"Very curious. I apologize for asking so much of you Enki. You truly are a special pae it seems. Where I came from, I knew much about many things, but in this new place I still have very much to learn." Zecora smiled lightly, she noticed his head tilt at her and so she explained her actions. "It is my hope that a new plant will grow from my discarded fruit. That is if de pesky birds don't go running off with it." Zecora laughed heartily.
"So what are you doing here in dese woods today sir Enki?" Zecora asked the male curiously. "Do you live nearby?"

"No it's no probably Zecora. But I don't know much myself. To be honest, this is my first time here. I'm at least a week from home. I probably know as much as you do about...Everything. Well..I know herbs and plants in the forest thanks to dad." He smiled to her before kneeling down, digging a small hole in the ground. "Only one way to keep the birds or any animals off of the seeds. Gotta plant it of course." He carefully picked up her discarded fruit and placed it in the hole, covering it up with the dirt he had displaced in the first place. "There. That should do it."
He stood up as she asked some more questions. "Like I said, I'm a week at least from home..And I haven't been home for a few now. My father suggested that I explore the island...So that's what I was doing out here. Just looking around and...Thinking. It's about all I can do."

Zecora's eyes widened. Of course, where had her mind wandered off to that she had forgotten to cover her seed in dirt. That was the most basic of gardening things. Though gardening itself was not her specialty, she at least knew that much. She was clearly distracted by her new friend. "Ah, thank you for that. It sounds like you are on a great journey."
Fiddling with the handle of the basket in her hand, Zecora began speaking again, "You know herbs and plants? You truly remind me so very much of my people. In truth, I have been out here studying herbs and plants for many moons now. I am a healer of sorts. Many of the herbs I knew are not here and many of the herbs that are here, I do not know." Zecora had a feeling this new friend would be very helpful in her studies.

Enki laughed and nodded. "I can help you if you wish though like I said I live very far away. Where do you live anyways?" He simply asked. He had no clue after all. He made a motion with his head for her to walk with him. His eyes fell to her basket, he hadn't noticed it before. "Perhaps you'd allow the gentleman here to carry that for you, dear lady Zecora." He smiled to her.

"I live closer den you, but still farther away in Laisidhiel, the faun city. My people settled into the tree after we came to our new home." Zecora explained as she pointed in the general direction. The city was so big, they could probably see the top of it if they were in a clear spot. Zecora still considered the other fauny to be her people now, even if she wasn't quite the same as them.
"You must know all about it if your father is a faun though." Zecora handed over her basket, which was not very full at all, she hadn't been very successful yet. "I thank you good sir." She smiled back at him politely, it was nice... and different... to be treated in such a way. Zecora was a bit of a hermit, and did not usually socialize in a way like this, but Enki reminded her so much of home that it was comforting.

Laisidhiel. He nodded. "Yes, I've heard of Laisidhiel. I've never been there myself...Heck I've only heard her voice once." He chuckle slightly. "Well..Barely really but ya." It was hard to explain to her. "I suppose it's because I live so far away. I don't even know if I'd be allowed inside since I'm only half faun, you know?" He hadn't even thought about ever going into Laisidhiel before...Though it would be cool to see where she lived and all...Other faun and fauny. He really only knew what dad told him, but he had never seen how the faun society worked after all.
He smiled to her as he took her basket, looking down to see it's contents. "Looks like you still have some work to do. Let's see if I can't help. What are you looking for?"

"You have heard her voice? What did she say?" Zecora asked curiously. It still was interesting to the female that the tree spoke to anyone at all. She had called the fauny home to her, it seemed a miracle to Zecora that this could happen. She nodded her head slowly, stroking her chin thoughtfully. It did seem the faun were very inward focused, although she was only just starting to adapt to this new society and had no idea of the reasons why. "It does seem perhaps the faun are wary of change... but your father is a faun, as you say. If Laisidhiel has spoken to you, perhaps you belong there just as the fauny belong there?" She suggested.
"Ah yes, it used to be I knew exactly where to get what I needed. Alas, now I have to search for every-ting, and make sure it is de right ting." It was long and tedious work now. Perhaps someday she would know where everything was again, but for now her journeys to get supplies were long. "I be needin' herbs for your typ-i-cal ailments: burns... illness of de stomach... fever... " Zecora began to list off.

Enki shook his head. "It was so so faint. I couldn't tell you. Just knew there was a something in my head that wasn't my own thoughts." He tried to remember what his sister said that day. "You know, my sister mentioned seen strange faun to me that same day." He canted his head. "I suppose they are connected." Hmm. He never even thought about the connection between the two events after all. "I dunno. If you say the faun are wary of change I might give Laisidhiel a heart attack. I'm in my own league of different and change."
He nodded to her list. "Easy. We might have to walk a little but that's not too hard to find from what I've seen in my time here."

Zecora nodded her head in understanding. She hadn't heard Laisidhiel herself, only felt the tug, but she was sure other fauny had heard her voice. "Hm... perhaps Laisidhiel was calling all of her children home. You are just as much her child as I am from what I understand." Zecora smiled and laughed, trying to imagine a tree having a heart attack. This Enki was funny. "I suppose it couldn't hurt to find out. Perhaps if you get closer, you will hear her." Zecora suggested as she walked beside the leafy angel. "Ah that would be perfect, Guide Enki... I am most glad to have run into you dis day."

"From what I know I'd image I'd have to speak to the Chief before I do anything." Rais was his name? His father had mentioned him once or twice, how he was present at his father's teenage ceremony. Though his father didn't spend much time in the tree, so the stories of the Chief were limited. He wasn't too sure what type of man the leader the Chief was...Even just thinking about speaking to a being with such power made Enki nervous.
"I'm sure she'd be confuse. What would she say to a child that bares no resemblance to any of her others? What if she doesn't want me?" His ears feel at the thoughts. He was probably more of an outsider than she was.
He did smile at her comment though. "I am glad to have met you as well Zecora."

"That would be wise, I do not have much authority on any of these tings." Zecora agreed. Zecora wasn't going to speak much further on it, despite living in the tree for a few moons now, she didn't feel like she knew much about the hierarchy and leader. "Laisidhiel is a tree is she not? She has no eyes in which to see. Perhaps she looks at the soul." she smiled at Enki. From the entire conversation they had so far, she could tell he was self-conscious about his appearance, but Zecora didn't think he should feel that way, he was quite the handsome pae.

See into the soul. Could Laisidhiel really do that? What would she see in his soul? What did he see in his own soul? He never really thought about these before. It almost scared him to think about.
He looked around for a moment before his eyes caught a glimpse of something different in sea of green. "Well I'll be..." He made a be line for what he saw. "Dahlias." He kneeled down to the small group of flowers. "Mystery Day too. You normally don't seem them in forests. This must a sunny area then. A gap in the trees." He looked over the flower, the deep dark purple petals with white tips. He carefully selected one before plucking it from the stem. He got back up and walked over back to Zecora, presenting her with the flower wondering if she'd take it.

Zecora's eyes lit up when she was presented the flower, it was truly a beautiful specimen. "Tis a beaut-i-ful flower," Zecora stated in bewilderment, "For what is its purpose?" she asked Enki, thinking that it was one of the plants that offered some sort of remedy, and not realizing it was a gift. "It seems special. A mystery you say?" Zecora's head tilted at the way he had described the day as a mystery. Enki was right though, with the sun hitting this patch of flowers, it was something magnificent. Zecora let herself warm in the sun's ray.

Enki smiled as she seemed confused. "It's called a Mystery Day Dahlia. And it's purpose..." He moved over closer to Zecora, slipping the stem of the flower behind her ear. "Decoration." He took a step back to see her adorned with the flower he presented to her. "Suits you well."

Zecora's grey striped cheeks became tinted with pink as she blushed. It was not often that she was treated this way. As a shaman-type, most did not view her as a thing of beauty or desire but as someone to go to when they needed help. "That is most kind of you," she said softly. Zecora couldn't see what she looked like with the flower, but she felt more beautiful just from being gifted it and wearing it.
