Amrita observed the bewildered girl with a quiet sort of study, and by the time the ghoul had sighed a smile had grown on the Patchwork's lips. This was a game, merely a means to a desired end, and she would play it to the end.
"You forgot? Poor thing." She murmured, sounding as sincere as she could; it was a shame to misplace something, so she at least had something to work from. "Don't worry, I can help you, if you would like." Well, that wasn't true; she knew a lot of it, but more importantly she knew where the roster was, and Shehk had a very unique first name at the very least.
Her gaze shifted to observe Sparrow. First Day? But wasn't this the Sparrow that had challenged her for the Vice President seat? Hm. Well, if he forgot it meant he wouldn't challenge her again; it was win-win in her opinion, and she could play the kind one for a little longer. "Is it? How exciting for you. Welcome to Amity." A hand extended, though it received a small, brief glare for not being clawed like she wanted.
"My name is Amrita, and on behalf of Student Council, welcome." Her warm smile faded as she glanced to the side, spotting her King and the Robed figure, the shock enough to make her eye widen.

Olivia stared up at the big black and orange sign looming overhead upon the gates of the school.
Things were muddled, having to clear and settle in her mind - a few things seemed a miss... - but the words spoke true. They were back and she wore a smile on her face like always. Because back meant with everyone she knew and could meet. New friends and old.
Speaking of. Olivia's glowing blue gaze fell from the sign and those iron fences, scanning the crowd that had already gathered about. Those immediately familiar hadn't seemed to make their existence known yet, so for now she settled on observing those she had yet to be introduced to.
- - - - - - - - -
Maple too was there, keeping quietly to herself for the time being as she regathered her thoughts from the journey they had taken. It felt strange, something seemed a miss and the mousey ghoul couldn't put her finger on it.
It was like she had forgotten something and she had no idea what, to the point she began nibbling on her lower lip. She was a little worried, then again when wasn't she? Did the others feel like that?
And who was that guy over there?

"Pardon the abruptness," the staff glows a little dimmer before the glow fades entirely and the figure looks quite disappointed, "I was actually expecting someone else." The tone is heavily sardonic, and the pause afterwards long and awkward. They gesture towards the gate. "Well, are you going to invite me inside?"

Hel glanced over at Shun, then at Aymet and Mort as they approached the being by the gate, and her brows furrowed as she listened.
“…Well, guy!” She called out, and then snorted, a bit incredulous at the thought that someone needed to be invited in. “You have legs. You can walk yourself in, ya?”

Shehk smiled, preening at Sparrow's very charming way of introducing himself. "Well, it's quite the pleasure to meet you, Sparrow." she bowed her head slightly towards him. Charming fellow, she had to say. "It is the first day for both of us, perhaps we'll be keeping in touch then."
Looking to Amrita, Shehk smiled enough to show her teeth. "Unfortunately it seems so. Funny how you can still find a way to forget things when you don't really have that much to forget to begin with." she pressed one finger into her cheek thoughtfully as she contemplated the mechanics of such a task. Maybe she had a secret skill in forgetting things - could one make a living off of that? Probably not.
"Well, Amrita, I'll be putting myself in your hands then." Shehk shook the offered hand, cupping the other one over it and giving a firm squeeze before she looked towards the gate, following the Vetala's gaze curiously.
"Hmm. Is he someone we should know?"

She was a little stunned by Hel's greeting, but then the ghoul laughed, wrapping her arms tightly around the reaper. "I'm so glad to see that you're okay!" She shot a grin at Shun over the ghoul's shoulder, only to perk up and draw back slightly at Hel's question. Who was she talking abou--
--...Eh? Staring at the figure outside of the gates, the ghoul cocked her head to the side, lips tugging into a small frown. That...was a good question--who was that person? Certainly not someone she was familiar with...
And they wanted to be nvited in? Xiu shook her head slowly, looking puzzled. "Uh...the gate's open?"

"That depends on who you are. Do you have business with the school?" Shun asked in a neutral tone. Though, Xiu did present a... good point.

"Uh--" It was a little distracting. He'd seen that staff before. They all had.He continued to stand there and stare as the others piped up. After so much time spent out of body, he was still a little slow getting used to his bones again, and his (mostly) complete mind. Maybe it would just be chalked up to the slowness of undead. Maybe it was merely the last hesitation he could make. His instincts quickly took over, strong, decisive, unafraid. He could never allow himself to be mired by doubt. "and as long as there is doubt in this world, there will be Revenge."There would always be a part of him that resonated with. Just as there would always be a part of him that would wonder if maybe they had made the wrong decision all along before their... return. And here the second chance came knocking at their gate. "Oh! Sorry about that." He dutifully ignored the small protests - they simply misunderstood. Aymet pulled the gate open entirely and stood aside, chiming in with his Vice President. He flashed as sincere a smile as an undead was able, a mouth full of teeth set in a mouth with no gums, long and sharp. "Welcome to Amityville!"

Diana blinked up at the gate and sighed. She was back, and happy at that she guessed. However it was an interesting ride to get to this point. Looking around she sees a few of those that had helped her during her 'trip' as well as some she had never met to this point. Cocking her head to the side, her tail twitches back and forth as she moves to be with the growing group of students. She saw the odd staff in the figure's hands. She was sure that she had seen that staff before. Shaking her head she listens to the others question the figure. Then she looks to the one who had opened the gate and welcomed the figure. Surely he knew to know who one was inviting it before doing so?

Olivia, being the naturally curious, inched her way a little closer to see what was going on. There apparently was someone new entering the school grounds, asking very politely for an invitation to boot.
- - - - -
Maple on the other hand, was staying where she was but watched; safer distance and all. But the more she stood there, the more a few memories resurfaced or at least fought a little more. A Kingdom of Black, like in her dream (and recalled when they were called to arms) and the Student Council President.... and... more....

"I'm sure it's more common than you think." Amrita offered, hoping to ease Shehk's mind. On the subject of her memories in particular she said nothing further, at least for now. Her mind was already whirling with potential, but for now she had to play nice to set a base on which to build.
"In the mean time, I would be happy to give you both a tour before showing you to your dorms." She offered to the 'new' students, who were not at all new to her, with a smile.
"Mmm...Yes, I believe he is." He certainly had an air to him, she could pick up that much. The rest was merely speculation and the Shadowlord at least seemed interested in him. Excited, almost. "The one in the armor is your Student Council President." Amrita explained carefully, being careful to play the game of Kings High instead of the truth. Actually, the more she observed his actions, the more she felt something was off about him. Had he forgotten who he was, like Shehk and Sparrow? Amrita certainly hoped not, and made a resolve to find out and correct any issues that arose.
Still, Aymet was at her side and she offered him a smile before turning to the figure with the staff, offering a slight bow. In the process she noticed Maple, and offered the familiar ghoul a very sincere smile.

"I guess that will suffice." They paused, one hand now on the gates.
"Of course, where are my manners." Disdain, but the figure curtly nodded his head, which was probably as close to being polite as they were going to get. "I am Professor Myridden Emrys, Professor Emerys is fine. I was simply testing the integrity of this fine generation of young minds."
And then it became clear. How did the students forget? Of course.
Professor Emerys was a Professor in Amityville Academy. Without a doubt, he had always been there, and the students knew this. An elusive presence, it made sense that they would have forgotten about him until now.
There was never any doubt that he had been anyone else.
"Now, I believe-" he stepped through the gates, and his figure regained full form, a stern-looking Professor, holding a book. Not a staff, not black robes, just an Amityville Professor- "We have classes starting tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you there. As long as there are those who seek ... knowledge." He gave some of the students a longer look before turning around.
As he continued walking, before stepping into Amityville itself, several students nodded to him, acknowledging him. Professor Emerys. Of course.
The memory of the staff was entirely forgotten. No, not forgotten. Distorted.
OOC The memory of who the figure might have been and what the staff might have been has been entirely rewritten. All students remember is that of course it was their returning school professor. And then the memory of why he was even there, waiting at the gates for an invite, was swept away too. He had always been there for them as a Professor of course.

She hadn't even spoken to him, yet she felt herself jump a little and utter an apology under her breath. Maple felt horrible for not recognizing him as a professor, then again she had only been here for so many Octobers to know them all. Was she enrolled in one of his courses? Perhaps, maybe. Urg, now she was feeling more terrible.
Which wasn't the best expression to meet up with Amrita's nice greeting smile. Maple blinked, once again feeling that familiar feeling she had when the other ghoul grabbed her hand at Prom to pull her into a dance with Christof. Well, at least she remembered her in one sense. Maple smiled back meekly.

Alex was there, and as a member of the student council as well (though he couldn't remember ever having gotten voted on, so he really wasn't sure how he was on the student council, just that he was), he hovered nearby with Mort, slouching somewhere behind him, still feeling mildly disoriented but with a head that was steadily clearing up more and more by the second. He offered no words to the stranger outside of the gate, especially since so many others seemed to have it under control, but watched him instead with a since of wariness. And then that was all wiped away, and he gave the professor an easy smile as he swept inside an passed. Classes tomorrow! Jack, it was good to hear something like that again. He was glad they were out of that odd world from before, and back here, back at Amityville. Back home. "So, bro. How are you feeling?" He asked Mort, conversationally, with a large grin plastered across his face, and then towards Aymet. "Hey prez, you too. You doing okay?" His expression, while happy enough, couldn't hide the hints of concern laced in his voice.

Shun blinked. Ah. Yes. That's right. This was just one of the professors. With everything that was happening, he supposed his mind had gone a little hazy and he had forgotten there. He didn't apologize though. He didn't feel the need to, really.
He just shrugged and stepped aside.
