Thyone wasn't a soldier, not really. Fierce? Perhaps, but she preferred to fight her battles with lingering smiles, words, and the muscles of her allies. She did, however, understand the purpose of meetings like this one. To inspire those that needed inspiration, and strike fear into the hearts of those that needed to toe lines. To unite them.
She would have shown up, even if it wasn't mandatory, to get a good look at her allies. One could never have too many friends.
The recently "upgraded" senshi of hedonism let her eyes linger on a tall man in a suit, waiting for a slight pause in his conversation to step into it, touching his arm with a smile.
"The promotion looks good on you, General."

"Thank you," General Osumilite started at the sound of a congratulatory female voice, without having even turned around. He looked back to greet the woman with a small grin, which only grew exponentially when he saw her - Super Sailor Thyone. "Oh, damn." "You're looking pretty ******** yourself, Thyone," he continued on. "A rise in the ranks, I see. You took to it pretty kindly." "I need to thank you again for all your help with the project," he added. "I hope it has done some good for your image so that we all may benefit from it."

And just went he thought he had lucked out with one treat for the eyes, another appeared before him, and the way Buddingtonite beamed at the attention he was getting was certainly enough to chase away any dreariness he once felt. He looked to Acanthite and removed his cap from his head, giving her a polite bow as he introduced himself. "Captain Buddingtonite of Infiltration. A pleasure to meet you, dear Acanthite..."
He cast a taunting glance at his friend, before giving him a playful elbow to his side to goad him on. "Now, now, Captain. It's rude to not address your comrades. Surely they're worthy of your name!"Quicksilver the Archangel Mica was pleased with her answer, and she gave the General-Queen a respectful bow. She could abide to these rules easily, and she let her know that she was done with a simple bob of her head. "Thank you, General-Queen Laurelite."

Oh, he liked this man already. Anyone who knew how to compliment could easily send Adonis into a fit of preening, whether intentional or not.
The corrupted blonde reclined in his chair and flashed Buddingtonite a sultry smile. Anyone willing to introduce themselves while flattering a stranger was worthy of his good graces. "Adonis, fittingly enough. But you can call me anything you like, Buddy. May I call you that? It's a little easier on the tongue than Buddingtonite." And that name sounded like a euphemism for something, certainly.
"I met someone else who gave me a ride here, but he didn't seem terribly enthused when I called him babe. Looked like someone had a little fun with his face, if you know what I mean. You, on the other hand," he gestured toward the redhead, his index finger brushing against the metal shoulder plates of his uniform, "probably know how to accept compliments in stride."
He would've continued with his forward introductions, but someone new joined the little group. And what a wonderful addition she was, quite easy on the eyes to boot.
My, the Negaverse was full of surprising faces.
"Acanthite?" He echoed. Was he the only person in the Negaverse without an -ite suffix? That was a little uncomfortable, but certainly not enough to ruffle his feathers. "Have a seat, pretty. I wouldn't mind getting to know you, too. Maybe these fine gentlemen could give us both a ride home, eh?" To whose home, he wouldn't specify. That was all part of the excitement, right? Mystery lent a great deal of weight to his words on most occasions.Asahi Kumoru you're more than welcome!

Strickenized Sorry for slowness! Rough day yesterday. Asahi Kumoru I don't mind at all! Although I apologize for being slow. xD; ChibiGingi Further apologies for slowness. Figured we have two corrupt Senshi... might as well make it a trio! :3 It was an infestation. The approach of one Senshi, however masculine and attractive, was one matter. Buddingtonite could, and was, handling the affair. That left the green-and-gold clad Captain to spend his time expressing the only interest he had in a Senshi--information. The appearance of this newcomer was at least interesting. His eyes ran down the slit of the Senshi's- skirt and took note of the twin tails of hair. Easily identifiable markers for the future. He added to it his name: Adonis. Again, easy enough to remember. Serpentine just hoped that the flirting before his eyes did not turn into a literal affair, and it showed in the whisper to his partner, "Pretty poison, Buddy." But then, just as he had proclaimed judgment, Acanthite appeared. Hoopskirt and bustier, with swirls of chocolate ice cream hair. Yet, she instantly earned a higher spot in the vain Serpentine's eyes because she seemed to know her place. A bow, a brief introduction, her branch were the first words spoken. The rainbow-haired Captain inclined his head, though it was somewhat a dismissive gesture. Best to encourage good behavior, when it was presented. Besides... Carnelian had shown that some Corrupt Senshi, though intrinsically suspicious, were not necessarily traitors. "Captain Serpentine. Spec-Ops." Then, with a sense of duty more than graciousness, he indicated the men near by, "Adonis, Senshi, unknown branch. Buddingtonite, Captain, Infiltration." Serpentine then pointed to a nearby Corrupted Senshi with bug-eyed goggles and snapped his fingers to get his attention. If Acanthite was gracious enough to come to him seeking information, then he could provide. And perhaps learn how loyal this other Senshi was. "You. Name?"

Acanthtie smiled at Buddingtonite, part charmed by his demeanor and part amused by his lengthy name. Not his choice, though, if her experience was anything to go by. She knew by his title that he outranked her, though, and lacked the apparent stones of the other senshi in the group to offer a nickname.
"Captain," she said, and acknowledged him with a nod.
Then she glanced to the other senshi, with the twin lengths of hair trailing down his back. One hand strayed to her own massive curls sa she realized she had not thought about just how the male senshi managed the lengthier hair that seemed to come with powering up. It took her a second to decide whether to be offended or flattered by his pet name for her, though, but after a moment of consideration, she took a seat beside him. With a comfortable amount of intervening personal space.
"Adonis," the Senshi of the Cataract repeated. He would be easy to remember, at least. Though she was silently curious as well about his name - some Greek god or something, instead of a mineral. Maybe Acanthite could ask him later about it.
Then the third - "Captain" - Serpentine who did not seem as warm as the other Captain in demeanor, but Acanthite thought his uniform attractive, at least. And certainly distinctive. He seemed to command attention, though, and the brown-haired girl followed his pointing to the other senshi, peering at the one with the strange goggles and awaiting his name.
She still felt in a minority as a senshi there, as she touched the fractured spot in her chest that the two captains notably lacked. But it was still reassuring to see that there were others. If nothing else, it made that many fewer senshi as enemies, Acanthite supposed.Quicksilver the Archangel

"Flatterer," Thyone's widened grin assured the General that she knew his compliments were entirely sincere. She raised her brows. "I am jealous of your coat, however."
As for the project. "My pleasure," There was no need to explain how frightening the whole experience had truly been, "It has certainly turned a spotlight on my work. Any publicity is good, they say." Though it had, primarily, been positive. "People want to know someone is doing their part to take care of all of this, and I'm a rather attractive fantasy, in that regard."
Hazel eyes roamed beyond Osumilite to take in those that still lingered in the hall. Surprisingly, there was a higher proportion of senshi than usual, and almost all of them so young.

Buddingtonite was always fond of attention, though he much preferred the good kind, like the kind he was getting now. Certainly a breath of fresh air as opposed to his string of rotten luck as of late. Yes, this was certainly more of his cup of tea, and he scoffed at his friend's rotten mood, even as he seemed keen on Acanthite's politeness. Or maybe it was how she came off as subservient? Either way, Buddingtonite was quick to prod his friend, perhaps as return for having the nerve to call him out on his own weariness. "Careful, friend, or someone will mistake you for liking our Sailor Suited allies."
He felt bad for the one he called out, but he would bring no further attention to that one. If it wasn't the buggy-eyed visors that tarnished his good image, it was his interesting Fu Man Chu, and he figured the poor fellow was mocked and teased relentlessly to warrant him jumping him. Instead, he turned his attention to the two Senshi before him, and he flashed Adonis a playful wink as he addressed them both. "Now, don't mind him. He's just very strict about the whole professional demeanor thing. Me, on the other hand, am more than happy to be best friends with everyone in the Negaverse. Just call me Buddy."
Adonis could call him whatever he'd like, however... and whenever, as well, as far as he was concerned.Vespa wasn't expecting anyone to address him, much less notice him, and he was torn between being angry that he was being ignored, or relieved that it likely kept him from getting in trouble. Yet, the moment a Negaverse captain with dark, rainbow hair and piercing golden eyes called to him, he was standing at attention, back straight and giving a proper salute. Despite his dorky appearance, he was willing to show just how seriously he took his duties, and he answered without haste.
"I am Sailor Vespa of Wasps, SIR! Spec-Ops!"
He realized he didn't ask for his branch, but he figured he'd err on the side of caution and go ahead and drop it. Though, with what General-Queen Laurelite just said, he was considering switching to General... he was debating on if he should bring that up or not, but he'd wait for this Captain, or maybe another, to ask first. He didn't want them thinking he was talking out of turn... Quicksilver the Archangel

Serpentine nodded, satisifaction clear in the small smile that came to his face as he, in turn, introduced Vespa to their assemblage. If he had to be surrounded by Senshi, at least two of the three of them were appropriately respectful. "At ease. These are Acanthite, Intelligence. Adonis, unknown Branch. Buddingtonite, Infiltration, Captain. I am Captain Serpentine, also of Spec-Ops." Curious that he had not seen Vespa sooner, given that they served the same branch. Perhaps he was new and had not yet begun the rigorous training the branch required. Either way, at least there was an exchange of information going on now. At Buddingtonite's jest, the other captain snorted. "I can work with them. Train them, as needed. It is enough."

To his credit, the newbie recruit wasn't actually engaged in the lewd gestures and even, maybe, looked faintly embarrassed. It wasn't exactly that Bornite had a high bar of decorum, but the situation demanded, he felt, rather more dignity than Typhon was giving it. "I swear to god," he told Xeno with a solemn, worried-eyed face, "this a*****e would find something lewd to say if he found out there was an apocalyptic asteroid headed for Earth."

Acanthite nodded at Capt- at Buddy's words and smiled a little. The strictness of the hierarchy really seemed to her like it lent the Negaverse a comforting structure - she could be sure of where she sat on the totem pole. But of course the grey-eyed girl was more accustomed to less structure in friendships and so forth, so it also came as a bit of a relief that this Captain would not be likely to reprimand her if she slipped up in her inexperience.
A laugh escaped her lips at the eager Senshi of Wasps, but she greeted his introduction with a polite nod as well. Serpentine took care of introducing her in return, but she offered the goggled young man a small wave.
Then Acanthite glanced between the other two senshi before asking, "Why don't you have mineral names?" Her brows drew together and she started to chew her lip, then hurriedly added, "If it's okay to ask? Sorry."Quicksilver the Archangel

Vespa was pleased that he had managed to satisfy a single superior officer, even when it caused him to be mocked by his peers. He didn't care what they thought, and if anything, it only served to raise himself above them, proving to himself that he had what they might have lacked, and that was respect for authority. He address Captain Serpentine, still holding his salute. "An honor to meet you, sir!"
Then Acanthite addressed him, and his strict, militaristic stance was shattered in a matter of seconds. He looked to her and he spoke before he really had the time to think about what was proper to say. "I... am not sure I know why, Acanthite. I was merely told that I was Sailor Vespa... I was unaware that other Senshi were given mineral names..."
Except that wasn't necessarily true. He had met Carnelian and Alkaid... but had not realized that either of those were mineral names. Now it made him wonder why his name was so different... was he not worthy of a mineral name, like them? Like Acanthite?Quicksilver the Archangel

The meeting was over.
All in all, Laurelite decided it had gone well. She did not mind the questions despite having prepared herself thoroughly to answer them. She breathed a sigh of relief as the last of the agents departed. The other General Kings and Queens had gone, though she had lingered. She had work to get back to, though this had been a pleasant break from the norm.
Now that the chatter had died away, there was an unnatural quiet in the room that just reminded the General Queen of what she had to look forward to in the future.
"I assume the meeting would have gone differently had you found it," Metallia said coolly, breaking the silence.
Though Metallia had not taken any form for Laurelite to direct her attention to, she still felt her presence. Laurelite stood up a bit taller, seemed more poised. "It would have," she agreed, keeping her eyes before her.
Metallia displayed no emotion. "I am disappointed."
"I'm making progress."
Silence, for a moment, as though Metallia was reviewing something. "Do not let yourself be distracted. Do what business you must to keep things in order, but do not forget the task I have given you. Have you found anything?"
"No, my queen. You would know if I had." Laurelite replied. There might not have been disappointment in Metallia's voice, though there was in hers. "It's only a matter of time."
Metallia took a few more seconds to respond. "Do not keep me waiting."
The chaotic pressure in the room faded shortly after she had spoken, and it didn't take Laurelite very long to determine Metallia had departed once more.
Laurelite could bide her time no longer; she collected herself and returned to the Rift.
