Sirius raised her eyebrows at his comment on Albali, then shock her head. It was a strange moment though, she couldn't even remember what Albali's power was! Maybe he was right and the negaverse could use her. However his answer was interesting. "Would you not have just been a victim of the negaverse though? They were the ones killing everyone..." So how was he safe? Maybe the senshi were pretty useless if people believed themselves to be safer with the negaverse. However he seemed happy and the negaverse seemed somewhat more complicated then she remembered it being. However she did then catch on to what he was doing. "You know how to talk don't you? What makes you think that the negaverse would want me anyway? They may have agreed to work with Ares but the main offenders of what happened? They are DMC not negaverse, and I bet Ares wasn't welcomed with open arms by some! What makes you think I have more of a place there then here?" He had a good heart, she would give him that. He honestly believed what he was doing to be right.

"Trust me, you have no argument there," Buddingtonite said, and while what he said may have been deemed treacherous, he couldn't deny the truth. "There's plenty of bloodthirsty generals and captains in our ranks, some of which I'd never wish to get on their bad side. Hence why I'm here, a Negaverse officer and not a Knight. Joining with them would not only put me in direct line of fire for the likes of Painite, but who would protect me? We've seen how well these Senshi protect regular civilians. What makes you think they can protect each other?"
He had to admit that it was a twisted logic, and a flawed one at that, but he felt it was too late to back out now. Doing so would then label him a traitor, and that had to be far worse than having been awakened on the wrong side to begin with, right? The Negaverse had no tolerence for full blown traitors. Even someone as lofty and foolhardy as him suspected that.
He took her statement as a compliment for sort, anything to swell his own ego. He didn't want to push the envelope too hard and risk pushing her away entirely, but he wanted her to be aware that there were alternatives. "Well, for starters they welcomed me, and I have about the worst fighting technique ever, at least I'd like to think so. They've allowed Albali in, when her precious Ares abandoned her time and time again. The Negaverse has changed and while there may be some that can't overlook who Ares was and where her Court began, the fact of the matter is that we're willing to put that bit of business behind us as a whole. We acknowledge it happened, and we move on. The reason for the Negaverse and Court's split has nothing to do with their past, but merely what's happening in the present. I'm certain that we would be willing to accept you, regardless of who you once were, instead of allowing you to waste away into nothing within a withered Court that has no Queen or real guidance.
"But, in the end, it's up to you. I cannot even think to force you, just give a strong recommendation," Buddingtonite said, fiddling with his rose for a brief moment before focusing his crimson gaze on her. "We're not the Negaverse we used to be, and I think that once you give it some time, you might find my offer will suit you."

Sirius had a hard time believing that but then maybe he was right. Maybe they had changed and it was the senshi always initiating the fights? There could be many options but in truth she had no idea what to believe anymore. He was honest, he said there were those who wanted to fight but then there was then him. "Yet being with the negaverse you are in direct fire of us. I could have killed you today." A little presumptuous maybe but it was still true. It didn't matter what side you were on someone wanted to kill you and if you weren't on a side, then you would probably still end up dead. This city was messed up. "You are oddly calm about this." She looked at him suspiciously, he was right, the negaverse clearly wasn't what it once was, they did have Albali and they had worked with Ares. "Would you swap sides? In my position if you were not associated and knew what you did about the negaverse and instead had been taught to hate and kill them?" She was curious to what his reaction would be. She was impressed he was giving her a choice and not in any way trying to force her hand though she was suddenly expecting someone to come out of nowhere and corrupt her on the spot.

The captain considered her words and gave a shrug, "Yes, well... you didn't, now did you?"
It wasn't that he meant to sound like he was belittling her, and given her past alignment with the Blood Moon Court, he knew she was likely fully capable of it. Mocking or teasing her would be like dangling a piece of bacon just beyond a mad dog's range and who knew how strong that leash was. After so long of neglect, it may have been rusty and all that was needed to cause it to snap was one wrong word, and Buddingtonite wasn't quite sure he wanted a taste of this one's bite.
"But, yes, I am aware of that. More so now than I was back when I made the decision, but still, as horrible as things might have been when Ares and the rest of her court ran amok, I still feel much safer, at the Negaverse's back, then facing them as a vanguard," Buddingtonite said, looking around though not overly worried of someone from either side barging in, as he was certain that both of them would have felt it by now. When she commented on his calm, he flashed her a crooked, but genuine smile, as he explained. "I do my best to keep a cool head on my shoulders, otherwise what good would that do me? Certainly has benefited me in the long run and I think I'll stick with that tactic, so long as it keeps me alive and well."
Of course, she hadn't seen him at his worse, but as far as he was concerned, she couldn't provide any proof, so why admit to it? Her question would not go unanswered, even though he had crossed his arms and took a little longer than he would have liked to answer. "No. At least not initially. Otherwise, you'd be a fool, and given that you've already demonstrated that you have a brain in that head of yours, pretty head might I add, I'd hate for you to shoot yourself in the foot. I merely ask that you think it over."
It would mean walking away without a recruit, without a name to his resume, but this was how it had to be for now. And Buddingtonite was willing to accept this, even when a part of him screamed otherwise.

Sirius raised her eyebrows slightly at his response but just nodded. He was right, she had just sat and talked. However what he then said also seemed to be a fair comment. Actually the most dangerous were the negaverse, they were organised and had a purpose, a leader or two. Yes they weren't an enemy anyone would want if they had the choice. Yet if she thought about it, if her side, the senshi and knights bothered to get their act together they would win this war hands down, just due to sheer numbers. They were however completely disorganised and so were a failure. They were loosing. The pause before he answered her question and then the answer it self surprised and impressed her. "I will think about it." She meant it as well. He had given her a lot to think about really and she wasn't sure it had really helped her find her inner self but she was learning and had learnt things she had not previously known. This was the first agent of the negaverse that she had actually listened too since the op that had gone so wrong. Here though she was already in the right frame of mind to listen to what was being said.

Such dealings in the past, with senshi or knights of less aggressive history to their backing, had usually ended poorly and part of Buddingtonite feared that he would have to consider an alternate means of escape, and yet, it did not come to pass. Which was just fine with him, and his smile was one of approval, and relief. "That's all I ask. You'd be surprised just how stubborn some people can be, and that's not just a jab at your Court. There's a few on my side that I could talk to until I'm blue in the face and all air has been expelled from my lungs and they still wouldn't hear a damn word I'd say."
He gave a languish stretch, not meaning to appear rude but feeling a tad bit anxious, more so than he wanted to admit right now. Though, he was no where near as antsy as he was when he first encountered her, so it was definitely an improvement. Maybe these Senshi could be reasoned with after all...
"So, was there anything else we wished to discuss while I was here, or would it be fair to consider this enlightening encounter a wrap?" Buddingtonite asked, not trying to appear that he wanted to just make a run for it, though the notion crossed his mind a few times earlier. Now, he was interested in learning more about her Court, about Ares, but he wasn't quite sure what else he needed to know or if it was possible to extract anymore out of her this evening. He didn't want to appear too greedy. "After all, talking is what I do best."

It was clear this meeting was reaching it's conclusion and so Sirius stood up. There was no real reason to, other then she felt a little safer but she couldn't feel any other energies about so she seemed safe enough. She still couldn't quite believe that she had spoken to a negaverse agent and there had been no name calling, or fighting or anything negative. The whole meeting had been completely civil and that didn't make any sense to her. She listened to his words and just nodded, she could understand that, she had been one of those that would never have listened and maybe if she hadn't been in the state she was in now she still wouldn't have. He had however given her information that she was glad to receive. "I do not think there is anything else to discuss..." Though even ending this encounter like this seemed out of place and strange. Shouldn't she at least hit him? Instead she moved to walk away, maybe again a bad move but there was part of her that trusted him not to attack. He seemed genuine and that was something she hadn't expected.

At her words, Buddingtonite gave a solemn nod, keeping any sign of mockery or even a smile from his face to show to her just how serious he was. "Very well. It's been a pleasure, and should you ever have a need to talk to me again, you can probably find me around the business district. The name's Buddingtonite."
He had realized that he didn't get her name, but he wasn't too worried about that just yet. If she wished to indulge him on that information, she had done so, and if the two had met again in the future, he'd get her name then. There was also the matter of seeking out his fellow officers for her name and see if it run a bell, so in truth, he wasn't offended nor concerned to be leaving this experience without her name. The information and hope she provided him was more than enough for now.
He watched her turn and while it might have been easy to strike at her back, Buddingtonite found it relatively easy to restraint himself. Others might have jumped at the chance, and in doing so, they would have ruined whatever groundwork he may have laid out for her. As eager as Buddingtonite was to have a name to his resume, he wasn't willing to screw up a prime opportunity, so, in turn, he turned away and left, not once summoning his weapon or striking her exposed back. Before she had the chance to jump on the opportunity, though, he resorted to teleporting away. While he thought himself to be a very trustworthy fellow, he wasn't willing to consider the senshi to be just yet...
Hypocritical, perhaps, but he wasn't willing to take that chance...
