Ahahaha.
Nah, you're fine. It's the rest of Gaia, really.

Ah, really?

I'm only in two roleplays right now (including this one) so my focus is pretty good, I suppose. What's got your mind a'flutter?

Generally trying to convince myself that I need to be at least a little productive today.
It's not going so well.

And I'm trying to will some other people to post in other RPs.
That's also not going well.

Productive in what sense? You technically got out a post on the roleplay, and that's better than anyone else, so far. No need to add pressure. Plus, we only need seven more people, and for numbers, that's not to bad. Some else will come along. Probably.

Oh, I meant productive in an RL-sense. Aha.
I need to do laundry and dishes.

But the post thing is a good point.
I'd feel better about the numbers if I didn't know how guilds usually end up, but I'm willing to give this a run for its money. There's several people all posting in the OOC during the day, so that's reassuring.

Honestly, I can probably run this to completion without the full cast. I few more would make it easier, but we don't really need all ten.
So that's also a boon.

Well, at least laundry is easy to do and you can do other stuff while you're waiting. Unless you wash by hand, but somehow I doubt that.

Do guilds not generally work out? I used to go on Gaia a lot back when it was relatively new, but I stop going on because I had to focus on my last years of high school, but now I'm in college, so I haven't spent much time in guilds.

I'm tempted to wash it by hand, actually, els eI get hard water stains.
But I'm also not in the mood for all that, so dishwasher is really more likely.

It's hard to get them stable anymore. Most RPers are out in Barton these days and guilds have a reputation for folding, so a lot of people don't join.
Honestly, this is the first guild I've joined in years, so I'm sort of playing it by ear.

From what I remember it was very hard to get a roleplay to keep rollin' along in the first place. I'd be amazed to find a roleplay where someone didn't drop out or stop posting, and actually went to the end. Albeit, most of the roleplays I was in were either disorganized or from some sort of anime.

That's actually still true.
I might even be inclined to say that it's gotten worse over the years.
Most RPs don't survive, no matter where they are.

That's pretty sad, but truthfully I understand. People go in thinking that they're going to take it to the end, but most people haven't even experienced ending a roleplay on good terms. It doesn't help that they don't really have any incentives to keep them going, as they don't actually see the people they're talking/responding to. I enjoy roleplaying a lot, but I like playing Dungeons & Dragons more, as it becomes a social outing where you can meet with a group of people and be comfortable. Unfourtunately, I moved from my hometown to the next province over (I used to live in British Columbia, now I live in Alberta) so that I could go to college, so I don't get to really play anymore.

Yeah.
The longest-running RPs I've been in (and am still in because they're still running, I suppose) are the ones where we're all facebook friends now and several of us have exchanged phone numbers.
I think bridging that gap between 'internet people' and 'real friends' is a major help in keeping things alive.

I'm sure you'll fine a new group! I just got back to my college town and am back to hanging out at my local card shop every Friday. It's a good time.

I'm not particularly good with people in real life. For some odd reason I find myself very comfortable on the internet, though. People in real life kind of freak me out, because they generally aren't as open as people on the internet are (or what seems to be 'open', you never really know).

Also fair.
Real life is hard, I's much rather just be here all day.

Oh, hey, I think I finished my post.
Sweet.
