"I hope you stay with the team when you finish your residency..." He said honestly. If the man liked the team he could only hope he remained with them, it would be a shame if he ha to work with others. Getting to know a whole new team couldn't be that easy, at least for someone like himself it wouldn't be.
"Umm...I guess you can walk me home. I promise I'd be fine though." He could handle himself but he didn't want to argue the fact, nor did he think it wise or safe to tell the other he was a senshi. He might not be one for fighting but he could easily get himself home via roof tops. It was a faster way to get home and if he ran in to trouble he could get help at least.
"It's a bit of a walk though..." And he didn't want the other walking that whole long way, especially if walking wasn't the others thing. This was, if he actually thought about it, the only exercise he ever did. Although he'd never thought of it was such, not till now really. It was always just something he had to do. Walking to places rather than driving to them. He supposed he wasn't as lacking in the physical exercise department as he'd originally thought himself to be.

"Me too," he said softly before buttoning himself up and giving another smile. When Ian said he could walk him home he nodded, "I'd feel better if I went with you. I don't have to walk you all the way if your not comfortable with it, but at least half way. Stay here, I'm just going to tell you mom that I'm going to walk with you."
Xander disappeared through the doors to the emergency room for a few moment finding Linore and letting her know he'd run into Ian that he was going to walk him home, at least half way before heading back out to the waiting room.
"Alright," he said," let get going. I've got a long night ahead of me anyway, and I don't mind delaying it a bit." He laughed thinking about the training session he'd be put through in the park. It would go like it always went, since he was reluctant to hit his sister, she whoop his butt and push him until he had to react.

The other was even going to tell his mother? He was surprised by this, all of it. This was a person he didn't very well and yet the kindness and the desire, or wish perhaps, to watch over his travel home and make sure he was safe. His mother always worried but he was rather sure his father could care less, would he even notice if h didn't make it home one night? He didn't think so, too drunk to notice, and it was sad to think that such a thought was not new to him nor did it bother him much anymore.
"Alright...and thank you. You don't need to walk me but...it's appreciated." He said with a genuine smile, something which by now was a rare thing from him. It was normally reserved for his mother actually, he didn't smile around his father, even with his mother also in the room, and his friends saw faked smiles or half smiles that lacked honest feeling.
His hand still in the pocket f his hoodie held tight to his henshin pen, one never knows what may or may not happen, but it was as they walked that his hand left his hoodie and left the pen alone in it's cloth confines.
