The creature was close to the ground now, having sustained a number of harsh attacks from the girl, who was pretty bruised up herself. Panting, she adjusted her grip on the knife before moving forward, looking at the creature hesitantly. She could back off now, maybe--leave it alive. But then, what if it attacked her the moment she turned her back? What if it went after the others after it recovered?

Panting, she moved over to where the creature's body disappeared, kneeling down to pick up one of the items it had dropped. The knife slipped from her fingers as she squeezed her eyes shut, taking some time to recuperate.

Click... click... click. The Goddess' footsteps were hollow as she entered the alter. She did not let go of the scythe she held as she ran a hand along the alter, expression unreadable. She raised her hand to the air and concentrated. Slowly the shadows peeled themselves from the wall, gathering before her. At last they took shape again, solidifying into the beast once more. Except apparently it wasn't over at all.
She didn't think that there would be more. When the Goddess came, the girl practically froze, fearing that she would be angry that she followed her here. However, that didn't seem the be the case at all...
The last thing Ixy had been expecting was to have to fight the beast again, which was made clear when she was unable to react fast enough to its attack. She knew she wasn't going to survive this--that much was clear...
...But she definitely wasn't going to go down without a fight.
