Luxor charged but with his opponent ducking out of the way he had to skid to a stop and turn himself around, which slowed him and gave the other time enough to get a safe distance away from him. He growled in frustration, taking heavy breaths and trying to get his energy back up for another all out attack.
But he was tiring out and that was apparent. He didn't have any magic to turn to, either, as he had not powered up into it yet. He didn't know what kind of magic his glove would afford him, anyway.
He growled, though, not wanting to back down.
"I'm going to make sure none of you have the chance to hurt people. You think you can just kill and there are no consequences for that. Even if I destroy myself in the process, I will take as many of you with me as I can."
And he meant it, as much as he could. He was carrying himself heavily, shoulders sagging a bit, eyes dark. It was a lot of big talk for a tuckered out Page.

Amethyst wasn't sure how he did it but he did. Somehow he had managed to miraculously pull off what he did and now had a relatively safe distance between him and Luxor. Relatively since his injuries slowed him down immensely even in his powered up state plus he knew that not even this would put the Page of Pluto off from coming after him should he decide to go on a murderous rampage again.
"Not me. Not today. You do that and you're no better than some of my fellow officers." He looked at him darkly, the notion that Spec-Ops could use a guy of his calibre crossing his mind briefly. Pity that the Order got to him first. Unless there was a way to make him one of them, it was better to highlight him as a potential threat that the Negaverse ought to n** in the bud while he was still... manageable as he was. "Just because you're a Knight doesn't automatically make your brand of justice more honourable than mine. This city doesn't need the likes of you." He retorted, trying to keep himself upright as much as possible while he caught his breath.

'I don't need to be better than you," Luxor growled.
He knew that some knights subscribed to that idea. They had this theory that they needed to be better than their opponents, that their actions had to mean something. They were noble and, he supposed, they fit the true definition of a knight. Luxor was not aiming for such a lofty goal. He only needed his power to stop those that hurt and killed. He did not need to prove himself as being more than them, as if his actions somehow made him a better human being.
He knew what he was getting into. The only goal he had was to kill, and that meant he was just as terrible as they were. But he would stop them, the ones fueled by Chaos, the ones that killed innocents, because they deserved to be stopped. He was still doing good, even if his methods ran contrary to what the White Moon was, it seemed, supposed to stand for.
"This city needs me as long as there are people like you around. I won't stop until you're all buried."

There really wasn't any point in trying to reason with one as far gone as Luxor already was. It would quickly degrade into a yelling competition and Amethyst wasn't really planning on sticking around any longer in his compromised condition lest their auras attracted the attention of yet another, god forbid, Senshi or Knight and landed him in a pickle.
"Just go on and let your rage consume you then. May it poison your thoughts and allow the civilians of Destiny City to condemn you as the vile vermin that you really are." He looked the Page over, bowing slightly before he turned to take his leave and go on his way. "You have yourself a good evening, Sir Luxor."
One way or another, the Page was going down be it by his own hands as blinded as he already was to the truth from his own rage or at the hands of the Negaverse. For now, Amethyst was simply content to be able to tend to himself so that he could live to see another day and hopefully be present in person to witness the other's eventual downfall one day.
Lithia_Brandon I thought that this would be a good spot to wrap on my part. Thank you so much for the RP! <3

baby_gwing ty ty! luxor is such a grump Luxor was quieted by Amethyst's anger, hearing a Negaverse soldier yelling at him about his rage and wondering where the line was drawn. He told himself he did not care if they thought him better or worse than they were, because he knew what he was doing was necessary to save lives. The end justified the means...
That was what he had to believe, anyway, now that he had started on this path.
He didn't pursue the Negaverse soldier, though, knowing when a battle was over for one night. Pushing it farther would just result in him injuring himself, and he was not even fully recovered from the last few fights he had been in. He needed to give himself time and he needed to gather his thoughts. If they were going to question him, he needed to believe what he told them.
Or just keep his mouth shut. Either way.
He took a breath and then moved to turn away, hoping he did not come to regret that decision. he wasn't sure if Amethyst was really calling it quits, but he turned and walked away anyway. He had a lot to think about, and he needed to calm himself down. It was probably going to be a long night.
