"It's not gross!" Goretti insisted, though seemed quite horrified that the woman had fallen down. He rushed over to her, trying to help her up. The glue was already starting to disintegrate, turning into a strange, powdered dust as it lost stickiness. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to knock you over!"
The was genuine concern and regret in his voice; he'd skinned his knees enough times to know that landing on them in any fashion was just awful. He held out a hand to help her up, saying, "I think we should be done practicing and all this, I probably gave you too many bruises! Do you want to go home and get an icepack or something? I don't live so far away, you can walk to it from here. We might have to power down in case my dad sees us, I don't want him thinking we're robbers or something…but he wouldn't mind if I was just helping you!"

Caelian got to her feet, brushing herself off and frowning just slightly at the rips in her stockings. “That’s a shame…they’re so pretty too…”
She sighed and shrugged. “Oh well. You get hurt a lot sometimes, and being prepared for it is always good. I’m just fine, Goretti, not to worry.” The squire smiled then nodded. “Yeah, I agree that we should call it a night. I don’t mind walking you home, I’d like to make sure you get there safe anyway.” She nodded at his suggestion of powering down and obliged, going from Caelian to plain old Bellatrix in a matter of seconds. “It’s always good to know the identities of your allies anyway, at least that’s my take on things.” She smiled. “Ready to head out?”

For a long moment, Goretti stared at Bellatrix before sheepishly turning around. He stood with his back to her for a long moment, twiddling his thumbs before he finally mustered up the courage to power down. "Y-you know," he said, uncertainly turning to face her, "I uhm, I wouldn't have fought you or anything if I'd known it was you! I—Millie really could have warned me! Please don't tell my dad!" he blurted, "He's not powered up or anything like you or Millie! So I can't afford to tell him because I don't want anyone to go after him because he doesn't have magic like us!"
Orin looked up at the woman with pleading eyes and a pout on his face; he was confused and relieved to know that someone he knew—someone he liked—was powered up. He trusted Bellatrix—and she seemed strong, so he knew that if he ever got into a jam he could call on her! He just…had to really make sure his father didn't hear about this. He could hardly even be happy about finding out that she was a squire when he had to stand there and worry about his father not finding anything out.

Bellatrix blinked, staring at the boy before her. “Orin!” Well, this had been rather unexpected, and interesting. Very interesting. “Millie doesn’t know, I…”
She broke off, a frown settling on her features. What had he just said? Like you or Millie?
Millie didn’t have any part to play in this war. Not her Millie. That was impossible. “…Orin, what do you mean like me or Millie? My Millie? As in my daughter? What does she have to do with anything being powered up…?”
She almost regretted asking. She didn’t want to hear that her daughter was out prowling the streets. Out getting hurt, getting picked on, or worse—possibly getting killed. The woman swallowed, reaching out and taking Orin’s hand. “I won’t tell your father. Don’t worry. He won’t find out about this, okay?”
Maybe that would get this boy to spill the beans of what he knew about her daughter. How odd. Mother and daughter keeping the same secret from one another? What a world.

Orin stared scrutinously at the woman in front of him. He looked guilty, and stayed silent only for long enough to try and buy some time to correct his mistake. Unfortunately…he wasn't getting the impression that there was any correcting this. "I…I just…"
He wasn't good at lying. He'd never been good at lying. And if both of them were powered up—what did it even matter? They could look after each other, right? Millie—Lenka—was strong. The strongest person he'd met!
"…I thought you knew," he finally finished, toeing the ground awkwardly. "She's…an eternal senshi, she's really strong…but—don't tell her, either! I don't…She's one of my best friends. I don't want her to find out that I had a big mouth and couldn't keep a secret. I don't want her to be mad at me—please don't let her know!"
The boy was a shade of desperate; Bellatrix had always seemed like a nice woman and he couldn't imagine anything bad coming from having a big mouth…but just in case, he didn't want to be blamed. Millie was the first senshi he'd ever met—he owed almost everything he knew to her. He wanted to stay friends with her, and…
Maybe things would work out. Maybe Bellatrix didn't even care all that much. Maybe she was just playing! Maybe Millie wouldn't even care either! Maybe he was just worrying for absolutely no reason!

Millie was an eternal senshi. Millie had been doing this for quite a while, it seemed. Damn. It felt like a slap in the face…her daughter had been lying to her for how long? How long did it take to become an eternal senshi? Long enough that it made Bellatrix want to either cry or throw up just thinking about it.
Though for now she just gave Orin a smile. “Come on. Let’s stop thinking and worrying about this and get you home. It’s late and tonight’s been a lot of learning for the both of us…I know I’m eager to get to sleep.”
And to check up on Millie, but Orin didn’t need to know that detail. She tugged on Orin’s hand, hoping to start the journey back to his house as soon as possible. She really had a lot to process tonight, and she wanted to get started as soon as possible.
