"It's my costume, of course." Jordan gave Harrison an odd look. Why weren't the others transforming? Oh, s**t, had he messed it up? "Are we undercover or something? Should I not have transformed?" he asked anxiously.
"We got it!" he assured Aymet brightly. "The forces of justice have triumphed!"

"Um. Yeah ok." Rep said, giving Jordan a very wary look. He wandered up behind him and started gently guiding him towards the castle as if he was completely mad. Behind his back he made a worried version of the universal gesture for this bird is cuckoo, twirling his finger at his temple with his free hand.
"Naw. Its fine man. We are just. Keeping our..costumes to ourself. Come on."
Once they were in the hallway beyond, he released Jordan and headed onwards into the dark. He wasn't afraid of a hallway, he could take anything that came his way.
An opinion he rescinded when a mad dash later he found himself a little more battered and bruised at the other end. At least the fire traps hadn't been too bad. "It's fine!" he called back.

Under his breath he asked Rep, "Is he acting kinda...perkier. Than usual- candlejack!"
There was a click, and Harrison promptly got a shoulderfull of arrows. He ducked, dodged, weaved, and when he was nearly at the end of the hallway, whirled-
"Take that, you mangy-" He tripped into a spike pit, and as he crawled, spewing curses from the depths, another volley of arrows showered him from the ceiling.
He was still plucking off arrows as he made his way angrily to the next corner.
Before them, there was another long and ominous hallway.

Jordan gave Rep a bright smile. "Oh, okay. I guess they're not the most practical thing ever. But how are you guys drawing your weapons without transforming? I didn't even know we could do that."
"Careful," he called down the hallway after them, totally unnecessarily, then followed, not quite flouncing, hopping over the tripwires, evading the jets of flame, and hopping over the bottomless pit. He wasn't quite quick enough to dodge the shower of arrows at the end, and the arrows made him stumble right into the swinging blade, but most of the damage he sustained was artfully placed rips and tears to the costume with a few decorative cuts to the skin underneath.
He might have been sort of pouting when he emerged.

Faced with the hall ahead of them Rep paused.
He looked back at the trap riddled hallway they'd just come through, and then at the pristine and critically untriggered way ahead of them. He curled his tail, the way he always did when he was thinking intently, and then doubled back patiently and took a shadowy guardian by the hand.
"Here man like. You are going to scout ahead for us. We are going to consider things deeply and s**t. You just go right on and we'll be behind you." he saluted with his claws.
And then for good measure, put a taloned foot on the guy's rear and shoved.
There was a clatter of particularly awful triggered traps, a chain reaction that spanned the hallway. Rep carefully made no expression at all.
There was no literal skipping, but it might have been a close thing. "Thanks," Jordan said to the already-dissolving shadowy figure as he passed it. "We'll see you later."
As he stepped through the door into the room lined with cups, a smoking shadow javelin planted itself into the ground at his feet, and he danced back, gasping as the guardian revealed itself. "You should power up, this is going to be a tough one," he said to the others.

"I'll show him power up," Harrison muttered under his breath, cocking back his enormous yellow sword.
When he swung, he got nothing but air.

"You can do it!" Jordan spun and lashed his whip out at the guardian, looping the lash around its elbow where the plates of its armor joined. The barbs dug into the joint as he pulled it back; as the whip came free again, it glinted dramatically in a conveniently placed beam of light.
The guardian hit him in the stomach, and he oofed and stumbled back.

It really wasn't. Jordan gave his friends another puzzled look as he darted in to attack the monster again. They weren't their usual positive selves, and it was really odd that they weren't transforming.

"Maybe the s**t he remembers is uh, selective," Harrison suggested lightly, although that didn't explain the ability to summon an outfit.
He remembered it being explained to him, too, about the difference between his Jordan, his Rep, and some...other Harrison's.

The guardian interposed itself again, and he attacked it vigorously.
