"I think that's her over there trying to stay deadpan with the guy who keeps calling her Baby as he idiotsplains Medium Well." He offered, tipping his chin slightly in the direction of the beleaguered, trapped waitress who was getting a lecture on exactly how the slightly pink faced man in an ugly ill fitting pinstripe suit thought his steak should be prepared, menu descriptions be damned. "Sucks to be her but works for us I guess? It might be a minute." "Although speaking of your skirt it does make your ending look rather dramatic." He noted, grinning and holding up his menu as a shield.

"At least she's not chewing gum like a cow and flirting like some high school cheerleader," Bell said, remembering a certain waitress from a certain breakfast-for-dinner diner. Bell still felt a tinge of silent mechanical laughter at ticking that chick off - even if all she had done was walk in at sit with Jamie. Or rather - swoop in and rescue him from a grammar-less, oxygen-guzzling, air-headed, bimbo. Aaaand on to the skirt. "Well, turnabout is fair play - I find your tail rather amusing, myself." lion-tailed ribbons must have been another cosmic pun to add to Jamie's lion theme. Of course, going with the former play talk as well, 'tail' could have also been 'tale' in that sentence. Though in the end it could be assumed she'd also done her share of stealing glances at a certain senshi's a**. And admitting to it with a smug smile, no less!

"Maybe it's a weird Senshi thing. Maybe it's some strange side effect to glamor and it takes us a while to get noticed?" Glamor was strange enough on it's own, very Deux Ex Machina, he'd have been surprised if it didn't work strangely sometimes. "I do like my tails. Better than some accessories I've seen." He chuckled, lowering his voice slightly as the haggard looking waitress finally found a chance to break free and deliver her ticket. "Good thing I haven't gone friggin' Royal though. I'd probably have... I don't know. A giant mane or something. Anyway... Did you want an appetizer or should we just go straight to the ... ok this wasn't supposed to be a pun.. main course?"

Bell grinned, amused at the thought, "and suddenly the Rum Tum Tugger from CATS comes to mind..." Which was pretty hilarious. As for food, she shrugged. "It's up to you." Bell never really got how the Glamour thing worked. But that was the thing with this war - they didn't really get to understand how a lot of things worked. It just did. And things like that infuriated her. Bell was the type of person who liked to know the how and why of things. Having to simply just accept things for what they were was not something that she did easily.

"Oh Lord, that would happen to me wouldn't it?" He groaned. He could picture it far too easily. "I guess.. lets skip the appetizer? Desert menu looked better." He suggested as the waitress started their way. Understandably, the woman looked a bit tense, not sure if she was in for another buffeting from the two young people at her table, and she clutched her order pad like a shield.

"Sounds good to me~" Bell replied, making no further comment on the Tugger thing as the waitress came over. For her sake, Bell tried to look a bit more amiable. Bell's air of late had been somewhere between Honey Badger and sanctimonious. A cool, detached, superiority that seemed to come with being a jaded senior senshi. Of course, Bell wasn't always so prickly. She just was at a point in her life where she had a low tolerance for bullshit.

"Hi, my name is Anne...I'll be your server tonight." The waitress offered, still holding her pad and pen in defensive, tense stance. "Sorry for the wait, can I start you two off with something to drink?" "Yeah, uh, could I get a root-beer?" Jaimie asked, flashing her a grateful, and he hoped, non threatening smile. His time spent cut off from the family fortune gave him a touch more sympathy for being in the woman's shoes, though hiding the Senshi half of his identity... He kind of wondered if anyone powered dated people who weren't. Or if they did, if it could work. "How about you, Bell?"

"Coke for me," or Pepsi, or whatever their cola was. She really didn't get the coke vs pepsi war. Now, Dr.Pepper, she was more picky about. Some of THAT off-brand stuff was just plain nasty. As for the powered thing.... How did one even maintain freindships that weren't also on the same side of the war as them? After a while you tend to let things slip in conversation, and in mixed or unknown company, that could be dangerous. Deadly, even. Not to mention how it cut in to one's social life anyway... Granted, bell wasn't half as dedicated to the senshi thing as she used to be. There seemed to be more soldiers poping up, and gaining ranks faster than they ever had,... Let them take care of things for a while. She'd offer advice and impart her knowledge if they wanted, because she knew how much it sucked to not know what is going on when you're new, but really....she just wasn't seeing much progress either way, to really move her to act.

"Root beer and a Coke. Got it. Would you like a few minutes to decide or do you know what you'd like to order?" The Waitress smiled, a bit less forced this time, relaxing just a hair. "Bell?" Jaimie glanced at her, waiting on her cue before he ordered. He had a reasonable idea of what he wanted, but she was the lady of the hour, here to be a little spoiled if possible. How the hell you spoiled someone who could probably buy your apartment building was a dilemma he'd never had to face before.

"I'm ready to order,:" bell said, and placed her order fora medium stake, baked potato, and sauteed mushrooms. Bell wasn't too indulgent, especially when on another's dollar. However she could take some delight in being or presenting a dilemma. A little difficulty made life more fun. Granted, she didn't really let on what kind of funds she was sitting on. Some Google sleuthing usually did the job. 'Bilionaire business owner's daughter still reluctant to take ownership of family company,' or something similar. was usually the headline. Even without owning the company, Bell was still set to inherit millions in a few months.... She was pretty sure Jamie wasn't fully aware of just how set for life Bell was. However, Bell hadn't really ever bothered to Google Jamie's family either. Her ineptitude with the internet and the computer in general kind of aided in that though.

Jaimie ordered a medium well steak and a side of sweet potato fries. Normally he would have liked regular fries, but he'd heard pretty good things about the sweet potato kind and a vague handwave at variety was the spice of life. spice preferably forming a bed for a perfectly cooked hunk of meat.
The waitress jotted things down, made another attempt at pleasantries, and wandered away to bring them their drinks.
"So... how's Ainsley? And the play thing? I remember you saying they picked a pretty boring one that I hadn't seen."

"What do you dip sweet potato fries in? Marshmallow creme?" Bell joked. "As for Ainsley, she's dealing with some kids at school being little jerks, but that's kids," she shook her head. She pretty much just left Ainsley to deal with her own self, really. "The play, well, it's going. I'm taking a bit of a backseat, honestly." After all, it wasn't like there was much for her to help with anyway. It was a minimalist set and costumes this time around. Everything was pretty much already done. It was just up to others to memorize lines and blocking.

"I bet you -could- dip them Marshmallow creme, but normally I just use ketchup or salt. I bet that would be an awesome way to get a kid to eat one though." He debated. "Sorry about the school kids. I guess that happens though... and hey, Back Seat isn't bad. I mean, you need a break, right?" He wasn't sure how she did so much without going crazy...

"Well, it gives me a lot more free time." Which wasn't such a bad thing, now was it? She wasn't always sure how to deal with free time though, as used to being busy as she was...

"So...basically you plan on finding a hundred new things to do?" He teased, because God forbid that Bell McMahon relax. She was technically the senshi of fortitude, but it might have been more appropriate if she were the senshi of Stubbornness. Was that a thing even? He was the senshi of pride... maybe it was a thing. Maybe they just weren't awakened yet. Bah. Too confusing.
