yeah ive hit that wall too. it kind of makes it hard to work on tags T.T

Jessie pulled her head out of a cabinet when Mercy called her name. It didn't take more then a second for her to see where she was pointing and spotting the bowels as well. Her brow furrowed as she tried to remember putting them there or if one of the other employees had put them there. After a moment of silence she shrugged and laughed softly, "Those house elfs really like moving things."

Ever since Harry Potter was written Jessie took to the idea of house elfs. For her it was just an extension of the sock eating gremlin in the dryer except the elfs who populated her store just liked to move things or misplace them... she always eventually found them. Although a Brownie is what house elfs were bases on. But to Jessie, Brownies were much more apt to leave the bowels out in plain view rather then place them somewhere that would not be noticed... but a mischievous elf or one that wasn't terribly bright might.

"The plates will be a welcome addition as well." Jessie said as she scooped up the bowels and plates and headed out of the break room, forgetting the cups and napkins on the counter. "So did you get an idea what the topic for tonight is?"

Mercy moved to grab the cups and napkins as Ms. Jessie headed out of the break room, having a feeling that they might be necessary for later and just wanting to be helpful. She giggled a little at the mention of house elves. "My Mom says that as much as she'd love to have a House Elf she'd be more worried about finding it stealing our socks to wear as ear warmers than actually working..."

To be fair, her mother had not been overly fond of Harry Potter, but had allowed Mercy to read them because she had expressed interest in what her peers had been reading. Her mother had then given her the Hobbit to read afterward and Mercy had found that she'd liked Tolkein's view of elves much better.

"But she also says that if she were to meet an elf she'd rather do so at the Last Homely House, instead of in the kitchen."

Mercy had to agree with her mother in that regard at least. As she followed Jessie, she thought about what could possibly be the topic of the night. "Does it have to do with elves?" She guessed, not sure if she was even close.

not bad just life unfortunately XD and the next one is all yours to finish ^.^ or we can just call it quits here heart

“Thats why I would prefer a Brownie but since things tend to move without me knowing about it I think its a House Elf” Jessie said as she passed the shelves and quickly made her way back to the front, it was just about time before the book club meeting began officially and she could already see a few of the regulars were there… their contributions to the snacks were already on the counter. With a murmured thanks she took the cups and napkins Mercy brought with her and set about opening everything and getting it placed out ready for the meeting to begin.

She almost missed the reference but smiled when she got it. “I don’t know. It was nice in Rivendell but I think I would go bonkers there after a few days.” Unless of course they had an extensive library. That she would love to see. Besides Jessie always secretly thought that most of the Tolken elves were a bit priggish. She liked the smaller fae like wood nymphs and satyrs better.

Jessie smiled down at the young girl, “Not quite however a surprising amount of the stories do have Fae magic mixed in.” A glance at the time proved that the meeting was to begin. She excused herself for a moment and made a general, and loud, announcement that the store was now closed however there were snacks at the front counter for anyone who was joining in for the meeting. A few people trailed in from the stacks and others from the front porch and walk. A good handful this time, Jessie thought to herself. “We have all heard the stories and we all know how they begin. Its how they progress and change that continue to fascinate.” She winked at Mercy and officially began the lively discussion for the meeting by starting with the classic opening… “Once Upon a Time in a Land, Far, Far, Away…”

Oh, Fairy Tales! Mercy was quite excited about the whole thing, and quickly found herself a space to stand and listen. There were a lot of people she didn't know - but she was sure she'd be fine. If she really started to get anxious or feel out of place she could always gravitate toward Ms. Jessie or slip out and call her mom for a ride.

Once she settled in though, she jumped right into the discussion, and really enjoying herself in the process.

All in all - it was a really great night.
