He was obviously getting close to being down for the count, but he wasn't ready for that. He was pissed, and he was confused about his own emotions, and abruptly, he realized that he could do something about it. He wasn't sure how he did it. But visibly, the tracks left by the cat's claws dissipated. He turned a look at Coyote that was inexplicably triumphant. Almost a gloat. "No." She wasn't following him, but she was happy to see him. He was familiar, he was unique, and she was inclined to stick with him. For better or worst. "What have you managed to accomplish?" She darted in for another kick, but a stubby arm came up and caught her in the shoulder and sent her crashing to the ground. She gave a startled, pain filled hiss as she got back to her feet and put a little distance between herself and the monster. Her gaze caught Amity, the fading claw marks, and she raised gray brows at him. Simultaneously impressed, jealous, and wary. As much as he liked seeing the people around him do worse than he was, he didn't like seeing any of them--not just Coyote, but any of them--get hurt. When it happened to her, he averted his eyes. She'd be fine. It wasn't his job to take care of anyone. "All kinds of s**t," he said grimly, too distracted to get a good shot in. He thought about the empty pedestal, and the gap in his thoughts before it; he thought about the Wall, and having something taken away that he hadn't wanted to lose. "Oh ya?" She inquired, though frowned when he contradicted himself, lips twisting to one side. She was fine, more or less. Her shoulder hurt where she'd hit the ground, but not bad. Certainly not bad enough to keep her from attacking. An opening presented itself and she took it, driving her knee into the cat thing's abdomen when it went after someone else. Another stumpy appendage caught her in the stomach as she hopped back, but she barely felt it, too satisfied with having delivered a rather strong hit. "Me? Oh, you know. This and that. Mostly looked around." Amity actually was too busy nimbly hopping out of the way of the newcomer's barreling charge to get a hit in. Maybe that was best. Guy seemed like he knew what he was doing, or at least was very enthusiastic in not knowing. "So productive," he answered Coyote, voice thick with derision. He was just jealous. He wished it was as easy for him to just wander aimlessly, occasionally spicing up his meandering with enormously enjoying kneeing things in the gut. Wide eyes followed the charging newcomer, and she gave an impressed half shrug before offering Amity a snort. "Nothing wrong with getting the lay of the land. Never know what you'll find." Admittedly she had found nothing, but he didn't need to know that. The Creature was coming towards her again and she actually let it take a swing at her so she could catch it's arm and drive her elbow up into what she presumed to be it's chin. Apparently she was finally hitting her stride. Or, more likely, was just getting off a bunch of lucky shots. Whatever, she was enjoying herself. She shouldn't have turned her attention to watch one of the other's. It left her wide open for the blow to the back of her head. She didn't even make a sound, simply dropped to her knees and collapsed forward, small head bouncing off the cracked pavement. Hard. She was down, out for the count, but, apparently, only temporarily. After maybe twenty seconds she lifted her head and pushed up to her knees, shaking herself like a dog before hopping up to her feet. "That really ******** hurt.." It also served to piss the tiny figure off. She gave a fierce little snarl as she turned on her heel and brought her leg up to drive her heel into the cat thing's face.
