It was easy to laugh with Nevada, the sound of her voice light and girlish and sweet. She reminded him of his sister in ways, in at least, of her kindness and her smile. He very much liked spending time with her. “Well, if you’re offering,” he teased, hoisting the bucket a bit beneath his arm. He nodded at her, watching her a bit curiously. “Alaska is your sister, I take it?” he asked, thinking the name sounded familiar for some strange reason. It wasn’t the most common of names, after all, but he couldn’t place where he’d heard it. “Where did she manage to find her freedom?” “And well, my dad was something, that's for sure. But you’re right, we’re not cooped up anymore,” Shiloh said, smiling at her. Like Nevada, he wasn’t about to dampen either. Besides, they’d almost reached the field, the rows of corn still short and growing, but they were growing nonetheless. He had high hopes for their flowers.

"Gasp, Shiloh." Nevada covered her heart, "If I wasn't so enamored with myself, I would." She teased and shook her head. "I don't think the Islands a good place for Marriage." She was half teasing this time around.
"Alaska is my twin!" She chirped, balancing the bucket in front of her, "Grumpier, albeit. She's a sun hunter." She looked over to Shy, "She took it. Ran away from home with a boy, then somehow found herself on the Island. I only came because one of the recruiters said he had a girl that looked exactly like me come here." An odd twist of fate...but it usually never took twins long to find each other.
"Ah!" She looked at some of the corn stalks and then over to the more plain ground. "How do we know a good spot to put these??"

Shiloh shook his head, agreeing with her. “Yeah, I don’t think Deus is exactly a romantic island getaway. Keep it in mind though, if we’re ever on leave, you’d better woo me with steak,” he said playfully, smiling warmly. He was teasing of course, but there were definitely worse things he could end up doing than marrying a pretty woman like her, even if that was not where his interests lay. It was fun to joke around; it felt good to have someone who joked back. A friend. He walked over to an unplanted patch of soil; it had been turned up recently, and would make planting easier. He was sure Nevada wasn’t looking to get all sweaty and covered and dirt, not with her nice white dress. “Here will be fine,” he said, gesturing at the ground. He knelt down, placing the bucket beside him. “Make sure to dig a hole big enough to fit all the roots in, it’s gotta be deep enough that they don’t get disturbed.” “And sister huh? Not even just sister, twin, that’s pretty cool! Are you guys alike? Well, besides the grumpiness, of course. You must care about her a lot, to have followed here here.”

"So date with steak, I'll book it in my calender for when we are free." She winked..then forgot it was her bandage covering her face and rolled her eye. "Damn being one eyed Shy, don't ever lose an eye." She warned.
She followed him over, putting the bucket down and neatly lowered herself to the ground. Reaching in the bucket, she pulled out the small shovel and did as he said, digging a small hole.
Regardless of his care to make sure she didn't dirty her dress....she did so anyways, accidentally spilling dirt on her lap and brushing it off. Unlike his thoughts, she knew where she was. This was Deus ex Machina Island...her clothes wouldn't last long clean or whole long anyways.
Once the hole was finished, she took out one of the flowers, gently put it in and then shoved dirt gently back around it and patted it down.
"Alike in looks, or we use to be. She's changed her looks dramatically enough that you can't tell we were identical." She looked up and smiled, "She's half of my soul. I can't survive without her."
