All of a sudden-
TWANG!
"-ngh!" An arrow, painted black, shot from nowhere! It grazes Rei on his thigh. "Rei! Are you OK?"
After examining his wound, he nodded. "Just a scratch. But why? We didn't trip anything?"
"No...we did touch something. The door! It act like a timer-if we took long enough the traps will activate even if we didn't touch anything!!!"
Thus, the party rushed their way in.

Spears. Circular saws. Pitfalls. Arrows. More arrows.
They rushed their way deeper and deeper, being grazed all over from the close shave-
And they all did a sliding dive before the door shuts behind them.
Thankfully, it seems there's no one who injured too badly.
They continued their exploration.

The Gauntlet pt 3 - Mystic Tiles Starting/Current HP: 50 Ending HP: [Recover All] = 60 The rolls:

They reached the next room. It was a large, empty room. Except...on the floor there are tiles. From the symbol on top they appeared to be---

She randomly jumped on one tile. Nothing happened. Next tile... Something rained from above! "It stings! Is this acid or-" "-no, look. Our wounds are closing..."
Seriously, healing sprinkles? That's original.
There's also metal tub traps installed, so Rei gets a great laugh from seeing the blank faces of his companion.
Either way, they passed the room safely.

At last you and your companions (if any) have reached the end. The room is circular and filled with many shelves, each one containing many different kinds of goblets. There is a fountain in the middle of the room. Something tells you that you must take a goblet and drink from it. You take a step into the room, only to be stop as a shadowy javelin plants itself in the ground in front of you. Had the thrower put a bit more force into it, there's no doubt that it would have passed through you, pinning you to the ground through your midsection.
The room shakes, the treasures on the shelves rattling with each step as the Guardian strides into the light. Their head is held high, and they are already armed with another javelin to throw at you.

Rei lets his consciousness mix with the memory's owner.
He became something even greater. If this 'journey' recorded in fabricated memories are simply a movie- Now he took control of the player character. And in turn---

Other then the sound of panting and gasping, the final room of the sanctuary is silent.
"Did we really, really do it?" asked the archer, his hand trembling and his nail was torn from all those shooting.
I raised my head from the floor and looked at the Guardian's corpse.
"Yep." "Hurraaay." Said the thief, as cheerful as her tired voice can convey.
"Let's hold the celebration. We still have a problem here." said the Sage.
Upon hearing that, we all jumped on our feet. What is the problem???
THE GAUNTLET - PART 5
With the Guardian taken care of, you are now free to examine the shelves before you. You have made it, you are now at the chamber that holds the treasure you were after: the Grail.
As you study the shelves, you notice with growing dismay that there are many grails in varying shapes, sizes, colors, and materials. It will be a mighty task to narrow down the ideal one, the one and only Grail.
Your memory asserts itself; you can hear *****'s voice. They had told you that in order to reclaim part of what you lost you would need to drink from the Grail. "But be warned," They cautioned, "For should you choose wrong your true self will be lost to you, and you will live a lie. Go forth with a strong heart with the shades of my dearest Companions. They will lead you to your heart's desire."
So, only one of these grail is the true one... Muttered Rei, detaching his mind from the memories.
"Hey leader! You seems to be confused." Called Teels, patting my shoulder. "Eh...yes. With all of these Grails...which one is the true one?"
Yet they all smiled to me.
"? What's funny?"
"Don't tell us you forgot! Each of us seven...well, now six- are the Grail's chosen. It means we can distinguish the true Grail from within these fakes!" Said the sage. "-and we all did this so the Grail can choose a new master. A new King to be throned." said the archer.
"Here, catch!" said the thief, already climbing on the shelves. "WHOA!"
I caught the glittering cup with both hands, careful so it would not break.
"Go on. Drink from that Grail. Make the prophecy true. Fulfill your destiny-"
"Be our King. A gentle king. A mighty king. A lawful king. But for the most-"
"Greater than anyone that have passed or yet to come. A True King. A Great King!"
I raised my hands, dipping the goblet into the fountain, scooping up some water.
It was very clear and cool.
"Before I drink this...let me say something."
I paused.
"Each and every of you have done your task very well. The first thing that I'll do after I've become a King is knighting you guys."
Several gasps can be heard. "Are you serious? We aren't noble-birth or anything near that! Heck, have you ever heard a FEMALE knight which specializes in BURGLAR?"
Sounds of laughter filled the air. "No. no. no. You will answer to no one, me included. With all my due respect, all of you have exhibited things that I don't have. Knowledge, Skill, Dexterity..."
"-you outrun us by far in Courage, though."
"No comment on that. So! The reason I will be knighting you all is so you can guide me to become a great king-as you all wanted me to be. A king who serve people instead of wanting to be served. A king that can mingle with his people without regarding birth or status. A king loved by his people; that's the king I'm inspiring to be."
With that, I raised the Grail once again. "All for one; and one for all!!!"
I drunk the contents of the goblet greedily. As the cool, almost sweet water passed my throat, something awoke in me.

...you have chosen wisely. As the cool liquid courses down your throat you feel something seem to shift and change within you. Something you've lost has been returned to you. You regain an ability based off of your character's faction:
gaia_diamond If you are a STUDENT: you may now turn into your character's natural form. Weapon effects and dice carry over. If your character does not have a natural form, then you instead may CREATE a natural form based off of the weapon your character has equipped. This form will be made out of Insanity, so your character will be mainly greys! Otherwise those with natural forms get them as-is without Insanity. Reapers may summon their familiar/weapon, however they cannot shift into an Insanity-weapon-beast if they choose this option!
gaia_diamond If you are a HUNTER: you regain your hunter's weapon, ie your hunter can hear them again. Your Weapon's form then overrides the appearance of your Insanity-weapon, however stats/abilities will remain the same. (ie, Aria is equipped with Desperation, however with this she now wields Symphony her flamethrower and burns things instead of punching them with 2d10-8 )
gaia_diamond If you are a HORSEMAN: your currently equipped Weapon takes on the form of your character's actual weapon. In addition, you may also summon your character's mount. There is no time penalty, so yes you could keep your character's butt on their pretty pony while looking down on all the other characters for the rest of the meta if you wanted to.
Upon swallowing that cold water, the memory drifted away from Rei's head. He remembered what he is. A leftover. A soul. A ghost. A possessive spirit. A tsukumonogami. He reached to his ears, materializing the headphones which is the core of his body now.
Eventually, the healthy shade of tan in his skin are replaced by glow of compressed plasma. His heterochromic eye stays, but it now glows.
"This is me. The true me."
