At last you and your companions (if any) have reached the end. The room is circular and filled with many shelves, each one containing many different kinds of goblets. There is a fountain in the middle of the room. Something tells you that you must take a goblet and drink from it. You take a step into the room, only to be stop as a shadowy javelin plants itself in the ground in front of you. Had the thrower put a bit more force into it, there's no doubt that it would have passed through you, pinning you to the ground through your midsection.
The room shakes, the treasures on the shelves rattling with each step as the Guardian strides into the light. Their head is held high, and they are already armed with another javelin to throw at you.

Finally reaching the last room relatively unscathed, Efflo breathed a tentative sigh of relief. As a shadowy javelin nearly severed his midsection, the sigh turned into more of a shriek.
"It can never be easy, can it," he muttered, casting a thoughtful glare at their remaining companions. Useless.

Taiki felt absolutely nothing as two more members of their group disappeared. That was what happened when you got the short end of the stick. No use mourning over that.
"Another one?" he murmured, brows knitted together. Sighing, he took out his weapons again and struck.

The javelin quivering point-first in the ground an inch from his boot did give Szczeosny pause.
Just long enough to draw his weapons.
"Oh, but ve are," he called to the guardian in a mocking tone. The double daggers cut deep slashes into their opponent, before he leapt back again, into safety behind the others.

For each of their fellow shadowed companions, Milo made up backstories as he passed their lifeless corpses or.. what would have been some if they were still there and all. For poor Alejandro, he was going to make it. He was going to get out this ugly war and achieve his dream of becoming a baker. He was going to get it, but things were cut so short.
For poor Pedro, he was only in this to find his father and kill him for revenge. He was so driven by it but he was taken by mines. So tragic, so tragic.
"Well, this guy looks interesting," he commented joining the others, no longer really thinking of those other guys. He pulled out his sword and got to work.

Szczeosny continued to use the others' distractions to his advantage, driving the cracked and dissolving blades of his daggers into the enemy every chance he got. He had his speed going for him, and that was just barely enough right now.
"Nice move," he flashed a smile at Milo. "You should teach me sometime."

"The other guys looked a little boring," he explained with a shrug to shirtless dark guy with ears. Right as he was doing a pretty mediocre attack on the big guy.

"I think you're doing pretty good with your own sweet moves," Milo grinned to the other guy. He had some pretty sweet looking weapons there.

Szczeosny picked up a few throwaway trinkets from the fallen enemy. They looked valuable, but nowhere near as valuable as what they'd come here for. The fountain waited for them...

Following the others' lead, Efflo bent to scoop up some of the scattered loot. It wasn't really all that interesting, but he was sure that it would come in handy later.
