MetalHead76 I don't even mention the technical level.. Just say he's the most soulful guitarist of all time, and most will agree with you. I don't own any Jimi CDs, but I can still hear him on the radio every once in a while. Plus, I've got a friend who is pretty much a hippy reborn, so I hear about him all the time. Anyone know where I can hear his rendition of the National Anthem played at Woodstock? I can't quite say the most soulful guitarist of all time...that's being unfair to quite a few different guitarists out there. (Duane Allman, Derek Trucks, Brian Voth etc, etc.) However, I do give him credit for putting alot of emotion behind his playing.

tolkien well, you know when computer animation first came out like in video games? How its all weird and...chunky So, you're saying his fingering of the instrument was sort of awkward and chunky? If that's what you meant it's no suprise; like I said, he was a very emotional player, however, not great on a technical level.

I just bought the Expirence Hendrix disk, and i love it. Voodoo Child and All ALong The Watchtower are awesome. I still like SRV's version of Little Wing better though.

I've heard some of his songs, and they are pretty good! I have also done a picture of Jimi Hendrix in controlled pen and ink, which was entered in an art show. plus, I also did a reprt about him. If I remember correctly, he's part Mexican, Native Amarican, White, and Black.
