But...he didn't have any, was he supposed to? He lifted a paw and scratched behind his ear thoughtfully.

"I...don't know. I've just always lived here."

He always assumed that since he didn't remember he parents, that he didn't have any. It had never occured to him that he must have had them at some point.

"Or they left you here, or you lost your memory, then. You can't just not have them. "

This guy was odder than her, how fun. Loss of memory was more likely, if he didn't remember his parents and haden't lost his memory, he woulden't be alive. Because the only possible way of that, was them leaving him alone blind, and cubs that young, had no chance. Unless he just had a bad memory. But soemthing like parents wasen't easy to forget.

"Sure you dun got an idea of what happened? "

"No...I don't remember. You're sure I had them?"

Just because the leopardess had parents didn't mean he did too did it? But wait, that didn't make sense, he had to have come from somewhere. He couldn't have just appeared in the jungle could he?

"You have to, or else you woulden't even be here. "

She tilts her head, looking at him, probably lost memory, or was just very very young, but not too young. "Do you at least remember siblings? The same size as you, that look like you.. Ya know, brothers or sisters. " She felt the need toexplain, if he didn't remember parents, he might as well not know siblings. "Had two, dunno what happened to them. " She sighs, mentioning them always weighed on her, she just left them behind..

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Siblings? He'd never heard that word before. Though the leopardess was trying to explain it to him, he was just becoming more confused. He looked at her and shook his head.

"It's always just been me, no others."

If he had had parents, could he possibly have had sibblings too? He had no idea. He undestood the concept, he just didn't know of anyone but himself and the occational creature he crossed paths with. But if he had had a family, why couldn't he remember them?

Well, it was possible for him to be the only cub, but he needed to have parents. Not like he was just a puff of smoke and materialized-- she lets out a small chuckle at the thought tho, such a 'cubbish' idea. "Cloud-leopard. " She mutters to herself, imagining that if she poked him he'd be extra puffy(Of course she dosen't know that the clouds melt if you touch them. XD). Orange eyes look around, as if making sure there was nothing, before she gets to her paws. Its a little obvious the leopardess dosen't like staying still.

"M'going to walk a tad, you can come if you like. "

He watched her a moment, then looked down at the kill. For a moment he thought it was a waste to leave it there, but he was done with it, may as well let someone else have some. Afterall it hadn't really been his in the first place, he'd just been lucky to come across another leopard willing to share.

He stood to four paws, tail flicking as he walked forward. It wasn't as if he had anything else to do, he may as well go with her. Besides he was very interested in what she had to say, maybe he could learn more from her.

"Uhh...okay, sure," he grinned and followed.

Her shoulders were hunched over her head, she didnt find a reason to keep raising it all the time, so she just let it hang. A few mice skittered away or up trees as she moved, there was no need to hunt right now, so she didn't bother being stealthy. If it had depended on that, most creatures woulden't even noticed her presence.

"You said you were hunting mice? "

Might as well start a conversation, no? "Why do you hunt them? Not enough to fill any stomach. " Or at least hers. A cub might even be satisfied with a plump mouse or a hare, but her size, she needed bigger things, and, not liking to waste food, she only hunted when she really needed to, or if it was for someone else.

Keone was a bit small for a leopard, even at the age of adolescence. It was possible that his diet of mice and other small animals had contributed to his size, but it had never occured to him to think such things. He had just assumed that because the leopardess was bigger, she was older.

He nodded in answer to her question. It's true one mouse wasn't big enough for a meal, but a few were usually enough. And as he hunted fairly often, it didn't take as much to fill his stomach.

"I guess they're small, but they still taste good, and there's lots of them around," he paused for a moment before adding, "I hunt rabbits too sometimes."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 12, 2006 2:23 pm

"Rabbits taste good, and are best to catch if you need food. "

Rabbits were reasonably easy to catch, not too fast, but you had to be a little more carefull, not go for one near its hole, and be more quiet. Those big ears were rather anoying, and sometimes they leapt over your head, but out of all sucessfull hunts, the rabbits were more common.

What is there to do when your not hunting, sleeping or hidng? Usually, nothing. Maybe torment a mouse or two, but now now, that wasen't too fun. "You come here more often, know where there's some water? " Swim, that was neat. As long as there were no crocodiles.

He stopped in midstep, white paw held in the air, ears flicking as his green eyes searched the jungle. It was easy to become lost in the dense folliage, especially if one was a stranger here. Fortunately the leopard had spent his life here and had become familuar with the jungles many sights and sounds. He only needed a moment to get his bearings before setting off in the proper direction.

"Yep, there's some this way."

It wasn't far to a peaceful, quiet section of the river where the current was slow. There weren't really any crocodiles, but you might wanna watch out for the snakes. Soon the sound and scent of water found their senses.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 12, 2006 2:59 pm

"M'kay. "

She follows his lead, untill she can smell the water, and just continues the way it leads her. "Do you ever go swimmin'? Good for hot days. " She nods, swimming was rather 'fun', one of the few things Karama enjoyed. Most poisonous snakes didn't swim, the others were equally dangerous, but kil lthem and your pretty safe, just a good bite on its head. Besides, leopards weren't common targets for a snake.

"Mm-hmm, and it's good for catching fish too."

Though it might have seemed odd for a cat, Keone enjoyed the water. He loved the cool feel of it against his fur, especially in the humidity of the jungle. But more than that he loved the fish, fish was his favorite treat. Though he was a bit warry of the large snakes, they didn't usually bother him.

A few moments later they emerged from the sea of green at the river's edge. Though there was really no leaving the green here in the jungle and life flourished here at the water. The water was cool and clear, and the current was peaceful.

Karama moves forward towards the water, taking a few carefull steps because of anything that might be inthe water, but all in the area were fish. The snakes were probably busy sun bathing or something similar. It was good to be in the water, washing off any remaining bits of blood and dust. She still might even have some of her own blood on her from the thorn bushes of the other day, but now, they were more like dust.

She shakes out her fur while in the water, to help the dirt get loose. "You ever been to the thorn patches? " Karama doubts it, this male seems like he's only known this place. The dark female lowers to that the water is up to her neck, and rub a paw on her shoulders and chet. Those had received most of the thorns, so it was more likely to have blood there. The best place for entering water now was at the mistweavers lands, no snakes or crocodiles, it was probably too dry for them there.

But it was for her too, and there weren't as many fish as there used to be either.

Seemed it was just them and the fish, that was good, it meant they didn't have to worry. Keone was by no means shy about the water, rather than walking in, he jumped, leaping into the water with a splash that sent the fish scattering. He swam around happily, enjoying the feel of the cool water moving through his fur.

"Thorn...patches? No, there aren't any of those around here."

It's true there were some vines and smaller plants that had thorns, rather painful ones at that, but none of them grew in large groups. They were just something that would catch your fur as you were walking past if you weren't careful. He couldn't imagine being caught by a lot of them at once though, that sounded like something he would want to avoid.
