The blade that Taima had previously wielded with such ease now felt overwhelming and clumsy, and she had little to no idea what to do with it. It was just an added annoyance on top of everything else. Her head was a mess; a murky bog of conflicting feelings that refused to settle. Clerise felt as though she was split down the middle, into black and white, into something soft and vulnerable and loyal, into something cruel and malicious and vicious. The worst part was, she didn't know where the shadows ended and the light began. Okay. Aside from the backflipping girl, the other peoples present doesn't seem to take this seriously, thought Rei. This is not the land blessed by the Goddess anymore, so he can't do the reckless kind of battling 'Eir' does. More than that, the grazes on his skins from dirt and pebble launched upon the draconic beast's attack started to ooze...electricity. "-meh." Groaned him, shifting his attention away from that small details. Sometimes, even ghosts can be hurt. He tried to be intangible just before, and it failed. Could it be whatever the Great King remade him into-it was something physical? He remembered one trick from 'Eir's memories. Jumping aside to evade another biting attack, he lightly touched the neck of the beast---"Gotcha." The blades reappeared there, only halfway-in because of the girth of said neck and the thick scales---but it did the job just fine. "We made a promise.." Heidi said quietly, though she couldn't remember what that promise was. Was it to the people in her memory? The friends she had met? The ones she remembered?
She shot at the hydra with one gun and then the other instead of using them both simultaneously. It felt a lot easier on her wrists that way.
