She watched as he moved out of the way of her attacks, and she went towards him as he did so. She got close enough to attack him, however her attack missed. Well she had to be happy that she got close enough to him to attack. Hopefully her next attack would actually get him.

Biroki scooched out of the way of the spearstrike. It didn't look that strong- maybe Zuri was tiring? Good, then he had a chance. Maybe.
He tried the trick he had tried before and grabbed the spear, sending lightning through it at her again.

As the lighning came up her spear she had to force herself to not drop it on the spot. He was strong, which she knew however it was always nice to have her knowledge confirmed. In stead of saying anything she just smiled at him and went towards him with her spear. She wasn't about to give up just yet.

Nor was he. Biroki dodged out of the way nimbly and collected powerful heat energy in his staff. The crystal began glowing. His next attack would be powerful. If it didn't end the fight, though... Well, he hoped it would.

He was getting better at dodging, that was good but she would not give up. She was always more offense than defense anyways. With a smirk she went towards him again, hoping to end the battle soon.

Biroki felt the burn of the spear's blade, heated by his own magic, sear along his side. He gritted his teeth, thankful that his concentration and reflexes had made it less than it could have been. He wasn't feeling so good- weakened definitely. He had only one chance left to prove his strength to Zuri. If he failed, he would get trounced by her again. He really didnt want to get trounced again.

Rebounding from the attack, Biroki countered with a smallish ball of flame. It was hot and probably damaging, but the intent was not merely to damage.

He let them sap some of the magic from the fireball, and they burst into a sudden swirling whirl of hot- hot- HOT fire around his fiance, eventually fading out.
He squinted through the steam coming off of the leaves. Had he won? Was Zuri all right?

What just happened, Zuri stood there in shock mostly, so much that she was unable to even try to dodge the incoming attacks. Proud, worried, it was all there in the feelings she felt. When it was done she was a little burned, and hotter than she would ever have liked to be, but she had a silly smile on her face of how proud she was of her fiance.
Snapping out of it she rushed towards him, only to have a flash of darkness momentarily cloud her vision and causing her to stop her rush and gain her bearings.

Biroki tries to dodge so I can roll stuff. HP: 6.4/24 Biroki takes 9 damage. Biroki is at -2.6 health. Biroki loses. Lightning: 4/5 Fire: 0/5 Heal: 3/5 Biroki was relieved.
"Oh g..." he began, letting the healing spell dissipate.
His eyes opened in shock as she struck him with a poisoned blow. He fell to the ground, momentarily paralyzed and slightly surprised.
As feeling began to return to his limbs, he looked up at her powerful form.
"N-not fair..." he said, wincing, "you were sneaky!"
