Well, that was gratifying. He gave Heidi a wolfish and decidedly inappropriate grin, but it was so short-lived it might have been taken for a trick of the light. Small pleasures, tiny compensations for the utter bullshit he was trudging through. Well, at least other people were doing well. Because trying to take down a dragon... with many heads, with daggers? Not working so well. Yes, Heidi did miss the grin. She was too busy trying not to die.
There were so many people arriving, some she recognized, some she didn't. There was that girl from before..she also looked different. Like they all did.

There were a lot of people now. All trying to hard. He had to do SOMETHING. So he plucked himself back up and quickly charged at the thing. With that thought, she drove the daggers into the creature. Big angry dragon or not. It seemed to be wearing down. He was certainly getting more hits in, and everyone attacking it seemed to be helping to aid with progress. Right. They could do this!
