She loved him.
She ******** loved him.
...and she was sitting there on the bed dressed in nothing but a robe telling him that she loved him...
With the biggest, brightest ******** grin on his face, Tuck took a few steps forwards, completely intent on rolling her onto the bed.
...but food...
...but naked Heidi...
...but food...
Tuck curled his fingers around her calf and urged her onto her back. He kept himself leveled above her, though he did show a modicum of restraint when he leaned down to kiss the corner of her mouth.
"I love you."
Naked Heidi. Food.
"...you wanna fool around?"
So romance.
"...or you wanna go to dinner?"
So. Romance.

She said it.
There. Done. She said it.
She really said it. Heidi was so giddy right now. She wanted to get up and do something, and she very nearly did until Tuck suddenly stepped up to her and coaxed into lying down. Her face flushed hotly as she looked up at her boyfriend with a look of surprise. Her smile returned when he said he loved her again.
"I love you."
Yes. She loved him. She was madly in love with him. Heidi returned the affection she was being given until he asked what she wanted to do.
Her breath caught in her throat at first. She giggled helplessly, her usual response to being caught off guard. Heidi did vaguely recall a time where she had asked him to choose between sex and food.
Yes, she did remember his answer.
Heidi cleared her throat, still blushing. Her hands had moved to lay on the bed at either side of her head, smartly not touching Tuck except where he was already touching her. She smiled shyly. "I, um.." She did want to go to dinner. Heidi had had plans of going to this nice restaurant with her boyfriend and telling him she loved him and would always love him and enjoy a romantic evening with him, even perhaps a walk through the city at night, before finally returning to the hotel to continue the night in the privacy of their room..but...those plans were kind of changed now that they'd just gone and said it.
"I..I don't want to fool around...er..well..I do but I..don't...I don't really know.." how to put this delicately. Heidi sat up enough to support herself on her elbows. "Don't you want to go to dinner? You're dressed so--" hot oh my god this is my boyfriend "--nice and..I got that dress..."
Heidi was torn. Heidi would be happy with any decision they made, she really would, she was just happy being with Tuck. But what if he was disappointed? "Aren't you hungry?" Make him make the decision. Yes. This was her plan.

Well. Tuck loomed over Heidi for a few more seconds, his eyes heavy-lidded. She'd put a lot of time and thought into this trip, and she'd even made reservations.
His thoughts turned to the box that rested beneath the bed, and a very hungry smile curved his lips. Tuck could tell that she knew - and she was keeping her hands off of him, which told him a lot about what she really wanted.
It was fine. He knew how he could be sometimes - well, all the time when he was around Heidi. He could totally control himself.
Totally.
"Starvin'," Tuck pressed a kiss to her collarbone, but he did push off of the bed and moved to help Heidi sit up. "All I got left to do is put my shoes on."
He couldn't stop grinning. He might've not waited for the most perfect time, but ******** a kiss to tide me over. A little one."

Heidi swallowed and waited with bated breath for Tuck's decision, looking up at him with a mixture of excitement and shyness. This trip was for him, as she'd shown earlier she really had no problem with changing plans at all, and if they missed their reservation they could always find another solution to dinner.
Her breath finally escaped her in a giggle as he kissed her collarbone, his touch giving her goosebumps and making her shiver pleasantly. It was almost disappointing that that was all she was getting.
She was patient.
"All I've got left to put on is uh...everything.." Heidi shrugged, smiling up at Tuck. When he asked for a kiss she stood, straightened out her robe to make sure everything was covered, and made grabby hands for her boyfriend to come to her. "Just one, and then I have to get dressed," she warned him mildly. Heidi was clearly amused.
She waited for Tuck to come to her and then pulled him down for the tender kiss she had been trying to give him before, her hands cupping his face.

Tuck wrapped his arms around Heidi's waist and enjoyed the sweet kiss that Heidi pressed to his lips. He didn't hold her too tightly, didn't deepen this kiss. It was for his own self-preservation more than anything.
Tuck let out a low rumble when the kiss was broken, a content smile on his face. He took a moment to nuzzle Heidi's nose with his own before stepping away, pausing to lift her hand to his lips so that he could kiss her knuckles.
"Go on, put some clothes on. Drivin' me goddamn crazy." He grinned despite the truth he spoke.

That fond, dreamy smile was back by the time their kiss was over. Heidi watched Tuck as he raised her hand to kiss her knuckles, tucking her head under his chin and wrapping her other arm around his middle. "I love you~" she whispered happily, giggling after she spoke. It felt so good to say that. So good.
When told she needed to get dressed she smirked. He'd said she was sexy, and she drove him crazy, way to really boost a girl's ego, Tuck. Heidi hopped up on her tiptoes to give Tuck one more kiss. "Okay," she said before finally stepping away to gather her clothes. Heidi smiled at Tuck as she disappeared into the bathroom to change. She had considered changing right there but she was pushing her luck with the robe as it was.
She only came out when she was ready, wearing her new dress and putting the leather jacket on over it as she walked out. When Heidi was comfortable and grinned and did a turn for Tuck so he could see her dress all around. "What do you think? It's super cute, right?"

"I love you more," Tuck chuckled, knowing he sounded super tacky but really not giving any ******** about it. He'd said it, and she'd said it, and they still had another day where they could pretend that Deus didn't exist, that they were just a normal couple doing things that normal couples did.
While Heidi was in the bathroom, Tuck nabbed the box from under the bed and carefully placed it on top of the plush comforter that covered the bed. He left the lid on, but he wasn't going to keep hiding it.
He whistled softly when she came out, his eyes immediately going to her legs before his gaze worked up, and finally he met her gaze.
"You look ... ******** amazing, baby. Like. Really. ******** amazing."
Tuck took a second to put his really uncomfortable shoes on. Even Herryk was groaning in agony.
Whatever. Worth it.

"Thaaaank you~. You look really awesome yourself." Heidi was totally ready to leave until she spotted something on the bed.
Eh? That box wasn't there earlier.
Heidi blinked. "What's this?" She moved toward the bed, reaching for the box. Heidi hadn't brought any boxes...was this something the hotel had provided? Like, a complimentary thing?

"Dessert," Tuck placed himself between Heidi and the box before he lifted his eyebrows.
"You ready to go?"

..Dessert? She blinked and looked up at Tuck. Suspicious.
"Yeah, I'm ready..is it a cake? We can bring it with us if you want."

"No. It's not a cake. An' we ain't bringing it with us."
He squinted at her.
"Unless you don't wanna go to dinner, an' then we can stay here an' I'll show you what's in the box."

Heidi's curiosity was hooked. It wasn't a cake, but dessert was in it. She squinted right back at him while she thought over her options. On the one hand Tuck had said he was starving, and she was actually pretty hungry too. On the other hand..she really wanted to know what was in the box.
She had a feeling Tuck wanted her to know what was in the box.
She looked down at it and then up at Tuck again. "..I'm hungry." Heidi pouted. "I can wait until after dinner."

Tuck grinned and leaned down to press a kiss against Heidi's forehead before he reached down to take her hand.
"Lead the way, darlin'." His feet were already killing him. "I'ma order so much food. You think they got spicy sausage an' noodles? An' bread? We gonna order some wine or somethin'?"

As Tuck leaned in to kiss her forehead she closed her eyes and tilted her head up into the kiss, smiling up at Tuck again.
She took his hand and grabbed her wallet, offering it to Tuck as they walked out of the room. "Bread, yeah. Sausage, definitely..I dunno about noodles." Heidi squeezed Tuck's hand and walked close by his side, occasionally bumping his hip with a little grin as they walked to the elevator.
Wine? Heidi blinked. "If you want to. I've never had wine before. You're the one turning twenty-one~." She grinned, tugging Tuck into the elevator and leaning back against a wall as she had earlier. "Order whatever you want. Seriously. Anything at all."

As soon as the elevator closed behind them, Tuck was drawing Heidi into his arms so that he could bury his face against her neck.
"I love you, Heidi."
It felt so good to be able to just say it, and to know that she felt the same way. He was on cloud ******** nine.
He also might've been squeezing Heidi pretty goddamn hard.
Tuck leaned back and squinted at her.
"You tryna get me drunk?" His tone was playfully teasing.
