In the grand scheme of things, Aldara did not get out much. The harpy ghoul had been cold, bitter and antisocial since arriving at Amityville. She had her reasons, of course, not that she was willing to share them... Sharing meant a chance of letting someone in; opening up and giving them that chance to get close to you.
So far, she had managed to avoid it... Up until now.
Aldara smoothed her feathers down, trying to keep them from puffing up to the point that it was obvious how nervous she was. She had found a pretty dress to wear to Prom and, somehow, she had even gotten herself a date.
Yui had invited her. She had been tempted to say no. Highly tempted to say no, but something about the way the sambieto had seemed so determined to take nothing short of a 'yes' had reminded her of...
When she caught sight of the other ghoul her heart skipped; not because of the connotations of a 'date' but because it meant that she had made a friend. It filled her with a vague feeling of hope where before there had been despair. Someone liked her for who she was; not who her family had wanted her to be.
It was with that glimmer of hope that they went through the carnival together, eyes bright and filled with light. Laughter, competition and the spark of something... The spark of friendship.
The harpy ghoul's heart swelled with hope that this might be a chance for a new start; that maybe she could finally let go of everything that had hurt so much about letting go to make this place, this school, her home. Tasting Open! Tea's Tasted:

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink Description: Bitter and antisocial at first, but then her heart wavers. Hope and friendship. Your commentary on its flavour: The memory brings a smile to his lips. While he couldn't sympathize with her initial notion to remain alone, he can at least understand why she might have. But he was glad she chose to open her heart to others in the end. Being alone might have suited her fine, but company and friendship was so much better. He hopes she got the new start she had wished for.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Pale Pink Description: Hope, excitement, acceptance Your commentary on its flavour: Okay, one more cup. Hale picked up one more, and she, once again, shared in those feelings of hope and excitement. She also noted that many were finding their footing, their sense of self, at this school. How nice that there was a place where others could join together and learn together.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Light pink. Description: The first taste of the tea is bittersweet and wary, but the taste is quickly replaced by a feeling of hope and desperation to belong, to have a place to belong to. Your commentary on its flavour: At first Remye is apprehensive; the first sip of the tea is bitter and wary of the others in the memory. But this is quickly replaced, first by apprehension at an invitation and then lifted by the feeling of finding a friend. Hope. She hoped for the girl in the memory, too, that she would find her home wherever-she-was. Remye left the table feeling more hopeful about the other teas she would sample, too.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Peach. Description: Cheery, Excited, Warm, Hopeful, Happy Your commentary on its flavour: A very fruity taste. It was full of the nectar of happiness from gaining something that was thought to have not happened. It was very exciting to feel and it made him feel happy in return. A Friend is one of the most precious things to have. Ezophyr's lips quirked as he looked down at the cup. He most certainly liked this feeling.
