The male lightly frowned, not liking what he heard about his sister-in-law. But how mad could he be? His father had left for seasons. To be mad at Ducky was to be mad at Dameon. After seeing the pain Dameon been through from the event...that was punishment enough. "I will tell Dad and Cressy. But Dad'll get all stared eyed and want to see him, while the instant he shows up Cressida will tear into him. She likes doing those little, cloak and dagger jabs. Over the seasons, she has evened out a little from the candy-snatching kid. But I don't think she'll ever be 'sweet'."

"That's why Junior was so mad when you lot came back." Starry sighed, not appreciating why Junior was so mad, but she could most certainly understand it. "Dad will get all starry eyed and want to meet Sigurd. Cressy..." Starry smiled. "Is Sigurd a good fighter?" She asked, curious.

"I have a feeling he's going to need to be with her for a sister in law. I love her with all my heart, but she's a fighter." Starry smiled, shaking her head. Cressy was never a sweet demon.

The demonic shrugged, as he himself didn't know. He didn't ask Sigurd about it ever, because it wasn't something that concerned him. "He trains a lot. And is very strong. I don't know if he has any technique..." It reminded him about the strange handshake between the males. "Junior seemed to approve." He didn't notice it at the time, but subconsciously he had tucked the exchange away. "That may be a way to gain her acceptance actually." Now that he thought about it, Cressida had only recently bonded with Junior from their mutual hobby of hunting and fighting. Quite possibly it was why he and his sister didn't see eye to eye, and might be Sigurds saving grace with her.

"It's possible that Sigurd will be fine if he can hold his own." Starry shrugged, smiling. "I'm pretty sure that Cressy would like him if he offered up a good fight." She'd seen Junior bond through things similar to it. It made sense that Cressy would be the same.

Still, Starry couldn't help but wonder why such strong arms ran in the family. Shage would probably have to worry about the same thing with his own children if he ever had them. "Do you think you're going to have children with him one day?" She asked, possibly wanting to be grandmother again.

Why his siblings loved to fight was beyond the gentle demonic. As it was however, he was fine with his non-aggressive hobbies. Then Starry asked the question he knew was coming. Instantly a blush bloomed on his face. "M-ma!" He stuttered out before realizing how loud he was. He quickly brought down his tone, hoping he hadn't woken up his old man. "I do want kids...but I don't know. We barely started dating." How embarrassing. It was time to turn the tables back. "Are you going to have any more kids with Dad?" His father loved Starry dearly. He knew the yellow demonic would gladly give her more children.

"Just so long as you have plans to make me a grandmother again. Even if it is in the distant future." She nodded, letting the subject be. At least until Shage turned it right back around on her.

Starry visibly deflated. She'd often thought about having more children. Even while Dame was gone. For a while she had thought it might fill the void in her life, but eventually she'd come to the conclusion it would do her no good. "I don't think I can..." She admitted, voice barely above a whisper. Starry knew she was getting up there in age, and even if she wasn't feeling so old, she didn't think she'd ever be able to have kids again.

As soon as she heard his question, he regretted it. He twisted at the waist to put a comforting hand onto one of her upper arms. "Oh Ma." Shageki stood up and gently kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry to bring it up. You have three kids though that love you. And you will have more grandkids, which I'll have visit you all the time." It was strange. With him as a full grown adult, he stood taller than his mother. With her saddened state, she looked fragile. "You've made a wonderful, fulfilling life."

Starry leaned into her son for a moment. It was nice that she was so much shorter than the men in her life. She was the shortest one of the entire family, but she didn't mind it in the least.

"Don't worry about it Shage. If your father and I are meant to have more children, we will." Until then, Starry just needed to not think about it. She was rather touchy when it came to children.

"I'm very happy you grew up right. You're a good man Shage, Sigurd better be an amazing pae to deserve a guy as good as you." She smiled, seemingly over the little bit of emotional crisis that Shage had brought on by mentioning more brothers and sisters.

He couldn't agree more, as something told him Cressida wouldn't be the end of his siblings. As it was however, he was content with being a comfort in the case that didn't happen. His chest swelled with pride at her praise. After all, it was every child's dream to make their parents proud. "Want me to help with Dinner ma? You really need to take it easy now and again." He flashed a bright smile, sweet as honey. Just like the other males in his family.

"Lets make dinner Shage." She smiled, standing up. "There's not much more we can do until your brother and sister come back with their catch." She smiled. It was nice of Shage to try and make her try and take things easy, but she was almost offended by how he'd said it. Almost. He'd meant it all in good senses. Who didn't want to take care of their parents?

"Can you help me cut up the salads?" She offered, remembering she had more fish to finish cutting up.

The male was quick to stand, completely oblivious to his mothers offense. He meant it with all the love he had, and so couldn't possibly fathom his blunder. He moved over to the counter where he started pulling together the lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes. "So how is Dad doing?" The journey had been very hard on the yellow demonic, as he and Raken ate the least to give the children adequate food. Then, impossibly weak and vulnerable he had been punched with bear-strength. "I'd ask him myself, but I doubt he'd give an honest answer. Be too worried about worrying me." But Starry was the closest pae to him. If anyone knew, it would be her.

Starry shrugged, not really wanting to go into depth about Dame's condition. He was healing, but Junior had taken his toll on the poor yellow demon. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to blame Junior for anything she was going through to keep Dame healthy.

"You know how he is. Quick healer and all that." She offered, glancing up at him. "He still needs his time to heal, but he's doing a great deal better." And that was all she would say on the matter. Of course Starry had noticed his moping around. Of course she'd noticed what she thought was depression. Their son didn't need to know it. Nor did the other two children. The rest of the family didn't need to know, for that matter, either. As far as she was concerned, this wasn't anyone else's business.

"Have you seen Raken since you came back?"

With Starry's answer, he instantly knew she wasn't giving him a straight answer either. Anything that was 'he is perfectly fine' was obviously not the whole story. But he wasn't about to press. He knew it wouldn't do him any good. So he left it at that as he began to cut up the vegetables. "Unfortunately no. Truthfully, I haven't seen any of our extended family since we've been back..." There were so many aunts and uncles, how could he possibly not see any? It made him wonder if everyone was okay.

"I think we should have a bit of a family reunion. The extended and the blood." She offered, setting down her knife. She'd finished cutting what she'd needed to slice.

"Sort of as a welcome home party for you and everyone else that came back." The female offered, looking to the first born of the entire family. Sure, there were pae older than him, but as far as she knew, no one else had had children before Dame and herself had.

A family reunion? That sounds perfect! A smile spread across his face as he put the pieces into a bowl and mixed them. "Yes! Aunt Dyas and Niday, Uncle Tristen and Raken. With Adora, Dyas, Hortense and Sari!" Pae he hadn't seen in seasons. There were many others of course, but those were the closest. Maybe, just maybe he'd even invite Sigurd. Maybe. After all, there probably wouldn't be another large gathering of family to introduce him for a long time.
