Finally, Remye seemed to hit her stride. Shaking off the fear she leapt into battle, stabbing the spear into one of its paws sharply to try and hit it in the weak spot. If it couldn't move, it couldn't attack. She managed to strike the target, but only somewhat, and was quick to draw back before she could get eaten.
So maybe most of the fear was gone.
It was still huge.

Remye attacked again, holding her spear tight to try and steady her shaking hand. It was effective, though not as effective as her last attack. She was beginning to grow weary of the fighting, but they were so close she could taste it.

Fear. It was distracting, almost involuntary - he could feel himself getting weaker, and yet the monster didn't seem to slow. Once more her spear tip glazed the beast, but it did only a meager amount of damage compared to that of her peers. Still, she reckoned that the beast was starting to falter, to get weaker. They were almost there, so close to victory she could taste it. Her meager damage aside, they would win this.
The loot would be sweet.

Whether tired, or just weak, Remye's last attack was puny; barely a scratch, the beast probably hadn't even felt it. She shrunk back, sucking in a breath and leaning on her spear, and waited warily for the others to finish it off. It was nearly dead, now, but she didn't have it in her to continue fighting. She would wait.
