Lila cracked a playful smile and nodded. "That they are," she agreed quietly as they sat down, and the hostess set downt heir menus with a small click of wood on wood.
"Your server will be by in just a minute!" She said, and then she shuffled back to the hostess stand.
"So this place is a little unique," Lila said, "in that everything is handmade, down to hand-slicing the meats. And I'd totally recommend everything on the menu. Especially the fries."

So asking Lila what she liked wasn't going to work. Serenity giggled behind a hand as she sat down, taking the menu in hand and then nodded. Well, home made was good. It meant they put a lot of time and energy into their food and it usually tasted the best, from her experience. She'd eaten at places that made home made pasta every day and Serenity could easily become addicted to those places. She bit down on her lip as her pale eyes red the menu over, tilting her head this way and that, hair falling with her movements. "I may just have to try the B.G.T. panini," she murmured, licking her bottom lip lightly. "Goat cheese is so good.. Combined with bacon and tomato? I imagine it's like a sandwich made by a god!" Despite her petite stature, the white haired girl could pack away the food. It just meant she spent extra time at the gym to balance it out, but hey, working out helped her moods too! Still, she looked over the menu again and then looked back up at Lila. "What... do you usually get?" Songstress Kitsune OMFG I FINALLY REPLIED. Also, that whole menu needs to be on my table right now.

"Oh, I've tried everything at least once - though the reuben is probably my favorite," Lila admitted. "And yes - the B.G.T. is absolutely fantastic." She laughed a little as their waitress came back.
"Can I start you off with something to drink?" She asked.
"I'll take a Scarlet," Lila replied, "and can you put in for a large order of doughnut holes for us?" She looked back to Serenity. "Trust me, you'll want them for dessert."

"At least once, hm?" She teased, grinning wide. "Reuben.. I'll have to get that next time, but there's something about the tempting call of bacon, goat cheese and tomato that's just far too alluring." They didn't have her favorite breakfast of champions, then again it wasn't breakfast time. She toyed with her fingers, looking at Lila when the waitress came over and then bit down on her lip. "..I'll have the same and.. Yes, the doughnut holes sound delicious." Serenity had the sweet tooth of a child and she would never grow out of it. "Anything sweet sounds delicious to me, though, so.." She shrugged fairly innocently before laughing. "Do you know how to ice skate?"

Lila chuckled. "I guess we're ready to do sandwich orders too, so a reuben for me for sure." The waitress nodded and wrote down everything on her pad, as Lila handed over her menu. "Also, a large order of fries, with the truffle ketchup and...hm...thai chili mayo?"
She looked back to Serenity. "I don't actually. Do you? It's impressive, but I can't seem to keep my balance on skates." She was certainly willing to admit her own imperfections.

"I'll take the GLT, extra cheese, please? But not.. too much. Just a little. ..And almost burn the bread but not quite?" Serenity felt she was being picky as hell, but she didn't care. She as paying for food, she wanted it a specific way. The pale, short woman bounced a little before biting down on her lip. "..I'll take a bite of yours and you can have a bite of mine, hm?" Those mascara covered lashes batted as she tried to look sweet and innocent. "Oh! I do. I ice skate for fun. There's a lake near my home that freezes over that I go skate on. ...It's on our property, so it's technically my lake, but we let whoever come and skate on it with me." She shrugged lightly and hummed. "I can teach you. It's not hard to keep your balance! Were you good at rollar blading? It's really similar to that..."

The waitress nodded, taking very careful notes of Serenity's order, and then bobbed an almost-bow. "Alright! I'll be back with your drinks in just a bit!" She said, and then she darted off to the kitchen.
Lila laughed. "You know exactly what you like, don't you? I always like that in a date." And she appreciated that Serenity wasn't going for some small salad or such - she was a woman, she knew women ate. "I didn't rollerblade much. I fell on my butt the first few times and I've got four little siblings that are horrible shits," she said, but there was a degree of affection in her voice. "I just don't have very good balance, I'm afraid."

When Lila pointed out how picky she was, Serenity just flushed and bit down on her lip. Yes, she was really picky! It wasn't exactly her fault. Her life style allowed her to be extremely picky and develop a certain taste for having things exactly her way. Her hands now went to play with the napkin in her lap before looking up when she mentioned siblings. "I'm an only child, alas. I'd love to have a little brother," she gave a huge dramatic sigh, shoulders slumping. "Unfortunately my parents are too busy and claim they're far too old for more children when I bring it up to them. It's not like I'm asking for more than one little sibling. I don't even care if it's a girl at this point. Sometimes it's lonely in my house, which is why I'm out of it so much." Her hands came back up to the table and she just hummed a little. "Balance can be worked on. I do yoga in the morning down at this place near the mall. I could enroll you and you can start coming with me! It's an excellent way to build your balance and just be in a general good mood. Not to mention it helps with most aches and pains... After you get used to stretching the muscles."

"You can borrow mine sometime, he's a wonder," Lila said dryly. "I adore the four of them, but siblings are siblings." She looked amused. "I've been living in a dorm...my god, it's so quiet and lonely when I'm used to two pairs of wonder twins running around." Alright, so technically Cass and Thalia weren't actually twins, but they were barely a year apart in age and they certainly acted like they were.
"For the first couple weeks, you'll probably have to call to remind me - what time in the morning?" If it worked with her class schedule, she would so be there. Yoga was great and calming. Plus, she'd get to spend more time with Serenity.

"Can you do that? Just borrow someone else's sibling?" She asked, arching a delicate brow with a giggle. Honestly, she may have to take her up on that. Just to see what it was like to have a sibling. She leaned her elbows on the table and put the her chin in her hands, fingers curling on either cheek, resting lightly as Serenity's eyes caught Lila's own and she winked a little more. Now came the picturing Lila in yoga gear. Yoga pants were very comfortable, and the shirts that Serenity prefered showed off her flat stomach. Serenity didn't do yoga to lose weight. She did it because it helped her relax and just got her away from the nosy butler and head maid her mother and father used to hound her to do things. "Well, they have classes all day and morning, so if you can't go in the mornings, I can go any time you can." She was flexible with her schedule because what did she have to do? Very little. "I'm also thinking about getting an apartment. I don't like living at home anymore. Being hounded to get a job or go to college. I told them I was taking a year off when I graduated, but they never listen." She tapped her pinkie against her bottom lip, sighing heavily. Serenity might have a flair for the dramatic.

"Sure. He bakes, so you'll probably get scratch-made cake or cookies or pie out of it." Lila laughed. "I'll just tell him to treat you the same way he'd treat me." Alright, maybe not exactly the same way. Her brother was going to be on his best behavior if she lent him to her girlfriend, damn it.
Lila grinned as the waitress came by to drop off their drinks, and then walked off again. "I'll have to check my class schedule, and we'll figure something out." She reached up to run her fingers through her hair. "It sounds so great, starting off the day with yoga to relax."
She raised her eyebrows. "I've been thinking of getting an apartment, if I can find a part-time job. I've applied a couple places, but you know how it goes. Maybe I'll try for bartending in a couple months when I hit 21." She could totally bartend. She'd be great.

A laugh was her answer at the sibling-swap thing and she hummed softly, taking her drink when the waitress brought it. She sipped at it slowly, and with a little hum. It was delicious! It caused Serenity to kick her feet a little bit in a very childish way, but she didn't really mind. It seemed like Lila didn't mind, either, really. Serenity, despite her age, looked very much like a child and often got treated like one until she pulled out her ID. "Mm, we can work something out, I'm sure. as for the apartment..." Her voice trailed off and she tapped her lip again, more out of a tick than anything. Would it be to soon? More than likely, but it would be cheaper on both of them. Serenity hummed a little and looked at Lila again. "What if we went into a two bedroom apartment together? I've got a bit saved up to foot the bills until we both get a job and can split them right down the middle."

Lila smiled faintly, leaning forward and sipping her drink. God, Serenity was so cute, even if she seemed a lot younger than she was. Normally Lila wasn't fond of that, but in this case...yeah, she liked it a lot.
She tilted her head to the side and considered, taking a sip of her drink. An apartment together, with a girl she'd only barely gotten to know? A smile appeared on her face. "I like that idea, as long as it is a two-bedroom. I don't know if we're at the sharing a bed stage yet!"
And as long as it was a two-bedroom, if they ever did broke up maybe they could still work things out as far as being roommates went. Though she'd rather just not break up, if that was at all possible.

She didn't always act as young as she looked. It was just when she was really, really happy and content that Serenity let her childish side come out. When the mention of sharing a bed was brought up, her pale cheeks lit up like a Christmas tree and Serenity actually squeaked. Coughing a little, as she choked on her drink, she stared at her wide eyed. "I-I-I wasn't suggesting anything like that!" She stammered, holding up her hands and shaking her head. Of course it would be a two bedroom! They were so not there yet, and Serenity wasn't sure when they would, and she wanted to take her time doing that and just. No. She felt her heart slam in her chest. "God, Lila, I wasn't... I mean.. Of course it'd be... Why..."

Lila actually started laughing. "Serenity, sweetie, I'm teasing, I promise," she said, reaching out to grab her girlfriend's hand. "I doubt either of us is ready for that," which was an unusual state for her, since usually she worked very differently (hop in bed hop out never call again).
Serenity was special, though, and if it took time and work to get to that point, then well, it'd be worth it. Especially if even the insinuation could get blushes and squeaks like that.
