"Well I'm from scotland, nice place, you should visit sometime. Especially when it's summer, well autumn's nice as well. Where are you from? "
On the meantime, the meister was finding himself in a difficult predicament. Misty was accepting Mathew's wavelength with awful ease. He needed to ambush them and retrieve his weapon before the bond was stronger. The meister followed quietly within the buildings, being careful to be out of their sights. but he was also worried about the witch which haunted theses lands. She was the one who broke the communication systems thus making this ghost town a trap with no links with the outside world. Moreover, when they both had their guard down, the meister dashed mighty against Mathew to toss him away with a soul purge, quickly regaining his weapon while startling badly the brunette. "H-hey!? Let go of me! A-are you okay boy?" She asked worried about Mathew but unable to be free from the meister's grasp as he was already bonding the weapon's wavelength thanks to his training at the academy. Which was worse, the witch had also taken his voice and there was no way for him to talk to Misty, which ended up in a struggle to ease down the already scared weapon which tried to release herself from his grasp.
Mathew looked in surprise as the Meister they had cursed burst out of one of the destroyed houses and grabbed Misty away from him. "Misty, be careful!" Mathew called, pretending to be legitimately concerned for her safety. "That has to be the evil spirit!" He pulled the blades out of his back pocket, getting ready to fight. Just then a figure landed on one of the tall roofs behind them. It was the witch herself. "Quick, destroy them!" She called to the Meister who had grabbed Misty, pretending that he was working for her.
The dammed meister tried to control Misty's wavelength but she was soon to reject him completely. "G-et Off From MEEEH!!" With a final struggle, the weapon bursted out from the meisters hand which was severely burned due to the shock of wavelengths, She returned to her human form as she was knocked away because of the burst.
The meister was frustrated, moreover at the witch who had to interfere just when he had finally got the weapon. He quickly tried to motion Misty to get away while charging quickly against Mathew, knowing he didn't stand a chance against the witch but he could at the very least take Mathew with him.
"H-hey L-look out!"
The brunette warned, not knowing she was aiding the other team. But the meister could land another soul purge. Knowing Mathew was lightly stunned by the first soul purge, he would have an advantage at close combat for the time being.
Mathew made a show of stumbling backwards, letting the Meister hit him in the stomach and causing him to fall to the ground. "Misty! Help!" He called, doing his best to sound genuinely afraid. Meanwhile the fire witch jumped down from the roof on the other side of Misty, summoning some fireballs into her hand. "Prepare to die you too!" She said with a smirk. She launched two fireballs towards Misty, making sure they were slow enough for her to dodge so that she could help Mathew.
The brunette was scared to death, even more after witnessing a witch infront of her. Somehow she was able to evade the fireballs, but how would she reach. "Hang on!" The only thing in her way was that meister who was fighting fiercely like a caged animal, unable to even reach his partner. Heck if he was mad, he cursed the witches name in her mind over and over as he was now caged between 3 foes. Misty being now the mayor threat since she looked for openings to reach Mathew.
Suddenly, the opening was given, and the scared weapon ran with all her mind towards mathew, jumping as she transformed in her weapon form, dashing towards him but with her eyes closed, This was a decisive moment. She was about to give her all. The blade flew swiftly as it reached a warm embrace, she was to afraid so she only led herself being led. At one point, there was a conection which blazed with might, as she would feel herself trusting with a powerful thrust into the foes heart. A smile was forming in her face as she thought a light of hope reaching their side, but as she opened her eyes, she could only contemplate with horror how Mathew's life was fading away.
At the last second, in a desperate attempt, the meister forced that opening to grab the 3 of them by surprise, knowing the weapon was too afraid to focus in the battle, the warm embrace of a pure soul was enough to earn her trust and recreate a soul resonance for an instant. It was too much for Mathew to even have a reaction and found a certain death.
"No!!!"
Deep within her, something broke. The emotionally unstable weapon bursted once again with rejection towards the meister, feeling fear, guilt, rage. All over it was now being forced into the meister's wavelength. The worst part of it. He couldn't let go, the weapon was now forcing him to wield her while at the same time damaging his own soul.
"I'm Taking you with me!"
On a desperate intent, the meister wasted his last strength to dash against the fire witch with a powerful strike, yet, at the last seconds, the meister landed just in front of her as his soul was disconnected. The brunette had murdered not one, but two people already. Her damaged body returned to her human form, showing how badly wounded she was for forcing herself in that last move.
"You...you.... are N-next.."
Misty menaced the witch with rage and her eyes, even more, Fear, Guilt, Rage. The result of that mix, was the gate to madness which had almost consumed her in those moments. She merely finalized her threat when her body collapsed and her consciousness was lost.
The hero saved the day by murdering the evil soul which terrorized the town with the help of a miracle. Ironically, that same miracle became the gate to madness that embraced the weapon, taking his life as a result. The very miracle that saved the people was the same miracle that slay the hero's life.
The fire witch stepped forward, standing over the unconscious Misty as she looked at the bodies of Mathew and the Meister. "Hmm...that went better than I thought it would..." she muttered to herself with a cruel smile. She waved her hand and a gout of fire erupted from the air, swirling around Misty and lifting her up without hurting her. "Guess that's all for phase one..." The witch snapped her fingers and with another burst of flame both her and Misty disappeared, leaving nothing but a flash of embers in their wake.
When Misty would awake she would find herself in a small cell with nothing but a stone bed hanging by chains from the wall. Outside she would be able to hear lots of people talking but wouldn't be able to make out what they were saying. There was the groan of a heavy metal door opening before someone stepped into the cell block. It was a woman.
The woman banged the back of her sword against the bars, creating a loud, reverberating noise throughout the cellblock. "Wake up sunshine," she said in a gruff voice, staring sharply at Misty through the bars. "You gotta big day ahead of you."
The girl will sleep, but will never rest. The images of those two, lying lifeless next to one another tormented her while in her slumber. Then out of her head there was a loud noise which made her cover her ears as she was awakened. There was a women there which she had never met. The place she was held looked like a cell. Where was she? and how exactly did she got there. Was she already dead? the thought of it actually crossed her mind, yet the pain in her body made her sure she was still living. Trying to get ahold of herself she managed to stand up from the stone bed while barely keeping eyecontact with the intimidating figure before her.
"I- i'm sorry, where exactly am I and what do you mean by big day ?"
The woman gave a sharp laugh when she heard Misty. "You have no idea where you are, do you?" She said. "I should have guessed. Young lady, you are in a very special place for very special people." She let the comment hang as she pulled out some keys from her keyring. "Now don't you try anything or I'll have to take you out the hard way." After a moment she found the correct key and slowly swung the door wide open. "Come on," she said, stepping aside to give her room to exit. "Everyone is waiting to see you."
"N-no I just..." As the woman started searching for the key, Misty was searching for answers, but no matter how much was she trying, al what she could think of was of those corpses lying before her. Then, it struck her with a sharp pain within her chest. "...I am in jail... for murdering.." She wasnt completely sure about it, but so far it was the best she could do as thinking about it only made her grow headaches. The girl walked quietly out of her cell with a saddened look upon her face. It was so obvious, after all not only did she failed her first mission but also killed her meister.
She awaited quietly to be guided by that woman where she was to be expected, which also made her feel unsafe. But what else could she do?
The woman guided Misty silently down several long hallways until they reached a large room. The woman stood by the door and once Misty had entered the room the woman grabbed the door handle. "Good luuuuck," she said with a smirk before she slammed the door shut. The door was made of some kind of extremely tough metal and wouldn't give an inch. On the opposite side of the room was a large, barred gate. Light poured through the gate but after being so long in the dark, Misty would have trouble making out what was on the other side. However, the noises that sounded like people had grown louder and louder as the woman had taken Misty through the interior of wherever they were until now they sounded like hundreds of people talking at once somewhere very close by.
Misty was confused and lost at the least. Why was she taken over a cell just to be put into another cell? Then, a sudden bright invaded the cell at the furthest end of the room yet it was still painful to bear. The sound of a crow shouting and clapping at unison was growing. It would seem there would be no point in remaining there so, at low phase, the brunette approached the light, even when manny thoughts about it told her not to do so. And so, she was confronted by a blinding light at the end of the hall, yet she continued moving forward. The sound of other people was at some point relaxing knowing she wasn't alone anymore but it took her time to recover from the blindness she was suffering right now.
As Misty regained her vision, the gate in front of her slowly lowered, revealing a massive arena floor, the sand shining white in the bright light. It was of course surrounded by a stadium full of cheering fans, eager to see the bloodshed that was surely coming. On the opposite side of the arena was a similar gate, this one lowering in time with Misty's. On the other side of that gate, however, was something entirely different. As soon as it was able, the massive armored beast stepped out into the arena, letting out an earthshaking roar that drove the crowd into a frenzy of cheers and whistles. The crowd eagerly looked towards Misty's gate, waiting for her to step out of the darkness and into the open so they could witness who would be this beast's next victim.
Misty was frozen the moment she stepped out. The powerful roar expelled by that beast froze the young girl to the bone. Her eyes where completely open as she could only stare at the creature at the other side of the arena. The door which she had exited had closed and was now nowhere for her to go. "What....What the heck is this place?!" She shouted in fear, frustration. The soul was once again covering in fear as she could sense the death wish of everyone set upon her. The hopeless weapon was now caged with a threatening beast.
The beast turned to face Misty as the gate closed behind her. Her cry was met with loud jeers from the crowd. There were so many and so loud that they all seemed to blend together, but all of them were filled with scorn. Each step the beast took shook the ground as it came towards Misty. A magical barrier suddenly flashed into existence in the air over the arena, creating a dome between the two combatants and the outside of the Arena so that neither of them could escape. The beast gave one more defiant roar before it charged Misty, swinging one of its massive mailed fists wide as it tried to slam her against the barrier.
"No! Get away from me!" The girl yelled as she barely evaded the colossal fist going into her direction. The wave created by the threatening blow sent Misty flying behind the beast easily, rolling over the sand that started creating bruises in her skin as she slammed her body against the terrain during the outcome of that beast attack. "D-damn it! Why is this happening? ...help... please.. help, anybody..." She wanted to cry for help so desperately, but the crowds loud voices would not allow her to hear her own voice. The weapon was frightened to death as she tried running several times trying to climb towards the audience but each time she was about to reach them, a magical blast would sent her backwards and once again within the endangered area. Misty continued running away but at this phase the only thing that was certain was that due to her poor physical condition, her strength would not last for long. All what she had with her was nothing but fear, yet her shadow, projected a different outcome, for the shadow was smiling, revealing a set of three eyes with it, following Misty as the desperate girl was running, being each time more noticeable as the brunette's strength was wearing down. "Please...anyone..."
