Chester nodded and took back the juggling items, putting them back in their rightful place. He was a very neat and organized person, and that did not lack in small or large details. He kept things neat, unless he was out of his normal state of mind.
Lately, with the chaos that came with suddenly fighting a secret war, he had been a bit of a mess. He was living in his little office/house here on the carnival grounds and he had no idea when he might return to his actual home. If he would. In any case, he had his office in a messy state that was not really fitting to his character, but he didn't really mind. A little bit of mess where he lived almost made him feel more comfortable, when he was so controlling in every other aspect of his life.
He looked at the young man and offered him a small smile. It meant a lot for him to be offering even that, as for him a small smile was likely akin to a large one from someone else. It was certainly the same amount of effort, and he meant it as much as anyone else might, even if it took him more effort and energy to show it.
"Do you want to? There are different shapes to juggle, but if you know the basics you can translate it easily enough. I think we'll not skip to blades or fire just yet."
Or blades on fire. That was advanced class.

What a warm and charming smile.. Isha could not stop himself from smiling back, looking away for a moment. He honestly did not believe the man would smile at him at all, but as he did, the whole tent around them seemed to become so much lighter.. If that even made any sense. Perhaps not, but no one really heard himself besides himself anyway.
"I would like to! But yes, I do agree we should take our time! I wouldn't want to singe my hair off.. Or my eyebrows.. Or anything in the immediate vicinity, for that matter. Yes, I'd much rather remain in one peace as well. Ooh, do tell me, what is the biggest thing you can juggle? Like.. Size wise, not weight!"

"I'd prefer you not burn down my tents, either, so it's good we're on the same page," he said blandly, but it was clearly supposed to be a joke. He had bad timing and delivery, but he was trying, it seemed, and that was what counted. Or so he had always been told, by those patient enough to see through his bland tone and disinterested expression.
He did look thoughtful at the question, looking at the box of juggle-able objects, though obviously the answer was not in it. It was not that big a box. He had to think back a long way, to when he was much younger and doing shows all on his own, before he thought up the idea of a carnival or circus.
A young man just doing what he loved to do.
It was a nice memory but he didn't linger too long on it. He shook his head.
"I never did any of the really dangerous stuff. The chainsaws on fire, or whatever it is people do now. I did juggle some machetes. They were long... maybe not the largest thing I've juggled but I can't remember anything bigger at the moment." Apparently tree cutting knives did not register as dangerous in the same way that chainsaws, on fire or not, did. In Chester's book, anyway.

"I'll do my best. I have yet to see a grand show here, so I'd want to keep it save and protected til then and beyond!" The last time he had been here there was the whole ordeal with all the youmas and what not.. Nope, nope, he wasn't going to think too much on that.
"Machetes are plenty Dangerous! Oh goodness.. I bet some of them were longer than my arm! That's amazing! But I think I'll stick with balls. Or cubes. Ooh, you know what I think would be impressive? Juggling Rubik cubes, and solving them at the same time. That would be some pretty quick finger working, don't you think?"

Chester nodded his head patiently, still looking slightly amused, which was a vast difference to his normal lack of any expression at all. He smiled and tried to imagine someone being able to do what the younger man described, and it sounded like an interesting trick.
"You learn how to do that, and you can come back here for a job," he said smoothly, and then he smiled.
"I hope you learned enough here, you can come back any time. I don't think I can do much with Rubik cubes, beyond the juggling part, but... well." He would help if he could, and he liked kids with goals. That was what had fueled him for so long, after all, and what had kept him so focused through his life. Sure, things changed and things shifted, but at least making goals gave someone purpose, immediately or in the long term.
It was a good skill to have.

"A job, huh? That sounds awesome! I still don't know what to do with my life, but when I get old enough, maybe I will. Test out the fun, hard working life in a place like this. But I'm certainly planning on working on that trick. First thing to do... Figure out how to solve a Rubik Cube, along with getting better at juggling. Then solving one while tossing it, then two, then three. I give myself.. Say.. A year or so, before I can master such a thing!" Already in his mind he was plotting to stop by a place to buy a few.. Where do you even go to buy such things in the first place?
"I think I will plan on coming back, whenever I can! I hope you remember me, and maybe give my phone a little ring when your first show goes back up! I know I'm not anyone special, but I'd love to be one of the first to know."

Chester watched the young man and nodded his head. He was glad to hear the enthusiasm that he carried with him, and almost believed that he would be able to master such a complicated trick in a year. Why not? If he tried and wanted to, then he would be able to accomplish anything.
That was the way things went, or so it was nicest to believe. That good things were earned through hard work, and that was its own kind of reward. He had to believe in that ideal, because it was what fueled his resolve to rebuild the carnival, as much as it did his need to destroy the Negaverse.
"Leave me your number and I'll give you a call before we're open. I'll send you tickets." He nodded his head leisurely, feeling relaxed and content.
This had been a nice distraction, at the end of the day, and that was something he needed more of these days. Things that kept his mind off his anger and sorrow.
"It was nice having you here."

"This is so Exciting! I just can't wait to see the carnival back in action! It'll be great, I just know it!" As he spoke, he rummaged around in his pocket, pulling out his wallet, then a business card with his cellphone number on it. Okay, it wasn't a business card, it was more like a card with his number and a bunch of silly words and pictures, labeled "Friendship card!"
"Don't mind the pictures! It was a free thing from that one radio thing, Pandora. And it's easier than always fumbling for a piece of paper, right?" There were too many times he remembered fighting through a junky backpack trying to find a clean scrap of paper or a pencil. Cards just made life a whole lot easier, for him anyway.
"It was fantastic being here! Thanks to you, I can cross this off of my list. Granted, I'm not a master, but it's the idea of learning the basics. I'm not going to stop, though! Just watch, the next time I see you, I'll be juggling like a pro. Okay, maybe not a pro, but I'll get to six balls alteast!"

Chester looked at the card he was handed in wonder. Friendship card? He was not sure he knew what that was, but it looked close enough to a business card to count for his Rolodex on his desk. He was not too fussed about it, but then, he was not too fussed about much at all.
"This works," he said, nodding his head in approval. It was enough to get him the tickets for the opening, anyway, and a few of his friends if he wanted. Chester didn't mind handing out tickets, as he assumed no one would come after what happened last time.
But who knew. He would just have to make sure it was as safe as possible.
"You're welcome. I'm glad to have helped." He nodded his head, collecting his box of things and motioning toward the exit. He could walk the young man out, and see him off. That was the polite thing to do, anyway, and Chester, though stoic, tried to be polite when he needed to be.
"I look forward to seeing your progress in the future. You're welcome to come back here and show me. Have a good rest of your day."

"I'm glad I got the chance to work with you. We could go back and forth all day, thanking one another, and saying we're glad, but I don't think we'd get anywhere fast." His phone was in his hand now, sending his driver a text. It wouldn't be too long until the gentleman came to pick him up, so for now, he followed Chester out of the tent, giving one last wide glance about the big top.
"You'll be impressed, I'm certain! And I hope the rest of your life is amazing and that the stars shine until the end of you journey!" Hehe.. Video game quotes were the best departing lines. Atleast to Isha.
