the other. Hate like that can only lead down the wrong path.

Eve sighed as the girl walked away, it seemed only experience would get through to Akane. She then turns her attention to the now finished game of stab and sends half the skins team to squad 4 and the shirts team visit the zen garden for the healing springs. After the training field had pretty much been cleared Eve climbed up onto a flat rock and sat indian style pulling her sword across her lap. She then closed her eyes and entered her inner world to have a nice little chat with her sword spirit. She'd more than likely stay like this until she either got a craving for a banana split or someone came to talk to her.
